Located in Sidney, this charming cabin for R 7,806 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Private lakeside modern camp perched on a hill surrounded by trees with glimpses of beautiful Great Pond. Be among the first to enjoy our 2017-built westerly facing camp perched on a slope 275' feet from beautiful Great Pond. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and sunrises in a serene setting only 1 hour from Portland, Maine. The camp is perched on a hill surrounded by tall trees with the glistening lake below. Access the shore by walking a meandering down-hill path through the woods right to the lake with your own private dock. Enjoy a day of swimming, lunch picnics, fishing or even an afternoon nap while listening to the loons. If you’d like to explore beautiful Great Pond by water you may rent kayaks or launch your own boat at the public boat launch and ride it to our private mooring. Ask us for details, and reserve early. Newly expanded trails are easy to navigate and newly expanded dock with pulley mooring for your boat in a secluded area with picnic table and seating area shaded by cedars. Property shares 225’ of shore with another property, but trails and shore areas are clearly marked and separate by almost 200’. New wide trail for portage of canoes and kayaks makes loading and unloading much easier. Inside the bright modern camp, find a fully equipped kitchen, and a living room with 3 sliding glass doors that open to an expansive deck equipped with a gas grill -- perfect for enjoying dinner and drinks outdoors or just a place for relaxing under the sun or star gazing at night. Easy to operate heating and cooling system brings comfort to those chilly mornings or hot mid-summer nights. The camp has 3 bedrooms and one sleeper sofa - perfect for 6 guests but could accommodate 8. Downstairs you’ll find a bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom with a standup shower and a queen pull-out sofa in the living room. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms – one with 2 twin beds (with storage drawers) and the other with a queen bed along with a bathroom with a full bath. A close drive from camp, find the quaint village of Belgrade Lakes that will take you back in time with its old fashioned general store and ice-cream shops. Also, nearby, find, hiking trails, Winterberry Farm (great homemade pies and chutneys and jams) and Belgrade Country Club for golf lovers. In nearby Waterville (30-minute drive) find shops, restaurants and Colby College with its beautiful Museum of Art (free to the public); a perfect excursion for a rainy day. Amazing location with lake access. The cabin is beautiful with extreme attention to detail. Comfortable bedrooms with beautiful open spaces to enjoy the outdoors. The host is thoughtful and a great communicator. Essentials provided-including mosquito repellent are a definite plus. We rented kayaks from Wells and Sons and they delivered them to the cabin. We were able to enjoy the lake fully.... Belgrade is just a few minutes away with nice restaurants and grocery basics. Nice hiking trails around.

This was a picture perfect location for our annual week away on Great Pond! The dock and pulley system worked beautifully for a boat and the kids enjoyed yoga on the dock, overlooking a gorgeous cove on Great Pond. We hope to return to this lovely home next year!

This place is our go to for getaway fun. It is incredibly relaxing with everything possibly needed in a very well stocked place. Gorgeous setting with a great dock to soak up the sun and the owner is a super good communicator. Highly recommended

House was very roomy and large enough for our family. Wish there were a few more cabinets and closets. The outside deck and dock was very large for all of us; however there was no ladder for getting in and out of the water. Also the path to the dock was difficult for my husband and myself (path was steep in some places) but the kids did a lot better. The owner was very responsive to our questions and got back to us quickly. Overall it was a good place to stay.

Great week at the lake cabin. Well stocked - just wish we would have had better weather! Maine was in the middle of record rainfall but we found fun anyway! Bar Harbor, Freeport, horseback riding, great seafood/dining and the zoo! Tks again Ross.

This was our first time staying in Belgrade and we fell in love with this quaint little town. We are so happy that we rented Ross' cabin for the week. It was absolutely perfect and just so cozy. We had the most relaxing stay and loved everything about it. Loved the little nature trail down to the water (our son loved it, too!), we watched the boats, ducks and loons daily. Ross is an amazing host and responded to my questions almost immediately. We hope to return next year!!

Our family enjoyed our time at this home up the hill from the lake! However, I will say RENTERS BEWARE of Ross’ extra “fees” on top of the generous cleaning fee included in the booking. I know for fact when stripping the beds at the end of our stay, there were no large stains on sheets or I would have remidied them. Though multiple claims of different fluids on sheets came a week later and we ended up paying for replacement sheets and extra cleaning fees. We were also accused of stealing and charged for an area rug (lmao), which he did not even look for but was later found in one of the closets. Take pictures when you leave the home is my suggestion.
Much more accommodating places, that are closer to the water, will be chosen in the future for our family.

This was the second year in a row renting Ross's camp, and this year we stayed for two weeks. As we expected, the camp was in perfect condition and we didn't want for anything when it came to any amenities. Many previous renters have complimented how helpful Ross is when called upon and that was especially the case with us. My sister and brother-in-law towed their waverunner up to the camp for the second week of our stay only to find that the battery was dead. Without even asking him, Ross took it upon his self to call around until he was able to find a replacement battery. I could probably count on one hand with a few fingers left over the amount of owners who would of went to that length to please their renters. Needless to say, we will be returning to Ross's camp, without question. Thanks again, Ross.

