A good place to start is by walking around the old part of town from the Old Church Square ( Plaza de la Constitucion ) and branch out around the many narrow roads and lanes, try out some of the tapas bars and local restaurants offering local and international fare at very reasonable prices. two minutes walk from the Church Square down toward the sea front you will find what is locally known as Fish Alley, a bustling area of two or three streets full of restaurants of every kind, type and price. For the children: Fuengirola Zoo (great place to visit at night), Mijas Water Park (Aquamijas), Miramar Shopping Centre is also very closeby for those who like to shop. It also has a cinema with English movies shown. Malaga City is a must see. There are lots of places to visit including the beautiful Baroque Cathedral and Pablo Picasso's Museum. There are also many historical monuments including the Castillo de Gibralfaro and the newly restored Roman Theatre. The winding little streets and plazas are a delight with plenty of restaurants and bars to relax in. Malaga is also a great place to shop with lots of boutiques as well as large shopping centres such as Larios. Malaga also has some lovely family friendly beaches to enjoy.
