About this condo rental
Located in Dollar Point, this charming condo for R 3,297 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Great Lake Tahoe location, close to the lake(NO LAKE VIEW), shopping and dining or just a short drive to skiing at Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley USA. This spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home has nice furnishings, brand new carpet and bedding and offers plenty of room for family and friends. There is a flat-screen TV and DVD in the living room and a TV/VHS combo and computer in the master bedroom. There is a king bed in the master, 2 twins in the first guest room, 1 double in the 2nd guest bedroom. This is split level home with the master of the 3rd floor, living area on the middle floor and 2 guest bedrooms on the lower floor. The large deck is great for entertaining or relaxing in the sun. There is WiFi in the unit. The Northshore condominium complex is surrounded by pine trees and has a beautiful white sand private beach with a deep water pier along Tahoe's north shore. Summer guests have private access to the pool and tennis courts, pickle ball courts and bocce ball courts. There are chairs and umbrellas, first come first serve. Parking at this complex is by permit only, up to 2 cars. Great Lake Tahoe location, close to the lake, shopping and dining or just a short drive to skiing at Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley USA. **Renters much sign a waiver of release of liability with the HOA to rent this unit. All of our rentals come with fully equipped kitchens; most kitchens do not have pantry items due to wildlife concerns. We provide all linens and towels; most units have beach towels as well. There is a washer and dryer in every rental. Every unit has Wi-Fi. There is NO A/C, this is not commonly found in Tahoe, there are fans. STR# 6250 MAX OCCUPANCY: 6 MAX VEHICLES: 2

The property was well equipped with a great kitchen allowing us to cook each night fairly easily. All was clean and ready for use. Rooms were well set out for two parents and two adult children.Location was very good for us but you will need a car for your stay as it is a bit out of town.Minor challenge was arriving after dark and struggling to find the correct property - the numbers were not on the street - only right aboove the entrance.Other minor issue was that the heating wasn't all that consistent in the lower level requiring additional heaters to be run before going to bed. We did have very cold nights so only a minor inconvenience.

Overall a nice place and decent location to the north-west shore. The only real issue we had was any movement above the floor you're on is very creaky and loud. The pool area wasn't a long walk and nice setup, but I do wish there was closer lake access from the property itself.

Everything was great! Only complaint was that the upstairs room was super hot and made it hard to sleep. Otherwise great place and great location with a short walk to a great private beach.

Beautiful location. Place is very clean but dated. Could use some upgrades in the kitchen and deck area. Make sure to bring shampoo and essentials. Kayaks and paddle boards are not included, beach access with umbrellas and chairs only. Had a great stay!

Townhome is in a beautiful location with beach access. All original appliances and
fixtures from 1974. Would be nice to have some soap in the shower and extra toilet paper but it was an inexpensive place to stay.

We just stayed here for a month. It was amazing! Cabin is super cozy and easy. Only tough thing is the wifi is pretty bad, so its hard to work from here. We were told it would get upgraded during our stay but it never happened. But if you are here to be with people, sit by a cozy fireplace, and ski; it's an incredible spot. Only a few minutes from all the restaurants in Tahoe City as well which is super fun.

Great apartment and stay. We had a storm come through during our stay. It would have been nice if someone had communicated the condo association’s plans for snow removal. There weren’t many cars staying and ours consistently was the only one snowed back in when the snow removal truck came through. So much work!

We had a nice stay. The place was clean and comfortable. Most of what you'd need was there. We found it kind of odd there was no soap in the showers. Either provide some kind of body wash or state clearly in your posting that none is provided.

We stayed at this condo for a long weekend during one of the largest winter storms in Tahoe and we were so thankful we did! The condo itself is located super close to Tahoe City and doesn’t have any steep slopes to get to - which is fantastic for heavy snow days. We had some friends who had their cars snowed in during the same weekend, and we were able to get ours out with less than an hour of shoveling. The gas fireplace was also super easy to use and a lifesaver for us. The kitchen was very well stocked for our couple of home cooked meals. Overall a great, convenient and well-priced stay - would highly recommend!

