Welcome to Papakea! Located between the Kaanapali and Kapalua world-class golf resorts and minutes from shops, museums, restaurants, and galleries in nearby Lahaina and Whalers Village, Papakea is a 13 acre oceanfront resort with the true aloha feeling of Maui. There are two private pools, two Jacuzzi's, direct beachfront access, a cabana, three lighted tennis courts, two shuffleboard courts, two 18-hole putting greens, Koi ponds, lush gardens, and 12 outdoor barbecues. The resort also has an Activity Desk. For the sports enthusiast, the golf courses of Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby and so are beaches great for snorkeling and boogie-boarding. Alternatively, take your time walking the miles of soft sand beaches. Our condo is fully remodeled and re-furnished with granite counters, a plasma TV, the works! Our second floor 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo is directly oceanfront with its own private lanai in the sought after 'L' Building. Nothing but blue sky and ocean! One of the rare 2bd/2ba units where the Master Bedroom faces the ocean. The unit is air-conditioned and also has ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. We offer free wireless Internet access. Sip a cocktail on the lanai and enjoy the beautiful views of the neighboring islands of Lanai and Molokai. Parking is close to the building, and both elevator and stairs are located close-by. The living area has ample seating, as well as satellite TV, VCR/DVD player, and a stereo with CD player. There is a table with seating for four on the private lanai. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. The unit also has its own washer and dryer. As renters ourselves for years, we have tried to think of everything possible from our experiences to make your stay comfortable. The oceanfront Master Bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of dresser and closet space. It has a full ocean view and the bathroom has a shower/tub and separate vanity area. The second bedroom also has a king sized bed and plenty of closet space. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and separate vanity area. There is a queen sized pull-out sofa in the living room for extra guests. All linens including beach towels are provided. We are required by the State of Hawaii to post our Department of Taxation Registration number, which is W50156142-01 and our on-island contact is Maui Rentals and Realty, LLC, 1087 Limahana Pl., Lahaina. We had a lovely time. Unit has a spectacular view… the whale watching was phenomenal!!! The area is perfect for morning walks and eating establishments! I would recommend this unit for a relaxing and invigorating stay.

We were not excited about the kitchen pests or the smell in the kitchen when we first got there. We cleaned the counters and by the next day, the odd smell was gone. The pests were a recurrent thing. I think it’s to be expected in Hawaii. We ended up keeping our dry goods stored in the oven and microwave for piece of mind. The other issue was the loud noise in the master bedroom from the slatted windows. I read the reviews from previous vacationers so I knew there would be noise from the waves. Just didn’t expect it to be as loud as a freight train. It might not be as bad in summer or on less windy/rainy nights. The condo itself was a great location. The furniture was comfortable. And that view. Breathtaking every morning! We saw so many whales. I could have sat on the lanai all day whale watching. Can’t rave enough about the view.
If your priority is whale watching, this is the condo for you. If you prefer a good nights rest or are a sensitive sleeper, you might think twice.

Perfect location for whale watching in January. One morning while we were having breakfast on the lanai we saw one slap its tail 21 times. The apartment is just as advertised. Everything was easy.

We had a lovely stay and couldn’t have asked for a better appointed condo, it has everything you could possibly need or want. Gorgeous view in a quiet location.

This is our 3rd time staying here and we love it. The ocean view is awesome and we saw whales every day. Great location (walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants). The grounds at the Papakea Resort (where the condo is located) are very well kept.

Right on the waterfront. Could hear the waves from everyone in the condo. Spacious and clean. Plenty of beach activity equipment for use in the condo. Parking was easy. Overall great stay
Only disappointment was no real beach or snorkeling on the premises. Water was too rough for kids in this location.

Everything about the condo was perfect. It was clean, well stocked, even had a pack n play for the baby! The beds were comfy and the property was clean and well kept. We would love to come back to this unit!

We enjoyed the beautiful ocean views. However during our 10 day vacation, we kept finding a large pool of water under the master bedroom carpeting. We called the manager a couple of times and when the workers came the day before our checkout, they discovered that drainage water from the upstairs bathroom was the reason for the big puddle in our bedroom. We were literally stepping on another unit's bathroom water throughout our stay. No wonder I got sick half way through our vacation. I made my family leave Old Lahaina Luau early because I wasn't feeling well. The manager and the resort people did nothing for us. They just left our unit and had the plumbers get to work when we checked out the next morning. I can't imagine what that disgusting carpeting would look like if we haven't told them about the water. The 1st floor condo below us was probably affected too.

