Our stay at this home in the Keys was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty and serenity of the location. The title "paradise" truly does it justice. The highlight of our stay was the proximity to the beach. Just a short walk away, we found ourselves on pristine sandy shores, enjoying the crystal-clear waters and breathtaking sunsets. It was a beach lover's dream come true! The home itself was like a private resort, with an awesome pool that quickly became our go-to spot for relaxation & fun. Whether we wanted to take a refreshing dip or soak up the sun on the comfortable loungers, the pool area had it all. And the added bonus of having a grill made for some unforgettable BBQ evenings with our family & friends. Speaking of comfort, the beds in this home were truly a dream. After a day of exploring the Florida Keys, it was a pleasure to sink into the plush mattresses and enjoy a restful night's sleep. We woke up feeling rejuvenated and ready for another day of adventures. Lastly, we can't overlook the exceptional hospitality of the owners. They were just a text away and always responsive to our needs and inquiries. Their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring a memorable stay made us feel welcome and appreciated. Our experience was beyond expectations. If you're looking for paradise, an amazing pool, comfortable beds, a convenient location, & attentive owners, then look no further.

The property was nice and pictures were accurate. One issue of concern was that the owners controlled/locked the thermostat on the air. It was locked at 72 throughout the day which was warm and humid upstairs especially with a 9 month old trying to sleep upstairs. We had to text owners several times about unlocking the thermostat. I’ve never had that situation and it seems like over control when you are paying $5000 a week. Also umbrellas by pool would have been nice in the empty stands. The right stove eye also only seemed to have one setting and that was high. Lastly the cameras on property made some of our family members feel as though they were being watched especially considering the control of the thermostat. I went back and read description several times and didn’t see where cameras were noted. I think guest would like to know about cameras. Overall the property was good and the owners responded pretty quick but we would not rent this unit again due to the thermostat issue.

We really enjoyed our stay in Marathon. The house was nice and clean and well stocked. We were treated to a couple of visits of Manatees right at the dock. Our 3 couple group appreciated not having to share bathrooms. Lea and Peter are very good hosts and were quick to respond to our questions. The pool was nice and clean and we used it often. A few minor issues of upkeep on paddle boards and a missing umbrella but we understand how hard it is to keep up with the excessive wear caused by some guests. We especially enjoyed really good food at the local restaurants. Overall a very pleasant stay.

This is the second time we have rented this house. Our family enjoys the pool and dock and the space to just hang out. Pete and Lea are wonderful hosts.

This property was the cherry on top to a dream vacation. The owners were kind and quick to respond to any questions. The home is beautiful, clean and everything was comfortable. It has all the amenities you need, and could spend the week without needing to leave. If you are going to Marathon you want to stay here.

Home is well kept and super clean. Owners were incredibly easy to deal with and responded almost immediately to any questions or to resolve minor issues. Location was spectacular. One mile from Sombrero Beach and only 2 blocks from the grocery store. Would definitely rent again!

We had a group of four friends who just needed to get away and have some fun in the Florida Keys in February. We researched a lot of homes and duplexes in the Marathon FL area. We wanted to be close to local amenities for convenience, have a heated pool, and get value for our money. For the price of this duplex unit we couldn’t find a better listing and we all felt like it delivered as advertised. We explored from Key Largo to Key West from our central location. Really though, when at the unit, we spent most of our time in the heated pool or on the lower patio area. We found all the cooking equipment / supplies we would need and more on the few nights we decided to cook for ourselves which was a great surprise. On our last night in town we all sat down and decided this VRBO deserved 5 stars. Was it perfect… no, but it was better than we expected for a rental duplex unit and well worth the price. Lea, the host, was always very responsive when we had questions or needed something. Couldn’t ask for a better host. She had some good local suggestions for restaurants too. If you’re struggling to make a choice between similar units in this price range, then stop the discussions and book Lea’s Duplex Unit. You’ll be happy you did.

Awesome house for a family vacation of 10 people. Lea the property manager was very responsive for inquiries. Pool, amenities, dock, and house were all as described. The house is located 1.8 miles to Sombrero beach, and right around the corner from two grocery stores and nearby restaurants. Fished off the dock and saw two different Manatee's on different days. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! Recommend to anyone that is looking for a house in Marathon.

