About this cottage rental
Beautiful heart of pine wood floor throughout the house. Bead board ceilings and vintage furnishings. Brand new kitchen and bathroom with all amenities. Tin roof that sings when it rains! You will enjoy the whole house and especially cozy front porch and private backyard and deck. Home is on a well trafficked street between 3 secluded townhome/condo communities. Lovely church and neighborhoods across the street. There is room to park many vehicles at the house. Downtown is less than 2 miles and easily accessed by auto, bicycle, or walking. walking distance to several eateries and grocery/drug stores.

The Violet House proved to be more than shelter, it was a comforting and charming retreat! Although we were in High Point for business and were just looking for a close place to stay for market, we fell in love with her charm. Jane was a fantastic host and we intend to stay again.

The Violet House was wonderful! Jane was checking in with us as soon as we arrived and the next day in the morning to see if we needed anything. The property was perfectly quaint and peaceful. It was so clean and lovely with antiques appointments throughout. I can not recommend this house enough for a couple or possibly three people, beyond that number it will get a little small. Lovely house and wonderful host!

We've stayed at Violet Cottage several times and find it very comfortable. We had Thansgiving dinner there for our family who live in High Point.
Lovely walks around neighboring communities and local trails, too.

Me & my 2 co-workers stayed at this property for furniture market. We were very comfortable, each of us had own bed. Only one bathroom but we made it work by showering in evenings. Very safe neighborhood, close to downtown Highpoint. Home felt homey and quaint, will return!

House is well maintained and in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. TV situation could be better but that was not what we were there for so no problems. Excellent communication from owner.

Jane was so nice and attentive. The property is too cute and perfect for a small family to relax, spread, and enjoy the area. We had a junior Olympics event 30 minutes away in Greensboro and were delighted with the property despite the distance.

Took a long weekend to visit HPU. It was less than three miles to campus which was great. The host could not be more accommodating . She was excellent. The house was as advertised., clean, cozy, etc...Highly recommend staying here.

Back to the past
If you are looking for comfort..this isn't the place. But if you want to take a walk back to the past...you won't find anything better than this little house. This place was restored with so many antiques and memorabilia it would make you head spin. Since we were only going to be in the area for a couple of days. We made it work!

From the sitting areas on both the front porch and back deck to the setee with a recessed bookshelf in the living room wall, the entire place has a relaxing vibe.
