We enjoyed have the cenote and restaurant right on the property. The cenote was beautiful and felt like we had the place to our selves in the morning. Our cabana felt secluded with little traffic from other guests going by. the restaurant served good food.
The pool was over 100 yards away from the main property and was surrounded by staff huts. One of the huts was located 1ft away and swarming with flies which would die in the pool. We had to clean the pool ourselves 2-3 times a day in order to swim bugfree. The opposite end had a 10+ bees swarming. The open Cabana by the pool had a fridge and bar but had staff owned items for brushing their teeth, eating or showering supplies. It felt like we were invading their space. The pool closes at 6 pm so no late night swims. there was no lights on the way back to our hut so had to use our phones to navigate down the trail.
The cabana floor and bathroom were dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned in multiple days. prior to our arrival. We were glad to have 3 fans, screened doors/windows, and a bug net since there was no AC. The shower water pressure was like a slow trickle. The shower head is electric in order to heat the water. It shocked us when touching the head to adjust the temperature. Exposed wires noted frequently. There was a makeshift extension cord by the bed at child height. I would never allow a child to stay there due to safety risk. We were given 2 towels and our linens were never changed during the four nights of our stay. Cabana included a coffee maker and mini fridge which we enjoyed, however, our 1 cup of coffee grounds that were provided quickly ran out. Although we were told they would provide us with more bottled water, coffee, towels, this was never done and we felt forgotten about. Their hospitality was lacking. One night the power went out due to a rain storm at 4:30 PM and did not turn on till 830PM. Their restaurant closes at 6PM so we went into town looking for a place for dinner but found that the entire town was also without power and no restaurants were open. When we returned, it appeared many locals were taking shelter in the restaurant though no food was being prepared.

Ik heb de volgende tekst al naar de eigenaar gestuurd, maar nog geen antwoord gekregen.
Hello,
We left one day earlier. We informed the manager at the location and he said that it was ok. We also informed booking.com.
The fact that we left earlier is that the equipment in the accommodation was poor and some defect. Also not clean. Also outside there was carbage. And the first day the shower did not work properly (see video); the second day there was no water at all. Besides: they were upgrading the swimming pool, so no swimming. And the food in the restaurant was bad. When ordering a red wine the waiter brought a brown ugly tasting glass of what should be wine. The ordered ceviche with shrimps: they delivered shrimps thawed from the freezer; very watery and no taste at all and tough.
Due to the amount of money we had to pay: that was the accommodation not worth.
Regards,
Ad Alders

Very remote sleeping in a cabin , beautiful Cenote.
Hot water problem in the shower. Internet not working, but that's ok for such a beautiful experience

The cabaña was spacious and comfortable. We took a scooter taxi to get there. The restaurant was lovely. Simón and other staff were friendly and helpful.
The grounds, cenote and additional facilities seem to be neglected, as though the owner has put it all on hold.

beautiful location
nothing to eat when I arrived. a sort of salad was rustled up. attendant guided me into a low wall when I parked! it was dark and late

There was nothing to like.
Upon the arrival we were informed that the place is fully booked even though we have already paid for the room via booking. The ladies at the reception were rude, didn't offer any help. Basically it was our problem that the money has been taken and the place "forgot" to take the offer out of the internet. If it wouldn't be for the taxi driver, we would be left with no place to stay in the middle of nowhere. Do not recommend.

great location just by the cenotes
hot water lasted only a few minutes, no bedsheet (only blanket), old towels, dirty locked toilet with dislocated seat, detached “loose” sink, …

You wake up and have 2 cenotes next to your cabin. One is underground, small but quiet. The other one is big and cleaned every morning, all to enjoy by yourself as there are only 3 cabins. The cabins belong to a cooperativa and are in the middle of the jungle. Some amateur travellers commented that the restaurant closes at 5pm but they don’t understand that in Mexico ‘la comida’ main meal of the day is between 2-5pm. Thw staff works there and go home after the cenotes and the restaurant closes to the public. The breakfast after the Cenote swim with refill coffee was great. There is a pool to take sun and chill with great wifi.
Yes the showers are electric and attached to the shower itself but survivable :)

It was located right on a cenote, which was cool. once we were able to find the property, our cabana and receive the lockbox code, it was a decent cabana
No water pressure (quite literally a trickle of cold water), hardly any hot water, ants got into the fridge (I guess it happens, it’s in the jungle), trash outside the windows. No spa, steam room and couldn’t find the pool- all advertised on this property

Great restaurant and super friendly staff.
heads up, wifi doesn’t reach the cabañas

The bed was comfortable, clean and there was AC which was good for the night. We did not have problems with mosquitos during the night.
The cenote was nice to have a bath in the morning.
Staff was friendly but keep in mind, they only speak spanish.
The cabana did not look at all like in the picture, very dark. The bathroom was very dirty. We showered with slippers. I cleaned the toilet with disinfection wipes which came back black. The electricity situation for the shower looked crazy and dangerous (cables hanging out of the shower head?!)...
All in all a disappointment which really was not worth the money.

