About this cottage rental

Located in Roanoke Island, this lovely cottage for R 5,526 per night is a great choice for your next break. The cottage has just been renovated in 2016. It is a multi-level home. The master suite is on the first level with a private en suite bath and private porch only accessible from the master. Two bedrooms are on the second level with a full hall bath and laundry. On the third level is the living area with an open floor plan, which includes the kitchen, dining and seating areas. There is a porch off of this level that overlooks the 13th hole of the championship golf course at the Village of Nag Head. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the items needed to prepare and serve meals. There is a gas grill and outdoor shower. All of the bedrooms and the living room have flat screen TVs and Direct TV. The cottage also has wireless internet (the passcode is posted on the refrigerator). The cottage is equipped with a phone with unlimited long-distance access. Weekly rentals are Sunday to Sunday. Linens and towels are not standard, but can be provided upon request. Upcharge as follows: Beds made upon arrival + 2 sets of towels is $25/bedroom or $75 if all 3 used. Make your own beds, (sheets & towels in room) is $15/bedroom or $45 if all 3 bedrooms used.

We enjoyed our stay at this nice cottage. Our host Becky was very helpful and prompt in returning our call and driving over to assist us with a minor issue. The house was nicely appointed and very clean. Our only suggestions are to replace the shower curtain in the bath on the second floor, add a curtain in the master bath window, and insert some graphite in the front door lock. These are very minor issues, and we will definitely book this house again. Thanks Becky

Great location. Close to the community pool and beach access. Quiet neighborhood. House is modest, but clean and comfortable. Beware of the cactus in the back of the house, and the grass along the road that has burrs. Our corgi was not bothered by the burrs, but our little labradoodle had several after every walk. They are hard to remove and painful on the fingertips. I would definitely stay again, but wouldn’t bring the dogs.

We decided to take a quick trip to the outerbanks. Because of all of the dog boarding places that we use was booked up we needed to bring our furry family member with us. This place was perfect for us. We had stayed in a few houses down in the past and was very familiar with the Village of Nags Head. It has a nice pool and clubhouse. Also, there is parking with an access to the beach with showers to rinse off. The house was as described. It was very clean and nice. Check in was good although I think the number on the check in info maybe out of date. Becky did text us to see how we are doing getting in. Definitely would consider this place again. If there were any recommendation it would be a hose for the outside to rinse off sand. It did have an outdoor shower. Also, the shower curtain could be replaced. Even with these little items, I still highly recommend.

Great location just off the main road...close to everything but the house is not in a busy area. The listing does make it sound like you can see the golf course but the trees behind the houses in this area block all views of the course. Overall...great place to stay...great location and a very clean property.

It was a wonderful stay, great house, great location. Communication with the owners could not have been better. The Beach Club was an added bonus. Overall I would rate this 11 out of 10. Hope to do it again.

Location was wonderful and the helpful hints for places to go that the owner left in the welcome book were wonderful. Only real complaint is that the bedroom blinds do not block the lights from the grocery store during the night making the bedrooms rather bright for sleeping.

My first getaway in quite a while and it was wonderful. Close to the ocean and hiking trails, stores and so relaxing this time of year with fewer people and no kids anywhere. The house was nice and clean and provided all those little essentials you don't realize you'll need. Just take bedding, pillows (the ones provided were old and well used) and bath towels.

The property owner (Becky) is very accomodating and considerate of your needs. She is an A+ owner.The home is roomy and in very good location. While it wasn't unclean, it could have been cleaned better especially walls and ceilings( cobwebs).The interior could use some fresh paint; new area rugs and some maintenance of bath and kitchen fixtures along with improved lighting in all the rooms.The upstairs deck and deck furniture need replaced . We have stayed in OBX for 20+ years so we understand the obstacles home owners have with renting their properties especially when pets are allowed. Overall home is a good value for the area rated a "B" in our estimation.

Bedroom layout worked well for 5 adults and an infant. House is a short walk or drive from the beach. Convenient being able to walk to Food Lion for supplies.

Our family decided to take a short (fishing) trip to the Outer Banks and were thrilled to find an affordable, pet-friendly home. Some pet-friendly rooms/homes leave a pet odor or aren’t in the best shape but I was pleasantly surprised at how bright and clean this home was. Thank you, Becky! Also, communication with Becky, the owner, was great :) We had absolutely no issues and loved our stay. I liked the master bedroom on a separate, lower level. The beds were comfortable, amenities were sufficient and location was great. We brought our linens, towels and toiletries but were happy to see hand soap at each sink and blankets on the beds. They also provide enough toilet paper and paper towels for at least 3 days. We stayed 2 weeknights and only went to the beach & Jeanette’s pier so we missed out on some of the amenities. We drove & parked in the public lots with no problem. There is a closet near the carport with some beach items (beach chair, boogie board, etc) if needed. The outdoor shower and outdoor hose at the house were perfect for cleaning up after the beach. The washer and dryer were perfect for cleaning beach towels and our own towels before leaving. We didn’t cook but the fridge kept our drinks cold! :) Great area for walking dogs. There were always others walking their dogs when we went out & everyone seemed friendly. It was our pit’s first time at the beach and we’re just so happy she could stay and experience it with us! We were all very happy with our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Maybe next time we can check out the sound and the pool!

Our whole experience with this stay was more than positive. Becky checked in with me the morning of our stay to make sure things were seamless. When we arrived the cottage was so very cute. Oddly laid out floor plan so beware if you have someone staying with you that can't go up some steps. The living room / kitchen is third floor, two bedrooms second floor and master downstairs. This didn't bother us at all. The property was pristine clean and Becky added a personal touch putting a binder together with a welcome letter just for us which included suggestions for shopping and dining. It's the little things!! All in all we already plan to return and stay here once we nail down some dates.

When booking I knew very little about OBX. I love where we stayed. The location was central to restaurants and activities. We used the beach club nearly every day. The place was great! My 12 and 15 year old daughters each had their own room and privacy. I would go back.

It's hard to find a reasonably priced pet friendly rental in Nags Head and many that you do find are worn or run down (that may be why they allow pets?). However this unit is well maintained and comfortable. Access to the community pool and beach is helpful. The neighborhood is great for walking dogs. It was devoid of all spices and kitchen wraps and extras that some people leave behind which was a bit inconvenient. But the local Whalebone seafood market is a great place to buy fish to cook (or have them steam the crab legs for you). And bring your own sheets and towels. You can walk to the shopping center if needed.

Becky's lovely home was the perfect spot for our family and dog to stay while we attended a small family reunion. The home was well-appointed with everything we needed (we did bring towels and linens as Becky told us we should do), and we fully enjoyed our time together. When we had any questions, Becky responded quickly. We would certainly stay here again.

Becky was awesome! The place was ready for us as expected. The wedding was at Haven on the Banks and this place was right at a mile away. It definitely made it convenient if something was forgotten or needed in addition at the venue! Becky also had a welcome message with additional information regarding the area! I highly recommend and plan to use this location again in the future!
