Located in Fairhaven, this attractive cottage for R 3,581 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Welcome! This beach cottage is a peaceful retreat for you. Very clean, sunny, quiet and steps away from the private beach and town boat launch. Bring your boat and enjoy Little Bay or cruise over to Cape Cod or the Islands. Separate parking for boat trailer on the property. Come and enjoy Fairhaven at its finest. The cottage has 1 queen bed and a fold out futon that can sleep 2, a new flat screen tv, washer/dryer, towels, and a fun outdoor fireplace with comfortable seating. There is also a fully applianced kitchen complete with cookware, silverware and utensils. We also have a wonderful sunroom with flat screen tv and put out couch for your enjoyment as well as a outdoor shower!! Just across the harbor visit downtown New Bedford boasting fine restaurants offering the freshest sea food on the East Coast. New Bedford is experiencing a cultural renaissance in the downtown area and there are great art galleries, the Whaling Museum (awesome), gift shops, and specialty stores. Hop on the "Fast Ferry" service at the Port Authority Terminal in New Bedford and take a day trip to Martha's Vineyard, CuttyHunk, or Nantucket. Heading east on RT195 and your at the Bourne bridge to Cape Cod. Chose to just settle in for a "off the grid" quiet romantic weekend or an intimate gathering with family and friends. Fairhaven offers some of the most serene coastal nature preserves and bike trails the region has to offer. Take advantage of all the beauty and amenities of a Cape Cod vacation with out all the traffic and expense. If you have a boat the loading dock is at the end of the street...free!. We would agree that the place was absolutely comfortable and cozy. We highly recommend this cottage. The amenities, location, and comfort was everything we hoped for. The host were outstanding and very responsive.

Cute beach cottage, very clean and decorated really nice. Enjoyed our stay there and the host, Joan is wonderful. She even left snacks and lots of supplies if you needed them. Thank you again, Joan for your hospitality and letting us stay at your home. 😊

We were delighted to get there from Vermont. Our weather was not great, but we kayaked, biked, enjoyed the historical sights, the Whaling Museum a lot and Rick swam. Had sensational food at Ricarrdi's. We would not recommend the Bait and Hook out by the west beach at all = Very Disappointing.
As for your accomodations we both fit in well. We would suggest that perhaps you take some of the items off of the book case so there is more room for our odds and ends. In the batheroom perhaps some of the space on the little shelves to the left of the toilet might be freed up for a few of you guests things. Also maybe move the conch shell on teh back of the toilet so there is room there. Not much space for toiletries. Also, a towel rack in the bathroom or somewhere would be helpful. Our weather was not clear enough to put our towels outside. We loved the outdoor shower.We have one too and that was ideal. And you had so many things for us to use that were so useful in case we forgot. I loved the space in the next door house. That was my favorite. In your ad it looks like that is the house you are renting. We did not know there would be two "houses". Thank you for your generosity. We may come again. We enjoyed the neighborhood. Everyone was very friendly. It was too chilly for the beach, but so convenient. We had a very nice time. Again our thanks.

This was the best cottage with everything we needed. So close to the boat ramp and beach with excellent views. The cottage was clean and quaint with plenty of space for two. Backed up onto a preserve-like backyard, this gave us privacy when we were enjoying the patio space. Super inviting and host was easy to communicate with. Loved it and would stay again. :)

Awesome
The property was adorable, everything one might need being away from home was there for you. Host thought of everything. Very clean, cutely decorated, awesome area, so close to the beach. Host responded quickly to any questions we may have had. Very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone. We would love to stay there again.

Quiet retreat
This tiny cottage worked well for me and my small dog, very cozy but cheerful. The neighborhood is quiet, except for a little road traffic to the.boat ramp at the end.of the street. A good spot for restful getaway. The kitchen is tiny but well supplied. While I would suggest an upgrade in the.bed linens, overall the place gets very high marks.

Our teenager loved her pull out couch in the separate building - three steps away from the main cottage, close enough yet separate enough, the perfect teenager haven. My little one stayed on the pull out futon in the main cottage. Everything was well stocked, super comfortable. The hosts were easy to contact and super helpful. Perfect way to relax
The location and logistics were very easy, which is good for us seniors. Simple unpretentious seaside area, and quiet with lots of birds right next to the patio. Would return. Easy to explore from if the spirit moves you. Water close by. Great Portuguese food in New Bedford.

