Beautiful location
Our room was dark and above the kitchen so smelled of fryers. No sea view but we did have a dog, so it may have been a pet friendly room. I booked early and paid A LoT for the room. I checked the day before and the booking was £200 cheaper. So when the room wasn’t amazing, I was a bit miffed!! The message is…. Don’t book early, go last minute!

Fantastic location and great breakfast, and the staff at breakfast were lovely. The main attraction of the hotel for us is the location and that it is dog-friendly.
The wi-fi didn't work at all for the entire stay - we have stayed before, and it has not been reliable previously (continually logging you out), but this time all of us had the issue of the loading page not redirecting and being unable to remedy it. It wasn't the end of the world, but not great for anyone who uses medical devices and may rely on access to wifi in case of any issues. One of the rooms (in the annex) only had a window backing on to a yard where people were loudly talking during the day, which did not feel like great value for money. That room also had no service, on top of the no wi-fi.

The location was perfect the inn itself was lovely and the meals very nice staff very helpful and friendly
I didn’t like my room 34 it sounded like a boiler was on all night and the room was on the ground floor so couldn’t have my window opened through the night otherwise it was a fantastic stay at the inn

Over all a pleasant place to stay. And a very good view from our room window.
Should have an area so you can sit away from people with dogs.

Spotless. Staff helpful and friendly. Great location.
Breakfast not the best. Squeaky floorboards. Scaffolding outside room window. (Not informed at booking stage)

The property was in a great location, very clean
The annex rooms were small with no view
as advertised by booking.com instead our high window overlooked the carpark and other buildings.

Very good value and location, excellent room with very comfortable bed. Fish and chips were fine, pannacotta was solid. Good breakfast choice, plenty of food but cooked food both good and not so good. Would definitely go again.
Some of the food: see above.

If you weren't eating in the pub, it took a while to get drinks. The new long bar wasn't open and could have been for those just wanting a drink.

The property has the most amazing views out to sea. It is very clean inside and rooms are a good size.
You had to go out the main building to get to some of the rooms.

excellent location on the harbour. Our room had a balcony and an excellent view. The room was very comfortable, but slightly smaller than expected. The buffet breakfast was good. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and it was near the boarding point for Farne Island cruises.

Lovely hotel for our birthday party stay.
The staff were efficient but not really friendly that’s just the impression I got we had 10 in our party and had the 60th party there but nothing special was done or said about it.

Food was good . Staff very helpful
Although I like dogs…feel the hotel should have distinct rooms for non dog owners or those allergic to dogs. My relations who we met there were in 1 annexe and we were in another….both had dogs in them. Don’t get me started about the fact that there were no pet only area in the restaurant…You couldn’t move around the public areas for dogs stretched out …wet dogs at that!

The location - the hotel has a lovely position overlooking the sea
Directions to the hotel were fine
Car parking in the town was nearby
Bed was comfy
The food at dinner was ok
One member of staff made me a coffee after all the machines at breakfast were turned off at 9.30am
Had to wait quite a while to be seen at reception on arrival
Dogs! - I like dogs but they were everywhere. Would be better if there was a restaurant for non dog owners
No sea view
The breakfast - Hardly anything left by the time I went down at 9 20am
Hard to find cutlery, plates, spoons
Breakfast staff unhelpful and grumpy

Loved the haddock chowder. The location was fab. we had a balcony which was great . Staff all friendly great sea view and harbour.
Room was very warm due to the towel rail. they said that they need to manually turn them down as on a thermostate. we tried to do this but ended up leaving the balcony door open over night.

Location, views and it was clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent and evening meal was good pub fayre. The parking was free on site. We had a superior room with balcony, which was of high standard of cleanliness and v large.
Not keen on dogs, so a ‘strict’ dog free dining area would make it better.

Great location, good breakfast choices. Dog friendly.
Could have done with a shower screen. There was only a bath with a hand held shower attachment.

ver clean and comfortable.the disabled assessable room was the biggest we have stayed in. There was no steps or raised area in the room . Brilliant
everything was great if I had to be picky, I would say a couple more vegetarian option on the menu would be great

Parking not convenient

Staff very friendly and couldn't do any more to help us. Had 2 evening meals there and both we're very good and the breakfast was also very good.
The hotel itself is in a very good location overlooking the sea from the restaurant and beer garden.
We didn't expect the number of dogs that were at the hotel but that didn't put us off or have really affect on our stay. All the dogs were well behaved, we're just not dog lovers.

The room was a little hot but a fan was provided in the room.

Loved our large room with balcony. Breakfast lovely and also enjoyed dinner. Our room was clean and comfortable.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, with an amazing view. Breakfast was good with a great selection of items. We had our evening meals in the hotel, which were also good. We were fortunate to find a parking space in the hotel's car park, which was a bonus as one of our family members has mobility issues so it helped being close to the hotel.
Unfortunately, my elderly Mum in Law was located next to a room where there were two dogs which were barking frequently, and disturbed her sleep. We appreciate that this is a matter that rests with the dog owners and is outside of the hotel's control.
9.0
Breakfast was acceptable but room for improvement eg more fresher pastries and fruit and yoghurt
The wet room drain needs adjusting and the floor should direct the water into the drain not all over the wet room floor Larger TV would be appreciated as disabled customers need to rest throughout the day
9.0
very spacious
The parking space which was outside the disability accommodation was blocked by another guests car if my partner had been in a wheelchair it would’ve been very awkward to gain access into the room.
I would suggest the parking space outside the room is for that room only.
5.0
Location is nice and central . The room was clean and suitable for a small family.
The staff doesn’t seem too approachable. They seem a bit ignorant.
4.0
The location was lovely, although we couldn't see the sea from our bedroom. The rooms were relatively quiet.
The cost of the room was extortionate for the quality of the hotel. I guess it was because of the season; however I would have expected more for the amount paid. For example, many things were not available or only available in limited quantities for breakfast, the pumpkin/sunflower seeds were stale, you had to pay extra for coffee other than the available filtered coffee (unlike many other hotels).
A "dog waste" bag was left outside the room on the patio.
Parking at the hotel was extremely limited (we were warned by the hotel) and so we had to park in a public parking. Given the cost of the hotel, I would have expected the hotel to have some sort of arrangement so that guests did not have to pay for the daytime parking (luckily it was free during the evening until 8am).

Location and facilities were very good, food was good and the staff very friendly.
Drinks were a bit expensive