-There was one member of the team , Simon, an older man who showed us our cabin, he spoke zero English and just kept talking in Spanish, but at least he wanted to help us.
-lot’s of cenotes close by
- there was no electricity or WiFi from 8 in the morning until 6pm in the evening. So there was no lights, no fridge, no hot water, no ventilation in the cabana and it was hot,…. the lights in the cave cenote were not working even after the electricity was back the next day, so we could not visit it. we tried it 3 times.
-it is not as the pictures show (cabana and pool)
-there was fungus in the coffeemaker
-because of the fungus and the electricity power-out, we asked for coffee in the restaurant of the hotel and they made us pay for it (we payed over 6 euro for watery desolve coffee)
-nobody of the staff spoke a word English, we had to Translate and organise everything by ourselves
-the restaurant of the hotel closes every night at 6:30pm and so do the other restaurants in Homún. This info was not stated in the hotel info, only shown in other comments on Booking, which we read when already there.
-only WiFi in the restaurant , not in cabana , during power-out (which was only on the hotelsite) no WiFi on entire site.

The restaurant offered reasonable food at reasonable prices. One of the cenotes on the property is good for a cooling swim.
The check-in staff showed no interest at all. The cenotes are listed as private but are open to the public. One of the 2 cenotes is down a ladder into a "mineshaft" and barely able to squeeze 4 people into the water.
The cabins are tired and dusty. One cabin had no aircon while the second lost power during the night and the aircon stopped.
We explored the property and are still looking for a swimming pool!
The property is nowhere near as good as the photos or description, and definitely not worth the price.

We really enjoyed our one night stay here, our cabin had a very large bed and bathroom. The breakfast at the location is good and the cenotes on the property are very pretty. It's also a good base to explore other cenotes. We decided to walk and follow the anillo de cenotes (about 1km from the property), and went to about 5 cenotes in 3 hours, all slightly different. Like other comments say, it is hard to get dinner as they close at 6:30, we could only find one restaurant in the city center that was average, next to Farmacias Iza, but you can also order food to the hotel.

Location is ok
staff is friendly
all electrical installation is life threatening. there is plenty of electricity uninsulated and close to water. getting electrocuted in the shower is a huge hazard . the electric shower head is malfunctioning and electrocuting when you take a shower.
Moskito net over the bed only had 3 closed sides(??)
lots of trash and garbage lying around everywhere.

Room was very comfortable, staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the cenotes there were gorgeous, and it was close to a trail that had 6 cenotes (three hours walking to do all.of them, or you can take the car). Food at the restaurant was good. No alcohol served, but that was ok.
The restaurant opened late for breakfast and closed early for dinner, which meant you either needed to eat before 6h30 in the eve or go into town, and we didn't find a lot of options there.

Amazing place with two cenotes to enjoy. Higly recommended. The village of Homun is also very authentic.

It is an all inclusive cenotes and pool stay.

I like one of the 2 wells in the property. I like breakfast.
Hot water was not working (it was fixed 24 hrs later). Toilet was not working properly. Restaurant menu, short and ran out of some dishes, and closed by 6:30 pm. Nothing was working or open after 6:30 pm. Room has no space to accommodate your clothes.

Cabanas in the jungle, great restaurant, friendly staff, two cenotes (swim holes) on site, I recommend as a place to stay in Homun. There are also paths through the jungle to explore, zip lines at the back and even a sweat lodge.

Great location for camping mentality. Cabin was comfortable, but rude. No chairs, but couple folding flat small chairs not well fit for larger people; lighting was limited. Great for younger generation that likes camping with a lot more comfort. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Food was good.
Small chairs and limited comfort for older or larger individuals. Recommend that they add chairs outside in porch area v. small trunks for sitting enjoying nature. Also, adding a little larger chairs for larger foreigners. Natives are normally smaller in size.

Loved everything about these little cabins. Completely submerged in nature and away from all noise other than singing birds. Seems very ecological. That being said, do not except any kind of luxuries and do expect maybe some insects in the room (nothing crazy) as they are part of nature. All amenities at these are luxuries considering the area. Only a fan in the room and no AC which we didn’t mind as it got a bit cool at night. A small fridge and coffee maker in the room was a nice addition. Wifi worked better by the restaurant/dining area. My friends and I were allowed to seat in the dining area at night to play cards. Everyone was very nice. 2 cenotes in the property. And many many more around the area. Everyone loved this place.
