We and Kate have a wonderful cottage. Their hospitality and service were well above expectations. Their cottage was well equipped with anything we may have needed and they were a quick get away from anything else we inquired about. The property was beautifully taken care of and was a nice oasis to return to. We never wanted to leave but VT was calling us back. Would look forward to returning anytime!

This was the perfect place for a wedding weekend with some friends. Perfect location, close to the venue and also a short ride into downtown Newport! The property was beautiful and you could tel the home was freshly cleaned! Would love to come back and explore the area more.

Meticulous, spotless, welcoming, quiet, cozy, roomy, beautiful, restful....all this and more! Our stay for our 15th anniversary was memorable. Kate was the sweetest, most helpful host. A well-stocked, pretty kitchen, beautiful decor, restful atmosphere. A super-quick drive to Newport, but in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that's away from the hustle and bustle. We definitely hope to come back!

The accommodations were great! The cottage/apartment was very clean and had all the amenities one could need. The location was fantastic, I loved the quiet. You could see the water in the distance.

Great place to get away while still being close to the action in Newport
The property itself is gorgeous, with a fully apportioned kitchen, two well-sized bedrooms, and a lovely back patio. The hosts were wonderful and I would gladly book again anytime I'm in Newport!

Comfortable, cozy getaway
This is a great house near Newport and with amazing access to everything Middletown has to offer. We had a great stay and enjoyed the cleanliness, comfort and property. The only downside was that the outdoor shower was connected to another house on the property and not to this property. We would, and plan to, stay again in the future.

Perfect 3 night stay
We stayed at the cottage while we were in town celebrating our 20th anniversary and attending our daughter’s wedding in Newport. It was the perfect location, less than 15 minutes to Newport with beautiful scenery along the route (no highway travel needed between the two towns was a plus). The cottage was spotless, well decorated and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The grounds of the cottage were beautiful, sitting on the deck after a long day of running was totally relaxing. The beaches are a short drive away, getting up early to go to the beach to catch the sunrise was amazing. All in all a perfect choice for a get away. The hosts were super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

WOW!!! Such a lovely property!!
From start to finish, everything was easy! The hosts were delightful and responsive. The property was super clean and the decor was spot on! I loved being outside of downtown. We were considering staying at a place in the city center but worried about parking complications. So glad we chose the quiet space we did! Very close to apple farms and pumpkin farms. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this property again!

Perfect two bedroom just outside Newport RI
My younger daughter and I searched for the perfect place to stay to celebrate my older daughter’s birthday, This totally fit the bill and we were not disappointed at all. Great location, fabulous kitchen (we planned to do some family cooking) and Kate left us a bottle of wine and water and chocolates at our bedside. She was a fabulous host!

Wonderful Wedding Weekend
My husband and I met up with friends from far away for a wedding at Glen Manor. The Cottage was a wonderful place to came "home" when we needed a place to relax and recharge from all that the wedding weekend involved. If we ever make our way back to Rhode island, we will definitely be checking if The Cottage is available!

Parent’s Weekend Dream
Our son is a student at Salve Regina University and Parent’s Weekend is always a time when hotels are overpriced and overbooked. The Cottage was perfect! It is reasonably priced, homey and the perfect distance from Salve. It had every comfort we could have asked for. We will absolutely stay here again!

This is our second summer in The Cottage - Middletown is the most beautiful part of Rhode Island and The Cottage is a wonderful place to experience all it has to offer. Kate is a wonderful host and the property is impeccable. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Lovely Little Cottage
This property was a welcoming little gem in the middle of a lovely country setting. The cottage was impeccable and beautifully decorated. Special touches such as fresh flowers and a bottle of wine made us feel very welcome. The owner went beyond our expectations with every amenity available for a comfortable stay.
We were minutes to the beaches and Newport. I would not hesitate to come back to stay here again.

Peaceful Location Close to Newport
For us, this property truly was our home away from home. Spotless, modern, decorated in soft peaceful colors and comfortable in every way. We looked forward to pulling in the driveway after each day’s adventures. Location was away from the hustle bustle of the waterfront yet easy to access all of Newport’s venues. We are booking again in the fall.

Salve Regina Graduation
Amazing! Clean, new, well stocked. Kate and Ed are very friendly and run a beautiful property.. You can see the water thru the trees. the yard is gorgeous. We had a small dinner party for parents and sisters family. No registration or parking issues like Newport. We are trying to book our next summer vacation at this property. Thank you again. The area is gorgeous with beautiful scenery everywhere, berry farms and 10 min drive to the wedding venue we flew out for.

We loved staying at the cottage. It was so well appointed, comfortable, very clean and peaceful. The cottage is a couple of miles from downtown Newport but located in the beautiful countryside. It is very close to the beaches and downtown activities. Kate was a gem, and responded to all questions quickly and thoroughly. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful location in gorgeous Middletown.
We loved our stay in this beautifully designed home away from home. Kate’s attention to detail was so thoughtful - birthday cupcakes for my son waiting when we arrived! - and the Cottage is lovely. The modern kitchen and bath and beautiful beach home decor make for a perfect get-away location in beautiful Middletown, RI. Conveniently located to the beaches and also to the bustle of Newport. Highly recommended!

We just stayed at this wonderful property. The owners were wonderful and the accommodations were excellent! This beach house was in an excellent location - very near the beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would love to stay there again if we return to Rhode Island.

Great Place to Stay in Newport/Middletown Area
Just back from a terrific stay at Kate and Ed's place in Middletown. Clean, modern and everything one could need including helpful and gracious hosts. The indoor and outdoor spaces are very comfortable and quiet and the location is a short 5-7 minute ride to the beaches and 10 minutes to Thames street downtown Newport. All in all hard to do better than this.

Ideally quaint, cozy and convenient with the perfect hosts!
My family and I have just spent a very enjoyable week at this wonderful property and have nothing but good feedback combined with wonderful memories. The cottage is very well appointed, clean and private in an ideal location looking at the water and only a short ride to either the beaches or downtown Newport. We enjoyed hanging out at the cottage, in the gardens and walking around the local neighborhood which is very peaceful. Kate and Ed are the ideal hosts. They are very warm, welcoming, accommodating, responsive and insightful on everything that you need to enjoy your time at the cottage. We have a one year old and Kate was more than happy to help in providing a paddling pool for him to enjoy or a parasol to keep cool in the shade while on the beach. Ed even helped me carry out some repairs on my boat trailer which they happily accommodated on the driveway of the cottage. If you are looking for the perfect place to relax while being close enough to everything that Newport and the surrounding areas have to offer, look no further!

Cozy immaculate cottage
Wonderful cottage only 10 min from Newport. Beautifully decorated with modern kitchen. Nice deck off the back with privacy from the main house. Kate left so many thoughtful touches you don't usually see in a rental. Water & chocolate by each bed, a bottle of Prosecco in the frig and an Easter lily on the counter. Very cozy & comfy. We highly recommend this house and would absolutely rent it again.
