Unfortunately my initial impression of the house was not great. I had to clean both bathrooms before I could even use them. Overall I felt that the house was in need of some serious deep cleaning. I could see the house being rough after a busy summer season, but that’s not the case; it’s spring. The walls are marked up. Most of the closet doors are broken. The walls could use some fresh paint. Cupboards have old food and coffee left over from previous visitors (some being expired by over a year!). All the windows were dirty, to the point that it distracted from the view outside. The guest bathroom has black all around the grout. Mold was growing in between the fridge doors (I also cleaned the fridge) The back screen door is in terrible shape. The screened in porch wasn’t even attempted to be cleaned, had a good covering of dirt and pollen. The neighbors were all pleasant. The dock was enjoyable. It’s a good location.

We meet up with my kids who both live in SC, one was on break and this house was perfect for us. Close to everything (dining, grocery stores, etc..) in MP and an easy ride into Charleston or IOP. Pretty much everything you need for either going out or for staying in and cooking. Smooth and easy check-in and great communication with the owner. We are in the Charleston area 4+ times per year and this place is a great mix of convenience, value and simplicity.

Our family stayed here for most of a week for our daughter's wedding. Everything was wonderful and well stocked. The beautiful setting added to the experience!

Our stay in Mount Pleasant on Shem Creek with our family for Christmas was amazing. We couldn’t of asked for a better home and surroundings to have rented. Joe was very accommodating and helpful to our questions and his home was beautiful as well as the view from his dock on the creek. Thank you for a great experience.

I can't give this property high enough reviews. We stayed there family of 5 for long Thanksgiving weekend and it could not have been better. Each of 3 bedroom sleeps 2 plus a day bed in the office area. Really cool backyard with fire pit, outdoor fire place and a grill. Access to the creek is also great. And my young adult kids loved the loft with a very nice pool table. Oh, my wife says the kitchen was great too. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Great location and nice amenities. Some of the checkout tasks (wash and fold towels, take trash) were inconvenient and unconventional, but otherwise nice property.

We had a great week at the property and thoroughly enjoyed the time on the dock overlooking the marsh. We rented paddle boards and kayaks from Half Moon Outfitters and they delivered and picked them up from the house. Overall, a nice place to stay near Charleston.

We booked for a small couples trip and couldn’t have been happier with the house. The area was fantastic with easy access to downtown Charleston (15 minute drive) and the surrounding Mt. Pleasant area was great as well. Joe was a great host, and allowed us to check in well ahead of the schedule. We can’t recommend this stay enough.

We had a ball at Shem Creek! The dock is a true gem! My husband, 3 adult children and myself all agreed we wished we could have stayed longer! Lots of great food options and conveniences in the area. We would totally go back!

Beautiful home and convenient to everywhere we wished to visit but best was family time fishing on the dock and pool tournaments.

This property is in a great neighborhood and the house was fantastic. Great location right on the water with a covered dock. Pool table in the game room was great. My only complaint is that if you go in the summer the house will be hot! It looks like they’ve put an addition on the house and the AC unit cannot keep up. It was consistently 78-80 degrees in the house throughout the day with the AC running nonstop. Even at the it was not that cool. Also, you have to wash all the towels, dry and fold before checking out which was kind of a pain. Overall the house was beautiful.

We had 5 friends and family staying here and it was more room than we needed! We enjoyed nights out on the dock fishing and just enjoying the view! We had everything we needed and then some! My kids especially enjoyed the game area loft and we played a few card games up there too! The kitchen is beautiful and stocked!

I can't say enough about this property. Our family had an amazing stay. We fished off the dock and caught a 5 pound Redfish and some smaller Sunfish. The kids loved hanging on the dock and playing Cornhole. It is centally located to all kinds of activities. 20/min to Charleston and Isle of Palms. We miss this house and will be back!

This property was perfect for my family during our getaway in the the Charleston area and my son's baseball tournament at The Shipyard Baseball Complex. Great location, close to everything but in a nice quiet neighborhood, and peaceful backyard. Definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting this area.

Came to town go fish. Beautiful area of Charleston. Will definitely be coming back next year.

We have stayed here a number of times for baseball tournaments at Shipyard and CofC (Patriots point). Very convenient location to the fields and many great dining choices. Plenty to do at the house between games with Shem creek fishing and a pool table, or just enjoying the amazing views! The owner is very accessible and responsive! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was just as we expected per the listing and photos. It was clean and well maintained. The owner was quick to respond to any questions that came up. The neighborhood was quiet and felt private and secluded, but yet we were very close to stores and restaurants, and it was just a short drive to the to sights we came to see.

My family and I had a fantastic time - just priceless moments with my adult children. Sun, fishing, paddle boarding, real family time. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly. Very much looking forward to our return. Best dock ever!

My son got married at Patriot's Point. It was the perfect location to host family, proximity to the venue and other restaurants and activities. We did host a brunch the day after the wedding for about 25 people. The house is perfect for entertaining, with lots of space to relax and enjoy the view!

This home exceeded our expectations! The house was impeccable and had everything you need for a staycation (kitchen, outdoor fireplace, grill, dock, etc.). Location was ideal for amazing local dine-out options, excursions and easy drive to downtown Charleston.

We headed to Shem Creek between Christmas and New Year’s and the house was perfect for us (4 adults and 2 kids). Location is spectacular as we ate at Shem Creek a few times and also headed to Fort Moultrie on Sullivan’s Island, Fort Sumter and Patriots Point. Easy drive to Charleston as well. Views from the pier were beautiful and we did catch a few fish to keep the kids occupied. We would definitely recommend the place.

The property itself is close to everything- -minutes to local breweries, distilleries, Folly, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, the Shem Creek Boardwalk, and Charleston. All are even close enough to Lyft/Uber and enjoy a night out. There are so many local hotspots, parks, beaches, and historical sites to explore. One week just didn't seem enough. Next time we'll make it two.
