We loved staying at this condo. The ocean views for sunrise and sunset were spectacular. We watched the surfers every morning and saw sea turtles and dolphins too. Next door is The Beach House which is a great place for food and drinks. You can walk to a very close outside shopping center that also has great restaurants and stores. There's a grocery and a pharmacy over there too. The condo is clean and has everything you need for a beach day or a dinner at home. The beds and comfortable and the space is perfect for four. The owner is quick to respond to any questions you have. I will definitely come bqck.

This is a great place I would recommend to anyone going to Kauai.

Everything was as described. I couldn't imagine having a better view in Poipu of the ocean and sunsets.

Location was exceptional.

The place was stocked so if you forgot something it is probably there. Able to communicate with the owner easily. Property is located in a great spot for all activities. Has all the amenities. Beds are comfortable.

Our family of four ( 12 & 13yr old daughters) had a wonderful stay at your beautiful home. The views and sounds of the crashing waves are incredible. Perfect location with the best shave ice at Riptides across the way. We loved watching the sea turtles and a great surf break out front was awesome. The condo was fully stocked with everything you would need. Beach chairs, towels, umbrella and plenty of coolers and snorkel gear. Thank you Surf Song, we will return again for sure.

The views from Kuhio Shores Condo (especially this unit) are stunning. Not only that, right in front of the building you can jump in for body boarding, surfing & snorkeling with majority of time honu’s are in the area - please respect & stay a safe distance from them. As always, know your ability when entering ocean. If this spot gets too rough for you to go into, just a few steps away is nice beach area to enter. The Beach House Restaurant is next door but I can’t comment on that as most of the cooking was done within the condo unit. It must be good as the place was always filled with people! Communications with Owner’s were excellent. - Mahalo

The view of the ocean and the waves and watching everybody surf right outside your window is fantastic. The Surfin snorkeling, and everything is right outside your property to sum it up it’s a great place to rent for your vacation spot. Don’t really like the idea of having to wash your own towels. We had an early flight to catch in the morning laundry rooms don’t open till 7:30 was really cutting it close and to me that’s just something the property people should be taken care of not the guest

The location of the property and location of the condo in the property were perfect. Beach access beside condo. Maintenance personnel keep the property looking great. The condo was perfect. We ate out most nights but used the kitchen for breakfast and snacks. Everything is well stocked. The owners were wonderful in communicating everything we needed.

Great location

Location was wonderful with beautiful view and close to restaurants etc. Upon arrival, we did not find anyone to checkin with but we did already have the code to get in. Disappointed when we found the condo still having previous tenants trash. There was also no parking permit left in the condo so we had to seek that also from the Manager. I left a phone message for the Owner but had to call back the next morning to talk with him. During the night we realized that the AC was not working…blowing warm air and would cut itself off in the middle of the night. This went on for the entire vacation. The owner did say he had a breaker changed prior to our arrival which indicates there were problems already with the AC. The Manager was brought in and eventually an AC company came 3 days later finding that a part was needed that had to be ordered. It would have been nice if we had been told about the AC upfront. Roaches were also found in the hall shower. We had to request more towels and bath mats as they were not there to begin with. The Owners did refund us $350 for the inconvenience but it certainly didn’t make up for the hot temperature in the condo and all the time spent for us to try to get the AC to work per the owner’s request. Remember there are a lot of windows and the west sun hits hard in the afternoon making it really hot. The windows were opened, but because it had been hot for so long, it was hard for the condo to cool off and the breeze wasn’t as plentiful as it could have been. As for Kauai…it was great…..very beautiful island.

We stayed in room 219 and it had to of had the best view of the ocean, the sunsets were magnificent . Seeing all the rainbows in the ocean and watching all the turtles and dolphins, just made our trip the trip of a lifetime. Thank You.

This is a beautiful ocean front condo with everything you need for a great vacation. The views are spectacular - surfers, spinner dolphins, turtles and whales - all from the lanai. The owners were lovely to deal with, very responsive and helpful. We hope to be back again soon!

Everything was great. Had ac not work for a while when we tried to use it but otherwise it was amazing. We will be back!!!

Lovely location with sunsets and sea creatures (whales, turtles) viewed from the lanai. Well equipped, wonderful hosts, unit near all you may need. Walk to dining or beach. Elevator if needed. Parking is available. Nice site manager. Parrots flock and roost nearby.Ocean sounds lull you to rest quietly.

We had a wonderful time at Surf Song. The views cannot be beat - gorgeous sunrises followed by whale sightings and even better sunsets. Walt and Joy are very accommodating hosts - it was a pleasure to enjoy their beautiful property. What a way to kick off a New Year, and spend time with friends vacationing in Kauai!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. My husband and I visited Kauai for the first time and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The condo has a spectacular view and is very comfortable and cozy. We had everything we needed and the snorkeling from the adjacent beach was great. Cannot recommend this property and the hosts enough!

