The whole place was fantastic overlooking the lake was beautiful, calm and comfortable. And to go on day trips it was very close to places. The staff were great and helpful.

Lovely location, close to lots of towns and beaches. It was a nice apartment for a few days break, some improvements would be needed
Floor in apartment was dirty and gritty, couldn't walk on it without shoes on. Sofa was very uncomfortable, mattress on bed also uncomfortable, has a plastic mattress protector which makes sleeping very hot.
Having a change of towels would be handy.

Property was very clean , lovely views and enjoyed our stay , I will say it states heated swimming pool but i could only last 10 minutes as it was freezing!
Apart from the pool it was a great stay I’ve booked again for later on in the year

Fantastic accommodation, facilities and location, also dog friend a huge bonus. The hot tub was used, as it would, after daily excursions.

Everything, it was absolutely superb. And the hot tub was lush! Staff were amazing and very attentive. They went out of their way to ensure my stay was unforgettable. Thank you.
Although I knew that pets were allowed, I chose to have the no pet accommodation. I wish there was more separation between those who wanted pet friendly accommodation and those who did not. Didn't eat in the restaurant much as pets were allowed, that said, the pets were very well-behaved.

This resort confuses me it has upmarket accomodation with impressive barns and lodges but the grounds and facilities don't appear to be of the same standard. I Stayed for a long weekend in the Hotel suites and had a couple of small issues such as no plug in the sink and heating/hot water stopped working but these were quickly rectified on calling the reception. To call it a hotel suite is a bit suspect it would be more accurately described as a lake side apartment as it has a kitchen for self catering and no daily maid service. There is a lot of building and maintenance going on but okay as out of season. The apartment was clean and bed was comfy. Free WiFi in apartment, could do with some USB plug sockets especially next to the bed and a doormat would be nice

The accommodation was great - all the rooms were larger than I expected.
The kitchen facilities were excellent and lounge lovely and comfortable.
The site was lovely and clean and spacious between each lodge.
The location easy to get to and for travelling to Padstow and Newquay.

Place was okay for what it was
The sliding door to the bathroom was not sealing the facilities, stops wrongly positioned. A gap of an inch (25mm) so was able to see into the bathroom when occupied. Door was right next to the kitchen area.

It was worth the price, felt so relaxed at Retallack. I highly highly recommend this resort. No regrets. My family/friends and our kids enjoyed the stay. Both are properties had such a cozy living room and bed rooms too. Sleeping on the bed I couldn’t wake up in the morning, very comfortable. We booked lakeview stay and that was the awesome part if you seat with your Tea.

Our lodge was well located for adults, away from family activities and the site geographically convenient. Spacious and clean, mostly provided what we needed and enjoyed the use of hot tub and our decking area was quite secluded ( not all are)
4pm is quite late for check in and our lodge still wasn’t quite ready, although was clean when we could access it. We felt it was lacking in a few things- later discovered that they hadn’t had delivery of some items usually provided in the welcome pack. It would have been better to tell us on check in. A few more utensils and also for outdoors ( e.g. plastic cups/ glasses) would be even better

Unfortunately I didn't like the fact that I payed for a accommodation and didn't get the facilities that was shown on booking.com I was given false information about my accommodation such as saying there was going to be a hot tub, I could bring my dog, and it was going to be a challet and all these things I payed for I didn't get.

Very small gripe as everything was so perfect £9.90 for a glass of wine was a bit excessive in the restaurant

The modern accommodation and bathroom.
Cleanliness, it wasn’t hovered and the vacuum didn’t work. Took 2 days for housekeeping to respond. Even then they didn’t do anything and we asked for another vacuum so that we can clean ourselves. When we used the vacuum balls of hair and lots of bit were hoovered. You can hear the noise of dirt going in.

the apartment was a great size for the 2 of us, had everything we needed, plenty of cutlery, pots and pans ECT for cooking, and beautiful views. staff were all very nice, especially the manager who stopped to have a chat with us. The resort is in a good spot with easy drives to a lot of destinations.
no hand soap provided in the apartment - which is okay, but we weren’t aware, so be prepared and bring your own, or pop to a shop beforehand.

The property and the views were amazing
Staff weren't too helpful, had to always find staff to book for leasure, those staff sent me from building to building, I didn't get to go for the spa as there was no one in the booking hut , the entire holiday 😫

Accommodation was very lovely.
Very peaceful location
A few essentials like a few teabags and maybe little sachets of salt and pepper. Just to start you off. I know there’s a shop but for 2 nights I didn’t want to buy a box of tea or new salt and pepper. Just a thought :-)

The location was perfect, close to what we wanted to do over a long weekend. Onsite staff very friendly and welcoming throughout stay. The onsite food in the lookout is OMG good so nice worth every penny definitely a 100% recommended if you stay. The lodge it's self was big enough, clean and well equipped even had a Christmas tree in the cupboard. The hot tub was fantastic good temperature low chlorine as some places it can be so over done but here it was just the right balance. Plenty to do onsite we took part in the aquarun inflatable thing on the lake be warned it is a workout lol but so fun well worth the £15 .All in all fantastic stay for my partner and I and our two children.
The site does have some monster speed bumps so if in a car that struggles on normal ones be advised you wouldn't be able to get around park well.
