About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Martin, this charming house for R 8,265 per night is a great choice for your next break. What a perfect place to be - it is private and you have the lake, 4 kayaks, fishing, a swing, day hikes or just enjoy the outdoors to pass your time. The lodge is a remodeled old lake house as a lake house should be! This is a special house on a special property with unbelievable 180" views and huge lakefront. Fish from the large dock or park your own boat in the boat house. The water is fine and nothing short of fun for everyone. The tree-filled property allows a stroll to the point or simply enjoy sunrise/sunset from the huge covered deck looking over it all. Large Master w/King bed a love seat sleeper (twin) with another chair that unfolds into a twin for a small child. Second bedroom on main floor with a Queen poster bed. Upstairs rooms - 3rd bedroom 3 twin beds, 4th bedroom has 1 Full bed. I just added a twin bed on the landing in case there is a teen who wants to be separate from the younger set. THERE ARE BEDS FOR 11 HEADS!!-- with nice linens and towels! This is a place for fun! You won't be disappointed with this cabin. The upstairs bath is remaining original to its "70's vibe". If your kids don't know anything about the 70's, here is a perfect example of the retro feel. I am taking votes - does it stay or be remodeled? It is perfectly clean and tidy - soooo 70's! This is an amazing property that still has the old time charm of a lake cabin but with modern conveniences! You will love, love, love the covered deck that allows you to see the world on the lake and be outdoors rain or shine (yes, we do have those rainy days- but the whole crowd can be on the deck if so.) A charming, fully appointed kitchen with stainless appliances exists but the outside grill is the way to go. A separate retro fridge on the deck for your drink and snacks is handy. You are carefree here---the house is set up for everyone to enjoy. Grab a book and curl up in the window seat, a huge cabinet is filled with games and a big screen TV sits over the fireplace and in the Master for those special games or programs, WiFi, and did I mention a huge dock for swimming and outdoor play? The boat house is yours to enjoy so bring your boat or jet skis! As you know, the place to be at Lake Martin is in the water! Enjoy the fire pit by the waters edge - enjoy some s'mores or the flicker of flames. Bring your own wood or use all of mine you want for a small wood fee. This was a great lake house for our group of friends attending the Auburn game. The house was perfect!

We stayed the middle of October and had warm and rainy cool days. So, we enjoyed the fire pit and fireplace. The porch was our favorite place to hang out, with the most comfortable seating. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living room had great seating to watch TV and to read. When we had questions the owners responded very quickly. We would highly recommend this place and hope to come again.

The lake house was fantastic! We had a group of 11 people ranging in age from 4-73. It was just what we needed. It had plenty of beds and sleeping arrangements. Also, the availability of the host was perfect! We hope to stay here again in the future!

Location is great and had everything we needed. 5th bedroom is really the hallway on 2nd floor. Overall - a terrific place to stay on the lake.

We had never been to Lake Martin before this stay. Did our research, found a great place to stay with a very caring owner, and had an absolute blast! Loved the dock, the boat house, and the kayaks! Could have spent our entire time on the deck with the amazing water views and comfortable seating. Rented a pontoon and wave runner from Anchor Bay Marina, picked up pizza from Lake Martin Pizza, and ate dinner our last night at Niffer’s at Lake Martin. All great choices! Thanks to Janet for being so helpful. We will return!

This property is amazing! Janet was very helpful pre-booking and made sure we had everything in order for our trip. We had family coming in from Louisiana and Georgia at different durations and the layout made arrangements easy. The house is as describe(rustic/informal) however the location and views were perfect. We spent most time on the deck or sitting by fire pit. The boat house stored our tritoon and made it easy to run in and out between rain storms. Plan to book again.

We celebrated a 50th birthday for one of the ladies in our group and really enjoyed our stay here! The back deck and view is AMAZING!! Plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed hanging out on the dock soaking up the sun! Plenty of things to do here!! We will definitely book here again!!

I cannot express how amazing this property is! Cute, cozy house with a gorgeous views of the lake! Lots of comfy seating inside, comfortable beds, beautiful decor❤️. And then there is the outdoor space….covered deck, places to nap, places to eat and sit with friends and family…the dock, the fire pit, the hammock, the kayaks….I mean, I fell in love with this lake house and I hated leaving! The owners were also quick to respond to questions, and the house was stocked with everything we needed. I highly recommend, we had the perfect, most wonderful and comfortable weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time! The location is super convenient to Harbor Pointe Marina and to local stores. The property is clean and has a great view. Easy walk to the water. Working with the property owner was easy breezy. We loved it!

Waterside Lane this was the best house I’ve rented so far. We rented about seven houses on Lake Martin. She had ample septic tank toilet paper, enough paper towels for the whole five days and nights. Tons of spices which was a plus. She had a cone shaped coffee filters which made it easier since we don’t keep those at our house we would’ve had to buy some. Another outstanding thing was mini mini books to select from to read as well as a whole armoire of games! Will definitely stay here again.

This was a great place to have our 14 people family reunion. We never felt crowded. We spent most of our time on the huge porch. Not handicap accessible. Very steep hill to water.
