Modest inn with very nice staff

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The facilities were modest, but clean.

The place is a bit far from the city center (around 3.5 km), but it did the job during the Takayama Spring festival.

The owner is very friendly and very helpful. I didn’t come by car and they offered me a lift to the station.

Large room with very comfy beds and a view in a very quiet and pretty location. Our host and hostess couldn’t do enough for us - they were very friendly, helpful and courteous, as were their two little boys. For anyone wanting a more personalized and authentic stay in Takayama than a modern hotel can provide, this is the place for you!

Fabulous

It has a rustic feel to it and there’s a small hot tub/onsen in the bathroom that’s quite relaxing.

It’s just a tad pricey given it’s location, which is about a 10 minute drive from Takyama City station.

Very comfortable rooms, clean facilities, friendly English speaking hosts, had a very enjoyable stay

Very comfortable bed, clean facilities, very awesome japanese style jacuzzi hot tub in each bathroom! Hosts are very kind and friendly, offered green tea, shuttle service to station, and also arranged taxi reservations! It's a very nice home stay feel, with the comforts of a guesthouse! Love the view from the room as well, a japanese country side feel! Highly recommend!

Location is a bit far from Takayama train station, so best to take a 15 min taxi, or local transportation.