Great getaway to refresh and rejuvenate!
My husband and I like to find quiet space to rejuvenate and this was perfect! Spent hours on the beach - litterly watched the tide role in and out. Lots of good food close by and quiet neighborhood. Lisa (neighbor) was super nice and enjoyed walking our dogs together.

Joan’s cottage sits near a bay and is a great place to walk to and enjoy the scenery. The neighborhood is quiet and the home has everything you could need. Joan was easy to reach if needed and the check-in and check-out process was easy. Thanks Joan!

Lovely coastal cottage
A perfect place for a quiet weekend away. The cottage is smaller but has everything you might want (pretty well-stocked kitchen, too). Nice firepit and grill in the yard and a nice patio to relax on as well. A new sunroom addition in a second one-room cottage is also very nice and accommodated our two friends who joined us for a night. There is a small boat launch about 500 feet away with a small beach adjacent that is nice to splash around in. The location is quiet but still close to grocery stores and restaurants, though during the pandemic all the town beaches we tried to go to were blocked to non-residents so we had to drive about 30 mins to Horseneck State beach -- nice beach but not as close as we had hoped. Would recommend this place for a couple, small family, or even two couples if you're willing to share a smaller space. Joan was very easy to communicate with and made our stay easy and pleasant.

Private & Peaceful
Joan and Mike were the perfect hosts. They were friendly and accommodating and provided lots of info about the area. Every amenity needed was there. Beach is so close and quiet. The cottage is well equipped, clean and has plenty of space for 4. We had a fantastic stay and hope to return!

Quaint beach cottage
Stayed here for a 5 day getaway to the coast. The cottage is quaint and well-stocked with everything you could need for a beach vacation! The location is perfect- you’re only a few minute drive from Fairhaven and New Bedford, which has a cute downtown area right by the docks with multiple restaurants to choose from. There’s a private beach and boat launch within a 5 minute walk from the cottage. You’re also minutes away from ferries that go to Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and hidden gem Cuttyhunk island. You’re also a short drive to cape cod. We enjoyed exploring the area and loved staying in such a cute place! While the cottage is on the smaller side (it probably wouldn’t comfortable fit more than 2 people), it was perfect for me, my boyfriend and 2 small dogs. Joan was a pleasure to work with and gave us several recommendations on restaurants to try- we did and were not disappointed! We will definitely be returning in the future!

Off-season bliss
If you've never stayed in a tiny house before this is your chance. Cute, tasteful and very clean but won't comfortably house more than 2 people. Short walk to beach (actually a boat launch, no swimming) but it's scenic and quiet in the off-season. Very close to the Cape, the MV passenger ferry and just across the river from New Bedford. Joan is terrific and I would stay here again.

Best Little Cottage in Fairhaven
The cottage was cute, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to to shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks for making are stay enjoyable!

Perfect Honeymoon Get Away
We choose this location out of luck, due only on how dog friendly they were and the proximity to the ocean. When we arrived we were even more thrilled with our choice. The cottage was adorable and provided anything and everything we could need for the week. It was a perfect relaxing cottage to get away for our honeymoon. The neighborhood was welcoming and friendly and it was even closer to the beach then expected. The beach was a small waterfront spot that was perfect for my husband, puppy and I. The beach was extreemly quiet and we usually had the place to ourselves. Fairhaven was a great town with lots of great resturants and just a short drive/ferry to other larger beaches, cape cod, or Martha's Vineyard. Perect honeymoon get away for us.

A Great Beach Get a Way!
What a cozy place! I never had the idea (living on Cape) that Fairhaven could be such a wonderful break! I loved being close to the landing; took me an hour to get here! A place for peace and quiet for sure! I loved the fact that it was so well appointed with all I needed to cook, clean, etc. My pug and I had such a wonderful time; he so enjoyed all the dog toys that he found!! Joan and Mike were so accommodating with questions that I had during my stay! All in all, I would go back to that little place in a second!!

Small Oasis
We rented the cottage for 3 nights. Clean but very small. We came from a wonderful home in Plymouth that had everything u could want. There was no toaster or coffee maker or dishwasher n in general we were not fond of Fairhaven. There was an excellent mexican restaurant Fronteras not far from the cottage. All n all cottage was clean, rooms were sectioned off n bathroom was separate. A good price for the area.