Stay was good but check in details were never provided. I reached out to the number provided and was told they would send the check code immediately. 1 hour went by, no code. I called back and got the same answer. Hung up and waited 30 minutes to no avail. Called back and was put on hold for 20 minutes while the code was retrieved.
A lot more details that added to my frustration but are not included. All of this happened at 7:30 - 9:30 PM btw.

Very nice property, the only reason i didn’t give it a 5 star rating, was the unusually warm temps made the upstairs room very uncomfortable to sleep in.

We loved our stay! Walked my kiddos down to the beach and drove into town for little adventures. The house was simply but adequately appointed, which was particularly nice with small children who like to touch everything. Many thanks for the perfect escape from the smoke and the city.

Comfortable Property w great location
Our family of 5 (3 kids ages 10-12) enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Proximity was fantastic to a private beach as part of the condo community, tahoe city right down the street for food and groceries. Paddleboard rentals nearby in Tahoe City at Commons beach was minutes away by car. Overall we had a great experience and would return again.

Good basic condo with easy access to beach
Not a luxury stay, but clean, quiet, and close to the beach. We got the sense that the owners don't invest a lot in the rental unit -- inexpensive linens, stained carpet, old appliances, plastic table on the deck, etc -- but everything did seem clean and worked, so we can't complain too much. After all, we picked this place because it was more affordable than other rentals of similar size in the area.

Easy check in process and clean unit. Favorite part was the beach! Chairs and umbrellas provided with plenty of space, not over crowded. Will definitely be back!

I thought the condo was really great. The neighborhood’s were quiet and the location was central to all our adventures. The only issue was that the master bedroom was too hot. I would suggest putting a portable fan in the master!

Simple is good
Best feature is the private beach access. Kayak parking, a helper on the beach and chairs and umbrella. Nice! Second is the deck on the main floor. Up high with tree view. Condo fills the bill although a bit cramped in bedrooms, baths and kitchen.

Dollar Point Tahoe Stay
Had a great stay and we're grateful to have had a last minute booking!
We actually left a day early due to our Kiddo not feeling well.
Was a little unclear how the pool situation works out, but we had a fine time without it.
Honestly, I was busy working the Spartan Event so we didn't really stay at the home much.
We enjoyed our walks. We enjoyed the beach, we enjoyed everything.

Loved our stay
Great unit and great location. Super clean unit, well stocked and great layout. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kiddos. Quick stroll to the private beach, lots of chairs and umbrellas. Pool was lovely and heated! Highly recommend this unit !

Listing was not as described. Not lakefront, but a long waaaay up the hill. Only lakeview from the condo is the top floor out a tiny spot of the master bedroom. The photo of the condo from the pier is not this unit. While the condo was sufficient for our needs, it needs updates. Couldn’t find the remote for the DVD or smart TV. WiFi was inconsistent. Floor plan was strange-3 floors with master and bath on top floor, main living and kitchen (no bath) on middle floor, and 2 bedrooms and a bath on the bottom floor. Strange to not have a bathroom on the main living level. Also, made us very uneasy being 2 floors away from our small kids, esp because there is a sliding door out one of the bottom bedrooms very easy for a child to open. Same with the front door, my 2 year old kept letting herself out. Needs a high deadbolt or something. Wouldn’t recommend for a family with small children. Wouldn’t recommend for a summer rental, if lake access and views are a necessity. Maybe would recommend for a very basic, modest winter condo.

Not what we expected
My family stayed for a week in this condo. It was sufficient for our needs but the advertising is misleading. It is not lakefront. The photo of the pier with the condos in the background is not of this unit. This condo is waaaay up the hill, rather inconvenient if you have small kids. The floor plan is odd—it’s 3 levels, the entrance is between the Bottom and middle floors. There is no bathroom on the main living level, so you have to go to either the first or 3rd floor to use a bathroom. The place is in need of updates. We could not find the remote for the DVD player and the one remote available did not work for the DVD or smart TV. There are stains on the carpet. It was a basic condo, sufficient for our needs but I would not book this property if you have small kids or if you are expecting lakefront. You can’t even see the lake from this condo except a tiny spot through the window of the top floor.
