La amabilidad de los anfitriones. Cada día con buena cara, además de intentar hablar en español para sentirnos cómodos. Una de ellas, súper alegre, disfrazada en carnaval, con corazones en San Valentín... Sin duda, te hace estar muy a gusto en el alojamiento. El desayuno, espectacular. Te cocinan los huevos con bacon al momento, es muy variado, zumos, yogures, fruta, pan, croissant, jamón, queso, mantequilla, mermeladas, cereales, Nutella y un dulce diferente cada día. Tal vez algo más de chocolate estaría bien. Las vistas, preciosas. El aparcamiento, en la puerta. El baño, muy completo, con bastoncillos y con un secador normal, no como los pequeños de hotel que no secan. Jacuzzi en el exterior. Te reciben con vino y agua en la habitación. Además de tener cápsulas de café y cafetera en la habitación y hervidor de agua con bolsitas de té. Puedes usar la cocina y el salón si quieres. Rápida salida a las carreteras de la isla. Sin duda, repetiría y lo recomiendo a todo el mundo. ¡Muchísimas gracias por todo!

Las toallas eran pequeñas, no llegan para agarrar el pelo. Algunas tenían agujeros y descoloridas. El lavabo es altísimo, pero hay espejo completo en la habitación para maquillarte bien si eres bajita como yo. Si te gusta dormir, lleva tapones, a las 7 ya hay ruido y se oye todo, no están muy aisladas las habitaciones. La cama se hunde un poco. Pero nada que pueda disgustar. Todo muy bien.

An amazing place that makes us feel at home.

By far the best experience I've had on Booking! The rooms are cleaned very well every day, in fact, all the facilities. Varied breakfast and very good quality, we'll definitely miss Steven's eggs and bacon!! A very warm welcome from Luísa and Noélia, extremely friendly and helpful. The only bad thing was having to leave. Thank you very much, Steven, Luísa, and Noélia! We will definitely come back."

Great stay with an amazing ocean view from the balcony!

Luisa and Noelia were such nice hosts, always smiling and available to answer any questions you might have. The view of the ocean was amazing. The rooms were cleaned daily with towels being changed daily as well. Beach towels were provided which was great. The bottle of wine in the room was a nice touch.

More variety for breakfast, more veggies.

Really nice place to stay at with extremely nice host. Also jacuzzi was a great benefit. And tasty breakfasts :)

One thing could be better - more chests of drawers to store clothes at room. But owerall nothing negative.

I have travelled globally for 35 years and I am picky, and it was an honor to be Miguel's guest.

I loved everything about the breakfast. Pastries were fresh and I am unable to say where I have had better eggs and bacon... You can eat while enjoying panoramic view of the sea and landscape, but are smartly sheltered from wind and rain. Best of all Miguel very personally yet not intrusively goes from table to table with maps and advises about where and what you might look at. The guidance was flawless

Soundproofing wasn't great. Car parking is a bit of a walk away. Immediate area lacks charm.

Breakfast was great, with a great view, and amazing food, and the owners were always up for a nice chat and also very helpful with recommendations and advice. I think it was probably the best inn I ever stayed at and there is definitely no other place I would want to stay when I visit the Azores. In case you want to rent a car, ask the owners because they know a place that will deliver the car and paperwork straight to the inn. Taxi from and to the airport is also cheap and convenient. Pro tip: ask for the omelet for breakfast.

A piece of heaven on Earth

The moment I enetered the room was poor bliss. The ocean view. The comfy bed. The lush feeling. You have everything you need and more, including beach towels for your hot springs experience. If only everything in the world was as perfect as this place. And for a very affordable price, too. Absolutely recommend and hope to come back one day.

The guesthouse was in an amazing spot with a great view: It was cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was indeed exceptional and the staff was just amazing: friendly and always happy to help. The experience of the stay was incredible. I would for sure recommend staying in Garoupas Inn, especially if you’re travelling as a couple.

Wehad a wonderful stay at the Garoupas Inn

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Garoupas Inn on the beautiful island of Sao Miguel in the Azores. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the stunning views of the ocean from our room. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and well-maintained, and our room was comfortable and clean. But what really made our stay special was the warmth and kindness of the hotel owners. They were incredibly sweet and helpful, always happy to answer our questions and provide recommendations for things to do and see on the island. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning, which had a great variety of options to choose from. The hotel is also conveniently located, making it easy to explore all that Sao Miguel has to offer. Overall, I would highly recommend Garoupas Inn to anyone visiting the Azores. It's a wonderful hotel with beautiful views, comfortable rooms, and the most hospitable owners you could ask for.

Best place to stay in Sao Miguel - sea views, great location and amazing hosts!

Amazing place to stay in Sao Miguel - we cannot wait to go back and stay at Garoupas. The location of Sao Roque was perfect for us, right on the coast, with a beautiful sea view and just a short walk to some lovely beaches. It was only a 5 min drive (40 min walk) into the main city of Ponta Delgada so well connected but just enough outside that it was quieter. Having said that, there were some fantastic restaurants within walking distance and I am sure a few of the bars which we saw were closed (due to it being December - off-season) would be thriving in the summer. The room was fairly small and simple but lovely, had a nice bottle of wine waiting for us, a comfortable bed and a nice big shower. There was also regular cleaning throughout the stay. The real treat was the terrace with the most amazing view over the ocean! The breakfast was amazing - yogurts, fruit, ham, cheese, pastries, bread, fresh baked goods everyday and eggs and bacon if you want it. If you go there, request the peach cobbler! The best part about this place through are the hosts - they literally cannot do more to make you feel comfortable and help you explore the island. Make sure you have a sit down with Mike and a map, we discovered some real hidden gems thanks to him!

Everything was amazing! I would suggest getting the sea facing rooms to experience the real magic of this place!

If I get another chance to go there, I will ask for a room facing the beach side to rate it as 10!

The owners were spectacular, super helpful. The breakfast was also great, the space is well located and the cleanliness is also good.

We didn't really like the sound insulation - too much noise starting at 7 a.m. - not good for getting a good rest!

When you’re here, you’re family!

I stayed here with my cousin and we felt so at home! The staff make you feel like family and they go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. Mike made us delicious breakfast and called us taxis. It is a perfect place to just relax and meet some great people!

The jacuzzi was broken when we got there, but it was fixed the day we left. I just wish we could have used it.

During our stay (October 2022) the jacuzzi wasn’t working. We booked late and didn’t have an ocean view room, I think those rooms are nicer as you have a little balcony and don’t hear traffic sounds.