To give this place a 5 star review still isn't good enough. This property is beyond words, my husband and I spent 2 weeks here for our Honeymoon in October, and we both cried when we had to leave. The views are spectacular, we watched the turtles surfing in the waves every single morning, there had to be 30+ turtles at a time. We saw dolphins and monk seals swimming back and forth. My husband had a great time fishing right there from the sore and actually caught a lot of really beautiful fish. Waking up to the sunrise and the parakeets is something I could get used to!!! We cannot wait to come back here and highly recommend this place. When we needed Walt and Joy for a little issue we had they were very quick to help us get everything resolved and were very nice. I know some people complained about the tent at The Beach House but we found it didnt obstruct our view and was actually pretty amazing to see all the weddings happening right below us, we even danced to the cha cha slide one night LOL! And the stop the weddings promptly at 9pm so there is no noise issue. Seriously I can't say enough good things about this place. We will be back every years for our anniversary!

Excellent accommodations at Surf Song condo. View from the lanai is the incredible. From morning to dusk we enjoyed watching the ocean waves crash on shore. Watching the sea turtles and surfers each day was mesmerizing. Evening sunsets were spectacular. The owners Walt and Joy accommodated our needs. We highly recommend this particular condo at Kuhio Shores.

This property was exactly as advertised! Beautiful location, comfortable, well-supplied, and convenient. The previous reviews that mentioned the restaurant next door and their tent were not our experience. We were on location from Saturday through Saturday. The Saturday and Friday evenings there was a tent erected for a wedding and reception. We watched the sunset from the lanai both nights and we could not even see the tent. In addition, the receptions were completed and quiet by 10pm. Finally, the check-in process and instructions were accurate and easy! We would HIGHLY recommend this property!

It was so relaxing sitting on the lanai with beautiful ocean views, sunsets and stars. Close to great restaurants and just a very low key wonderful vacation. We enjoyed watching the turtles and surfers also. Look forward to returning as we love the area.

The view from the balcony and living room were spectacular! Sea turtles and surfers all day long made for great watching. The Shave Ice across the street was to die for. And the location was perfect to enjoy all that Maui has to offer.

First of all the location and view couldn’t be beat. The owners were very nice and responded to concerns as best they could. The challenge started when we arrived and entered the condo about 3:30pm. Knowing check in was at 4, e just wanted to put out bags in because we had a group dinner reservation next door at the Beach House at 4:15om. However we discovered that the condo has not been cleaned and no one was there to clean it. Immediately we called the owner. Did not answer at first but we got a call back quickly. The owner was very surprised. They called and discovered that the cleaning company has overlooked our condo. They sent someone out asap We went to dinner. However if we hadn’t checked the condo first and just went to dinner we would have come back at 10:30 or so to an Uncleaned condo. Regardless it was cleaned when we arrived back. However we soon discovered that the room AC has been turned in to the lowest setting. For some reason the humidity and low temp must have caused it to lead and drip water all over the bed. Everything down to the mattress pad was wet. We could not get to any change is sheets and had no loose change to wash and dry the wet sheets. We had to turn the mattress over and flip it since the bottom of the mattress was also damp. We ended up sleeping directly on the mattress pad under a blanket and pillow stored in a closet. We lasted all the bedding out over furniture to dry Inver night. Not the best way to spend your first night in paradise. The next day I called the owner and again he was very nice and apologetic. He gave me the combination to a closet with new sheets. We didn’t need them since the other sheets had dried. I don’t know if he didn’t know what to do, but he offered to buy me a drink. They live in California. I said that would be hard. I indicated then that some consideration on our condo cost would be appropriate considering our considerable inconvenience suffered since entering the condo. He said he would discuss with his wife. Later he transferred a small amount to compensate our inconvenience. While that amount was appreciated, I think an equivalent to one nights stay would have been more appropriate. I have owned and rented condos on VRBO before too, and I understand the challenge but it doesn’t take much to remedy challenges either they were the owners fault or not. Again we had a wonderful time in Kauai and the view was spectacular from the condo, but we also left a bit disappointed.

This is our 2nd time staying at Surf Song & I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to book a stay. Besides the incredible views that are mentioned in almost every comment, the condo is in a perfect location next to the Beach House Restaurant. It is immaculately clean. I spent over 30 years working as an executive housekeeper in a high end resort area & know the challenges associated with it, but the housekeeping staff that I met here were extremely friendly & helpful even though they had very busy days. I only wish I remembered names so I could mention them here! Walt was prompt to return our call & we had no issues during our stay. The instructions to get into the condo were easy to follow even in the dark! We are a retired couple & travel with our friends who are also in their 60’s. Both bedrooms were extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked & there is no better place to have morning coffee than on that lanai enjoying the gorgeous view. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Well, the surf was up and this is about the best place you could stay if you came to surf and enjoy the south side of the island. Everything was smooth with the place. We had a really great memorable trip with my wife and our son and daughter. We will book this place again!

The view is amazing! 180 degrees of beachfront and honestly just steps away from the ocean. Lots of windows to make the front (living room and kitchen area) feel open and bright. The beds were so comfortable and the sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep. We were in the area for a wedding at The Beach House, which is conveniently only a short walk from this condo. Easy to take walks, go to the beach, and eat! Shopping area w/ restaurants and Old Koloa Town were minutes away. The owner (Walt) was very responsive when we had a question about a parking pass.

Our fourth trip to Surf Song and as always enjoyed the location, views, surfers, snorkeling, turtles and the weddings next door. Thank you Walter until next time! Cheers Greg & Connie Scottsdale AZ
