About this cottage rental
Property includes entire house to include upper and lower level. The home is conveniently located "Between the Highways" in the heart of Nags Head at Milepost 10. Close to many popular restaurants, ABC store, shopping and grocery stores, some of which are within walking distance. Beach access with lifeguard on duty during the season, is within a 2 block or 5 minute walking distance. Perfect for a large family or 2 families that want to share rental costs and take advantage of the 2 separate living spaces. Teenagers (and parents) would enjoy the separate living area in the lower level as well. Lower level is updated and previous guests have thoroughly enjoyed it. Please see previous reviews. The home can accommodate sleeping for 8. Living space on upper level (kitchen/dining/living area) has been completely updated. Upstairs hall bathroom has been renovated for the 2021 season. There are flat screen TVs in all bedrooms plus the living areas. Home features WIFI, washer/dryer, main level deck with built in seating, screened in porch with Balcony Height Poly chairs (to see over the railings), outdoor shower and space under the house to escape the hot sun or rain showers and to enjoy the evening time. A deck is also ready for your enjoyment in the back yard plus a charcoal grill. Upper Level Includes: Master Bedroom (Queen Bed) with Master Bath, 2nd Bedroom (Full Bed), Third Bedroom (Twin over Full Bunkbed with Twin Trundle), Full Bath in Hall, Kitchen, Living Area and Dining Room combination plus access to the decks. Lower Level Includes: 2 Bedrooms (Both Queen Beds), Kitchen, Living Area and Dining Room combination, Utility Room for storage that includes the Washer/Dryer, Covered patio/drive-up space, Outdoor Shower. The home is situated on a corner lot and features 2 driveways for your convenience so no worries about parking. Note the lower level is not accessible from inside the upper level. You must walk outside to access this area. Sheets and towels are not included but can be rented from local rental companies. There are several rental options in the area. Please contact the owner for further information. Additionally, paper goods and toiletries are to be supplied by the renter. I will supply a Costco size of toilet paper and paper towels to start the season but cannot guarantee it will last!!

My friends and I come to the Outer banks every year to fish. Our stay was quite enjoyable, very clean and convenient. Everything is well maintained, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The two bedrooms on the lower level were perfect for the members that slept noisily, a definate plus for the rest of us. A++

This house was amazing. Came out to the OBX for some deep se fishing with friends and the house was much better than expected. The pictures don’t do it justice. A couple blocks from the beach. Owner was very responsive and extremely helpful with any and all questions we had. I would highly recommend this rental to my close friends and family for a great getaway.

What a beautiful house in a great location. Close to the beach while not being on a main road. A big plus was a kitchen that’s well stocked with any appliance/tool you need. Very clean, will be back next year!

The house is absolutely beautiful. Everything was clean. We came down with our boys, their wives and 1 grandchild. All loved the house and had a great time. The owners are so nice and veey responsive to any question. Would highly recommend.

It was a great vacation!
Susan had great communication from the start. It was a lovely house with a beautiful updated kitchen and bathrooms. There is an amazing oak tree in the backyard with chairs underneath. With the central location, we were able to conformably walk to the beach, grocery store (Teeter and Food Lion), ice cream parlor, restaurants, arcade, and brewery. We all had a great time!

Perfect House
This house was charming, decorated beautifully but still felt like home, not like you couldn't touch anything because it will break. The kitchen was well stocked with quality stuff, not cheap stuff you typically find in rentals. The downstairs is basically a separate apartment which actually worked out really well for my 2 siblings that don't have kids and enjoy the quiet. A very short walk to the beach with public access at the intersection which was awesome. Easy walking to stores, restaurants, etc. Our only problem was having to go to TJ Maxx for sheets because the listing was wrong for the bed sizes so we brought the wrong size sheets. We really enjoyed our stay (singles, married couples with small kids 8 months-6 years old and tweens/teenagers) lots of parking which was very helpful. Overall, this house was perfect and we will definitely rent it again in the future!

We had spent most of 2020 apart due to the pandemic, so we really treasured this time together. The house was spotless, well-stocked, and close to grocery shopping and restaurants. It was an easy walk to the beach. Our only issue was there were steps leading up and down to the beach, which made it hard to transport our wagon of beach things.

This was our first experience renting through VRBO, as we had always used a local real estate agency in the past, so we weren't sure what to expect. We brought our own cookware, storage containers and even some small applicances, "just in case" . Totally did not need any of it! I've never stayed in a house that was so well supplied. Likely some of the items were left over from other renters, but it was all so organized and clean that you could tell someone was managing the supplies with a view towards the convenience of upcoming renters. The house is a typical older Nag's Head style cottage, but what a surprise when you walk in! It is really attractively updated, bright and comfortable. The kitchen is outstanding. Some beach rentals are furnished with all the leftovers and yard sale furniture no one wants in their permanent house, but not this one. NICE, clean and comfortable furniture with a cohesive design in every room. Double mattress pads on every bed, pillow protectors on every pillow. Every single bedroom has a wall-mounted flat screen with streaming access. The living room has an additional DVD player. The downstairs apartment is fully supplied so no need to share appliances. It was a comfortable fit for our party of 4 adults and 3 children. Location is an easy walk to the beach. While the area is more commercial than some of the northern and southern beaches, we did not hear noise at night. The restaurant located across the street, Mahi Mahi's Grill, is new and quite popular (we loved the fish tacos). We simply added our name to the waiting list and were there in 2 minutes once they called our table. As for the beach itself, we were pleasantly surprised that the beach was fairly sparsely populated at our access point. Typical OBX waves and currents but beautiful. The owner was responsive to our questions and always personable and gracious. One note: recycling is not part of the trash pick up. There is a recycling center just a few blocks away. We dropped off our recycling on our way home and it was no more than a two minute detour. Please recycle! All in all a nice experience and we would recommend to anyone. Thank you, Susan, for making your house a treat to be in.
