VACA-22-386 This ground level house with two master bedrooms and two full bathroom house is located in a quiet marathon neighborhood. It has an open floor plan with a large open kitchen, dining and living room perfect for entertaining overlooking the canal through six double-sliding doors to enjoy the scenery outside while sitting indoors. This serves as the perfect area for entertaining family and friends. There is a screen porch overlooking the canal that's great for sipping your morning coffee or for late night entertaining. The house has two master bedrooms with two queen size beds in each along with two full size newly remodeled bathrooms. WIth over 75 ft of dockage on a deep water canal, you have plenty of room to dock your boat, jetskis or kayaks, etc. Don't be surprised if you wake up to manatees in the canal, as they often visit. The canal is clean enough to even swim in it. But, there are nearby sandbars that within a short boat ride can be enjoyed. The newly remodeled pool overlooks the canal and tiki huts situated on the dock along with a BBQ grill and "fish cleaning" table great for entertaining outside and still keeping an eye on the kids swimming in the pool. Attention all Fishermen because our favorite feature is our "bragging post"!!! To hang your catch and pose for pictures. The house has a garage "No Parking Inside" but equipped with a bait freezer and commercial ice maker to fill up all your coolers every morning. Marathon is a major fishing destination with several charters departing from local marinas every morning so you don't have to bring your own boat to fish. You can also choose to rent one nearby and have it delivered to the house before you arrive. Bountiful reefs around marathon make it a popular fishing, diving, snorkeling and lobstering area. And you can choose to disconnect from the world and just enjoy doing nothing but sitting by the pool sipping your favorite drink.

This home was, if you can believe it, even better than the pictures! The layout was perfect and very spacious. The screened porch with ceiling fans was such a wonderful addition.
The outside area was like a resort!
My husband uses a wheelchair and was able to get out- doors and back in on his own which was a real ego booster.
Linda responded very quickly to any and all questions we had.
With all the high end appliances, it would have been helpful to have the manuals available.
The only suggestions we would make would be is to 1) add a fence on the far side of the house to secure the yard. This would be a plus for dog owners. And the second suggestion is to heat the pool. We were informed, before we contracted, that the pool was not heated. Most of the year it wouldn’t need to be, but it certainly needed to be this January!
This is the perfect vacation home for anyone, especially for
handicapped or families with children (no stairs!).
We have been renting in Marathon for many years and this home was our favorite!

I originally chose this house because it was all one floor and my husband cannot climb stairs. The owner was so accommodating for our special needs. The house was clean and welcoming. The big screen tv was wonderful. I am a caterer so I cooked almost all the meals when we were there and the high end Kitchen Aid appliances were wonderful. The owner answered my emails promptly. We will definitely stay there again.

We were excited when we saw the photos of this place, but when we got there we were blown out of our minds! The setup is perfect! Dock for your boat with cleaning station (and they had cleaning knives for you), tiki bar to sit back and enjoy a drink, pool is perfect to relax in any time of the day, a back porch that is screened with chairs and table to sit in relax in, and a sun deck between the patio and the dock to layout in the sun (or setup cornhole). That’s just the outside.
Inside it is very roomy and cozy, and they have everything you need, including a commercial ice maker and deep freezer!
Our group had a great time and this house provided the best venue for our gathering. Definitely will be back here!

This house is the best vacation we have ever taken. The pictures do not do this house justice. It was clean, spacious, and quiet. Anything you need is within 3 miles, and having the boat docked right outside was awesome. We will be staying here every time we go to the keys!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was wonderful and centrally located. We weren’t able to enjoy the pool, because the water was way too cold, so that was a bummer. We did get to see a manatee in the canal and an iguana visited us as well. Highly recommend this place!

This property is probably the only place I’ve stayed where I thought the reality was even better than the pictures. The house was roomy and comfortable and the entire property was beautiful and well thought out. The hosts thought of every convince from the ice maker and bait freezer to extra gas cans if you needed to get gas for the boat. The pool and grill area is perfect to kids to play and adults to relax. The location is quiet and private but convenient to stores and restaurants. My family of 3 generations ages 4 to 60 all had an absolutely wonderful time.

The property was exceptional from the street to the rubber rails on the sea wall. Not living in the area, it would have been helpful to know about the shallow water at the end of the waterway. Having an experienced captain with us it was not a problem. I know it is not the property owner responsibility to let renters know about shallow water but for novice boaters it really would have been helpful. That being said we had no problems and would like to return for another stay in the future.

Impeccably maintained water front home inside and out. Everything you need after a day of fishing or just relax around the very well thought out pool entertainment area. This will be one that i return to many times in the future. I highly recommend this vacation property and very much appreciate the host attention to detail and fantastic communication.

The pictures do not do this place justice!! We loved it here, and we truly hated to leave. If we ever travel back this way, this is exactly where we'll choose to stay. You will not be sorry you stayed here!

The house is spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. We saw manatees in the channel, the pool, ice maker, grill, and the beds were great. There were 8 of us, two families of four. It was a windy week, boating didn't really happen so we really enjoyed the house more than we planned and loved it. We hope to be back!

I hate to leave a positive review in fear we may never be able to stay here again! We had 8 people in all - 4 adults and 4 kids. It fit all of us comfortably. There was plenty of seating, inside and out. It is perfectly located to easily get to Islamorada or Key West. Pool was a hit! Ice maker was a hit as well! We brought our boat with us and had no issues tying up at the dock.

The house was perfect for our group. The guys enjoyed the shade of the Tiki Hut and the ladies and kids loved the pool. The channel and dock were perfect for fishing. We will definitely come again!!!!

But sadly, we're ethical people. This property was so much more than we expected from the posting and pictures. It provided the ambiance of a private home, which it is being used as well by the owners, which made it immediately comfortable. The location is in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to a canal with docking space and the outdoor spaces are as inviting as the home itself. Great bathrooms were much appreciated as were the range of kitchen appliances. And the beds were truly comfortable and supportive, something an older, beaten-up body definitely appreciates. As well, the owners were very responsive to communication whenever we had a question. Needless to say, we so hope to spend another month or more in this home.

We loved the clean house on the channel with a pool, parking, and 2 bedrm/2 bath. Open layout with lots of kitchen counter space and excellent range and oven/microwave. We saw 2 manatees in the channel and 2 iguanas during our stay. Was fabulous!

We are a family of four- 2 adults and 2 teens, and the house was more than comfortable for us. The pool and bar area are the perfect addition to the canal front view. Great location in Marathon, FL. We had a great time and will be back!

The house is perfect! Has two rooms with two queen beds. We went with my parents which dad is disabled and with my husband and three kids age 9, 5 and a baby that’s 9 months. We were so comfortable. It was so easy to take the boat out. We fished from the dock. They even had bait in the freezer to use and replace. This is a fishing and family paradise. I was able to work from home one day that was raining. Everything just worked out. I will friendly be staying here again. The host was super nice and responded very quickly.

Excellent accommodations. Spotlessly clean with an awesome keys fishing and marine life motif. Spacious kitchen dining and common area. Tiki bar barbecue and lighted pool with an tile mahi that changes color with the light.

Property was just as described, clean, spacious, and accommodating. For our trip weather wasn't great for boating so we ended up in the pool most days. Neighbor which appeared to be a contractor brought his dog to work everyday and the dog barked all day long. Confronted the neighbor 3 times, he was extremely rude. Lots of construction on the street = lots of noise. Beds were comfortable but firm. Kitchen had all the amenities and outdoor kitchen with grill was great. Find something to do away from the house, as the constant barking dog, construction noise, and unfriendly neighbor were a damper. Overall a great property with great water access.