This condo has everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay in Maui. The Papakea Property is well maintained with lots of amenities. We enjoyed the pool, bbqs, shuffleboard, snorkeling, beach next door, evening sunsets on the lanai and the nearby walking path. A huge plus was the three AC units.

This condo had everything we needed for a great vacation. Its best feature, of course, is the unobstructed ocean view. It was also comfortable and extremely well stocked. The hosts made sure we had a pack and play for our toddler, which was so helpful. There was also tons of beach gear and binoculars for whale watching. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

This was our second time staying at Papakea, we loved the condo so much! It was absolutely perfect for us, fully stocked with the best view ever! We use the pool almost every day. Also played pickle ball and shuffleboard, so much fun! Made friends with the nice neighbors as well. Great location and close to beaches and shopping. We hope to return again soon.

Condo had almost everything one would need. Lanai provided excellent views of whales. No problem with parking. Suggest providing information on how to work the TV. Would like to return in a couple of years if possible. All in all, it was great place to relax

We loved the location! Loved the easy access to pool! We used that more than the beach! We stayed plenty comfortable with the fans and windows open. I do wish there had been a beach to have easier access to without having to drive but overall it was a great experience! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Property was immaculate with putting’ course’ and shuffleboard. Some daily activities. Additional complex fee . Beautiful location. Couple doors down from start of board walk. Lots of food trucks nearby and store/strip mall

Great condo with amazing ocean view. Location was close to everything -- grocery, shopping, beach, etc. The only downside for our stay was the guest bed A/C was not working. Otherwise, this was perfect. Everything you need is there! We would stay here again for sure!

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could ask for. The extras in the closet for the beach were awesome. The view from condo was absolutely breathtaking and the location of the property was convenient to everything which came in handy since we did a lot of exploring all over the island. We had a great vacation and would recommend this property.

Maui is the best and we had an awesome stay! Amazing ocean views from the main living room and the master bed room. So close you can hear the ocean. Ocean and Beach access was a few minute walk. Mahalo and we will be back!

Our family enjoyed a great ten days here, waking every morning to coffee on the lanai, snorkeling and body boarding during the day, and home grilled sunset dinners in the evening. The condo had everything we needed for a perfect vacation.
Shopping was super close by - quick trips to the ABC store and fun afternoons in Lahaina. During our stay, we snorkeled at Honolua Bay, enjoyed the Royal Lahaina Luau, took the Lana’i sailing tour, watched the sunrise at Haleakala, traveled the road to Hana, swam at Black Rock beach… and always enjoyed our return to the ocean view at the condo.
When we needed a repair, Christine responded right away. Our friends have already taken note of the spot so they can hopefully return here for their next vacation, as well.
The Papakea Resort is close to everything, but the beach is not crowded and the grounds are spread out and spacious. The kids spent their down time right there on the beach.
If we’re able to return to Maui, we would definitely love to stay here again!!

Great Everything
The grounds were very nice and the waterfront unit is spacious, well stocked with beach gear and home amenities with excellent beach access, local shopping and easy walking distance to the other resorts in the area. Spectacular ocean and Island views anytime of the day from this unit!

Great sprawling property right on the ocean. Condo was very well stocked with all the necessities as well as the items that make Maui fun, like boogie boards, snorkel gear, chairs, towels, toys, etc. condo is spacious,parking is good. Easy access to Kapalua, Lahaina, etc. condo L205. Second floor, has an elevator.

Perfect base for our Hawaiian vacation!
This condo provided a perfect home base for our vacation! The condo is as it appears with a front row view of many rainbows and amazing sunsets! We were a short drive from beautiful beaches (with plenty of body boarding and snorkeling), restaurants, and activities. The condo and grounds were neat, clean, and convenient--including the tennis/pickle ball courts which provided many hours of evening competition. We also took advantage of the fully-stocked kitchen for more than a few meals and never lacked for any utensil, pot, or pan. If we return to Maui we would definitely stay again!