First of all, wonderful host who has responded very quickly to all my questions. The place is overall quite nice and we had a very good time. The heating in the pool was a big thing for us and it never went down below 82. Special thanks for that! But. The place is a bit worn. Everything looks very nice at first but after a few days you notice that the whole place definately is in need of some work. Little things that by them self doesnt matter but all together adds up. For exempel. The portable lights in the patio were mostly broken or missing, both umbrellas broken, cooler rusty and handle didnt work at all, broken umbrella parts in a pile outside by the pool, grill was very worn. All the kitchen chairs needs to be replaced because they are not comfortable at all, one of them even had a leg broken. Rest of the furniture outside on the balcony is quite worn. Lots of furniture in house has stains on them. So. Overall we had a very good time and its a very nice house but I feel it needs some work to correspond to the price of renting it.

We all really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, we really enjoyed the pool and patio. Definitely recommend it.

Nine of us, age 3 to 72 came to the keys to celebrate my mother-in-law‘s life since Marathon was one of her favorite spots. The house, which is half of a duplex, was in very good condition and accommodated us perfectly. There is a twin mattress under the double bunk beds which allowed for everyone to have their own sleeping space. The decor was chic, but comfortable. Good beds, lovely linens, well-appointed bathrooms and kitchen. We boated, we swam, we sunned and had a fab family time.

We really enjoyed our stay, he house was as described. Only thing wrong was the umbrellas by the pool were broken. A great time had by all. See you next year!

We had a nice stay for the week (4 adults, kids age 6 and 9). Spacious home with just about everthing you need (recommend bringing dishwasher soap, cone coffee filters, laundry soap). The beds were comfy, the patio off the living room was very nice for morning coffee. The dock was great and we had manatee come right up to us. Despite it was a duplex,, we neber had any issues with noise, neighbors were very nice. We really enjoyed the outdoor area with the huge table. We did have an issue with ants coming in, but the owners were very responsive and hopefully it is resolved.

The pictures did not to this place justice. Just beautiful and right in the nest part of the Keys. Wonderful beach close by with a private pool and very functional fishing dock. Perfect for all of us!

The house, pool and toys were all great. We had great weather and we did bike to the beach, we did paddle in the canal and we did float in the pool with the outide tv and music on...well stocked house for fun!!!

Great house for our Keys Spring Break Vacation! Plenty of room for our family of four. Location is walking distance to Publix, easy drive or bike to Sombrero Beach, and provides quick access to US 1. The dock is great amenity for boaters and anglers. I brought my boat down and was able to leave it in the water all week. Pool and paddle boards also provided outdoor entertainment for our 10 and 14 year old boys.

We are frequent visitors to the Keys, living within a 1/2 day's driving distance so we were looking forward to our Spring Break trip in Marathon. This house was perfect for our family - my husband, me, our teenage daughter, her friend, our 21-year old son and his girlfriend. The space in the house is awesome. Plenty of beds for everyone to comfortably spread out and a fully stocked, wide open kitchen. We enjoyed our coffee on the back deck each morning, overlooking the canal and planning our day. The boat dock was perfect to dock our boat so we had easy on/off access to venture out through the canals. While it was a bit of a journey to get from the house out to open water, the views along the way are beautiful. When we would get back from a boat ride, the pool was perfect to jump in to cool off and relax while we planned dinner. The house is located in extremely close proximity to everything you need! Amazing restaurants are a short drive away and the grocery store is even within walking distance. The owner was extremely responsive! He immediately responded to all of my texts and was very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend this property. You will enjoy every second of your stay!

Upon arrival, our group noticed some minor maintenance issues with this property including a broken bunk bed ladder, inoperable coffee maker, and a cold/ dirty pool. We immediately reported the issues to the owner, who instead of taking care of the problems, disputed each one with us. They told us the bunk bed ladder was previous damaged but "repaired", the coffee maker was also previously damaged but had been "replaced", and then sent screen shots of the "working" pool equipment. When I again reported the issues as unresolved and asked that they be addressed, the owner and I spoke on the phone. They said the bunk bed step would just be repaired after we left (subsequently, they have tried to bill us $250 to repair this, which I am debating with VRBO), the coffee maker is new and should work and again argued that the pool is warm/ clean and because "I'm not from Florida, I wouldn't know how pools worked". Needless to say, this was alarming. After deeper investigation, we found that the pool equipment circuit breaker had tripped, and none of the pool equipment was working. Not sure what app they use, but it too does not work. The owner said the pool company would come out and look (2 days later). After the equipment ran for two days and with constant skimming, the pool did seem more clear, but never warm. Again the owner, sent a text arguing that the pool was clean and our complaint was unreasonable. Unbelievable! I would not recommend staying at this property. I understand that any rental property will have issues, however I think the key to a successful property, is how and at what speed, the issues are handled. This owner likes to argue instead of simply taking care of issues.
