Nestled in South Haven, this attractive condo for R 5,470 per night is a great choice for your next break. The Michiana Apartment #4 is available to mature, responsible and respectful adults and families only. We try to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for our guests. We respectfully ask that you please take this into consideration should you choose the Michiana Apartment #4. The Michiana was originally built in the late 1800s as a large single family home. Years ago it was converted into four separate apartments: two one bedroom apartments and two two bedroom apartments. The Michiana Apartment #4 has two spacious bedrooms with one queen bed in each bedroom. Each bedroom also has a closet, a dresser and a chair. The living room has comfortable seating as well as a large flat screen TV. Apartment #4 has recently had both mechanical and cosmetic updates while still retaining some of the original historic details and finishes. The apartment has a very functional floor plan (see pictures) that can comfortably accommodate a family of four or two adult couples. There is a sun soaked outdoor deck directly adjacent to the apartment with western exposure which gets nice afternoon sun. There is also a natural gas Weber grill off the deck. Directly next to the deck is the off street parking area so you do not have to carry your luggage or your groceries too far when loading and unloading. It sounds like such a cliche', but the location is truly ideal. The Michiana is what we like to call 'Close, but not too close!'. By this we mean that it is an easy walk home from the restaurants and night life on Phoenix Street, yet far enough away that you can still sleep peacefully at night. The walk to South Beach is only three blocks west straight down Michigan Avenue. This is the best of small town Americana! Have your morning coffee and sweet roll on a bench on Main Street, or in this case Phoenix Street, and watch people stroll by. Then head back home to change into your swim suit and walk down to the beach for a day of fun in the sun. We feel the Michiana is centrally located between downtown South Haven and the beautiful South Beach. We hope you agree and can come to South Haven and stay at the Michiana. Remember... Location. Had to wait 45 min to get code to get in- owner had viewing of family member- im sorry for that but he read my text at 745- which i text him at 635 to tell him i would arrive at 745-800. The had to wait 45 more min b4 he answered.- which he offered me a free night stay— off peak season if course, but i would not stay here again. Place was clean, however not what i expected it to look like- on site- it must of been pics of his other units. Very 2nd hand— no furniture matched, stains/discolored couch, bed were not comfy, bedding looked like something from the 1960’s- had some tears even, toaster oven was broken- either replace it or get it out of there, just overall for the prime location it shoukd be a better stay, yes its affordable but if its nice- ppl will pay more. Location was excellent tho!!! Walking distance to beach & downtown & a short drive to surround cute towns

This charmingly old and renovated house with four condos is ideally located, equally distant from lake to downtown for easy strolling to the beach, the bluff, the restaurants and shops! The cozy warmth of this home, each room with plentiful accoutrements and space, even the floorplan with bedrooms at either end of the condo were thoughtfully provided. Although we did not use the outdoor grill on the deck, our next visit will might require we give it some use for "dining out". My sister and I want to return next year to enjoy our this South Haven home-away-from-home. Yes, it's that comfortable!

My friends and I stayed at Michael's house for 3 nights the end of August 2023. The unit was very nice. The property was very close to the beach, marina, downtown dining and shopping. We had a great time.

Perfect size/location for hubby and I for a quick getaway. First time staying here. Great location, close to town and beach. Very walkable area. We visit South Haven every summer (usually with kids) and would definitely stay here again!

Thiss apartment was well appointed and cosy. It was a plus to have 2 bedrooms and the beds were really comfortable. We also enjoyed having our own balcony. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect. Basically parked the car and walked everywhere. We took a day trip to Holland to the Dutch Village(5yr old loved) and a quick trip to Saugatuck. South Haven had everything! Venezia Pizza, Chomps hot dogs, Sherman’s ice cream, Sunsetter cruise, pier, marina and BEACH. Sunsets were a generous gift from God.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is located within walking distance of the beach and downtown. There was an issue with our bathroom leaking into the apartment below, hopefully that can be looked into so that it is no longer an issue. There were some cracks around the tub so I can see how that might be the case. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, it's a perfect location in our favorite town next to our favorite beach.

Michiana #4 was perfect for our family with 2 children (ages 3 & 8). The location was perfect for us to access everything we wanted to see and do. We enjoyed hanging out on the large deck in the mornings and evenings to take in the beautiful SoHa weather. The condo was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Also, the outdoor shower was very useful when returning from the beach, especially with young children. The host, Michael, was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay and checked in on us often, which was much appreciated. We would consider staying here again on future visits.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We went with another couple and the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment which was nice for a little privacy. The couch was super comfortable and everything was clean and cozy. You cannot beat the location - walking distance to downtown and close to the beach. Great communication from owner, easy check in process and it had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!

We came to south haven for our 6th anniversary and little did I know my honey popped the question 💍. We stayed in apartment #4 , it was a good stay ! The cooking pans are heavy duty , we are buying some for our own house ! We loved being walking distance from food & the beach 🏝 . We are not a partying type of people very chill so it was perfect ! Neighbors were quite never had a issue . Only thing I would recommend is if you have littles to bring toddler safe bowls & kid silverware 🍴 , some of the measuring cups were rusty & the parking kind of sucks when there’s a lot of people renting out all the apartments at once . Once we arrived there were towels on the couch from the cleaning company but Michael called us very quickly and got them over to get things straightened out . If we would of known they were clean we would of just folded them & wouldn’t have had to bothered anybody. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves & very thankful for having to came upon this rental ! We will be back ❤️ We stayed from October 14th-16th 2022 Ps: dress WARM it was very cold !

Excellent location! Walking distance to South Beach, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. The deck flowers were gorgeous. We enjoyed sipping wine on the deck in this nice quiet neighborhood. While the unit is older and has eclectic furnishings, we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. Michael was excellent with communication.

Rental place is in the perfect location! Easy to walk to the beach, downtown, and Kids Corner play area. Our family had a nice, easy stay. Many extra amenities are provided. Michael also has quick and thorough correspondence. There are some aesthetics that need updating. However, the price and location are right!

This property was perfect for 3 best friends celebrating a big birthday! Walking distance to everything we wanted to do and yet far enough away that we got to enjoy sitting on the spacious balcony and talking for hours. The property owner was very helpful, courteous, and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

The property manager was a little slow on responses, we didn’t get the access code until I sent him a message a couple of hours before we were going to check in. The rentals are in a great location for walking distance to the beaches and the downtown area. The inside is a little outdated, you can definitely tell it’s an older building. Michael has a great sense of customer service if you have any issues during your stay.

Our stay was really great. The condo was cool and sunny with all amenities and it was walking distance to downtown and the beach which we loved. There was a lovely balcony where we spent a lot of time. Michael was the perfect host. We plan to visit again.
