Ok hotel slightly too far out of the city for ease of access with out a car

Easy access,all facilities as advertised

Double bed was 2 singles pushed together with gap in between and separate single duvets

Fantastic Hotel

Fantastic hotel just outside of the capital for perfect base for Golden Circle/South Coast tour. Code was sent a day before which gives you access to parking garage and room. Around 16 car park spaces but wasn’t an issue for us luckily. Breakfast (7-10am) was tasty, varied and plentiful. Loved the waffle making!! Room was clean with a view of the mountains and it was cleaned after a few days. Hotel is quiet and very relaxing with English channels. Wi-Fi worked great on all areas. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I return!

Great value for money!

Clean, quiet & comfortable. Breakfast spread was excellent, staff were amazing. Free car park very useful & secure.

Location isn’t the best but that’s the catch with a great price! Despite the busy road, the soundproofing was good and we slept well.

Iceland has amazing nature and Oddson gives good opportunities to refresh after long day walking.

Room was big, light and tidy. Bed and sofa comfortable. Delicious breakfast, enough variety of food. Also waffles

Breakfast could have a bit more vegetable choice. Also in sink water was going down very slow. But those are very minor issues, in general all was ok.

The Oddsson Hotel provided us a nice place to stay on our first visit to Iceland.

The buffet breakfast was well-stocked and delicious. We were glad to have different options to eat before heading out to explore Iceland. Our room was spacious and had a refrigerator and microwave. We were warm even when it was snowing and windy outside. The hotel provides a phone at the entrance in case you need help checking in or in case you need to call a local Icelandic number, like a taxi service or tour provider.

Our room faced the road, so it was noisy even at nighttime. The shower is a wet shower, so part of the floor would get wet as well. There is not a reception desk at the hotel, but there is at least a phone to call if you have any issues. Early check-in is not an option, and the baggage storage room does not open for new guests until 10am.

Great value for money in Iceland

Location, clean, breakfast, dinner, night restaurant very friendly staff, parking and communication.

Restaurant closes 10pm. After that we can’t get even bottle water. Recommend F&B dispenser machine, housekeeping every other day and no one available in person to ask for anything.

Tiszta, kényelmes szoba, ízletes és bőséges a reggeli. Szállodában is lehet vacsorázni, de a szomszédban van pizzéria, kínai és indiai étterem.

Jó 40 percnyi gyaloglasra van a belvárostól, a kis hűtő nem hűtött, cserébe reggelre megfagyott a tartalma🙈

Godt ophold med god morgenmad

God morgenmad og fint værelse som indeholdte hvad vi skulle bruge (vi havde 3 overnatninger og det levede op til vores behov). Lå udemærket placeret når man har lejet bil - både ift. hurtigt at kunne komme til centrum af Reykjavik, men også ift. at køre ud af byen. Gåafstand til indkøb med længe åbent.

Som mange nævner, er der få parkeringspladser til rådighed på matriklen. Dog skal det siges, at vi ingen problemer havde med at finde pladser i området (max. 300m væk). Ville dog være en luksus at kunne holde på adressen - eller hvis hotellet lånte parkeringspladser på den ved siden af liggende (tomme) parkeringsplads. Derudover er der ingen reception. Vi havde igen ingen problemer under vores ophold - alligevel finder jeg det dog trygt at kunne henvende mig et sted, såfremt problemer eller spørgsmål skulle opstå.

Easy access to the road out of Reijkjavik and underground parking

It advertises as if it’s closer to the city centre and with an excellent breakfast. Breakfast was mediocre and city centre was an hour’s walk away

Clean, economical Hotel away from tourist action

Clean environment Great Continental breakfast Window able to open and let fresh air in. Ease of using public transportation.

Required taxi/bus to get to the “tourist” streets/shops. The surrounding neighborhood was not as clean as the hotel so kind of an eyesore.

Good experience

The room was very clean and the hotel is only 5 km from the center of the city. There is also free hotel parking upon availability. The lobby is nice where you can have a descent dinner at fair prices. In general a good experience. The price and value relationship in Iceland is matter of a big discussion

Not a business hotel but good for guided tour trips

Small but comfortable bed The unattended checking system was solid.

Breakfast / lack of desk in the room /Wi-Fi not consistent. If oi was flying to Iceland for a guided tour excursion then I would consider this hotel. That said by southern European standard overpriced for what it is , but that summarizes Iceland on a whole.

Comfortable stay in a modern hotel

All parking spots of the premise were occupied, had to park elsewhere.

Very good

We got a large room with kitchenette and a nice view of the town and a spacious bathroom with heated floor, breakfast was delicious every morning and staff were very nice to us. Hotel is close to the main centre. Overall we loved it.

The ventilation in the room was a bit noisy at times but a other than that everything else was perfect

Nice experience

I liked the check in procedure and access to the room. I liked how clean it was. Central enough. If you have a rental car, it's only a 10 min drive from the centre.

Parking was limited. Bathroom door did not lock, it just slid over and there was a gap so never fully closed. Breakfast was mediocre.

Happy memories made with the perfect base at Oddsson hotel.

Clean, warm and comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The food was really good and the breakfast was very varied. The tour desk staff were fantastic, we needed to have contact with them whilst we were there and they were quick to help and offer advice and were always at the end of the phone.