Wonderful stay on Great Pond
We’ve spent decades renting various locations in the Belgrade area. This place has been by far the nicest place we’ve found. Very clean and extremely well stocked. I usually bring sheets and kitchen utensils but there really was no need for that. Having AC was wonderful. The house is very quiet. Easy for early risers to do their thing while others slept undisturbed. Property owner is very attentive to details and great with communicating expectations. Will undoubtedly return in the future.

Cabin on Great Pond
Nice property, path from dock to cabin is a little steep and longer than expected. We prefer closer to the lake but it wouldn't prohibit us from staying there again. The layout of the cabin was perfect for our group of 5 adults.

Wonderful Lake Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at Ross’ camp. We felt so comfortable there with all the amenities. My 2 year old had a blast walking down to the water and seeing all the chipmunks. The lake was crystal clear and refreshing! You could tell Ross and his family put a great deal of thought and love into this camp.
Ross was wonderful to work with — would answer my emails within a few hours and gave his cell number in case we needed anything.
Wish I could give this more than 5 stars!!

One of a kind vacation week
I rented Ross's camp for my brother and sister and their family. I have been vacationing in Belgrade Lake's for a few years now and have never gone back to a previous rental......THAT IS ABOUT TO CHANGE. My family gushed about how well equipped Ross's camp was, not to mention how stylishly furnished it was. Also, kudos for how quickly Ross responded to a minor plumbing issue. We will now anxiously wait for the calendar to open up for 2022. Thank you again for a great week.

My wife and I brought our daughter and her boyfriend as well as our son and his friend, all in their twenties. For cooking/meals, reading, and game playing we had plenty of space without being in each other's faces.
Ross is a great owner and readily accessible though we had no issues at all; he gave us a tour of another, larger property nearby, though with only 6 people, we are debating the need to upgrade next time, as we really liked the house we rented. Our rented ski boat from Great Pond Marina (Bob Gardner is also very friendly and helpful) was moored just off the dock and served us well for fishing, skiing, and tubing.

Wonderful memories made!
I already miss this peaceful hideaway on Great Pond. Swimming in the delightfully pleasant water off our own private dock was priceless. The golden late afternoon light shimmering on the water is enchantingly beautiful. The house is spacious yet cozy and has everything one needs for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The little town of Belgrade Lakes is a short drive away for groceries and several cute shops and restaurants. Hoping to go back again next summer!

Peaceful getaway on the lake
We had an amazing time staying at this gorgeous house in the Belgrade Lakes Region. Ross gave us all the information we could need before arrival and made us feel very secure with all the enhanced COVID-19 precautions. The house was spotless and equipped with everything you could need to enjoy your stay. The lake is beautiful. We enjoyed swimming, canoeing and fishing while there. We highly recommend this house for your next vacation!

Great, clean house in beautiful, secluded location
We had a great week here. The house is very well maintained by an owner who is extremely easy to work with. When an appliance broke, he showed up the next day and replaced it. We loved the secluded setting, and the lake is beautiful. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a great Maine vacation.

Truly a Hidden Gem
Belgrade Lakes is my heart place and feel fortunate to have summered here for over 30 years.
When good friends showed interest in escaping NYC and heading North I went on the hunt for a lake rental. Knowing almost all available inventory on the lake, I must say I was immediately attracted to ‘Hidden Gem’ - it’s the perfect oasis tucked in the woods w/ a beautifully manicured path to your private dock. The cottage is spotless and you can tell the pride and thoughtfulness that went into its design and single every detail (big and small). As a hospitality professional myself the attention to detail, cleanliness, amenities, overall care, and communication with the owners were first star from initial request to departure.
I look forward to recommending Hidden Gem to other friends and family.

Fantastic Family Vacation
We were looking to experience Maine and this place was wonderful! Location was remote, quiet, and very relaxing. At first the kids were disappointed there was not a television, but after the first night the card games were well received and we had so much fun interacting! Location was perfect if you are wanting to water sports etc. We drove to the local coastal towns a couple days the week we stayed. They were all beautiful. Wished we had more time to stay in Maine. It's a beautiful State!

We rented this cabin for some incoming CA guests. Ross was a Dream to work with. He did everything to make our guests Maine experience the best! The cabin is pristine, very very clean and included everything you would ever need except your food. We will rent from Ross again and encourage anyone looking to rent a cute modern cabin to definitely stay here!

Perfect accommodations. Had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable.
We visit family every year here so already love this lake! We felt comfortable and this camp had everything we needed. My biggest worry was that we would mess something up because it is so new and clean. I think we did ok! The kitchen was perfectly stocked with all the things you would want in your own kitchen. The bedding and towels were soft and cozy. We plan to return!

We loved this hidden gem!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very clean and the pictures were very accurate, well decorated and the beds were very comfortable. Having three very active boys, it was a great location by the water with a beautiful trail leading down to the dock. The water was the perfect temperature and very clean. Fishing and kayaking on the water is a must. We will definitely be back! Lots memories made at this "hidden gem."
