About this condo rental
This unit was totally renovated in 2018! A wonderful ground floor, end unit condo that has the best of both worlds with the Crystal River out your front door and a short walk to the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan just out the back door. The Sleeping Bear Dunes and Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail are a very short distance away and there are bike and kayak rentals nearby. You can easily walk to downtown Glen Arbor, rent boats to enjoy the Glen Lake area or kayaks for the river, enjoy many of the wonderful restaurants and shops or take Wine Tours of the Leelanau Peninsula. This area is a wonderful spot to enjoy the serenity of the Northern Michigan woods and you can also be in Traverse City within one half hour to take advantage of all that is offered there. We have a fully stocked kitchen and laundry room and provide all the linens that you will need to enjoy your stay. This location is a perfect weekend getaway for only two and we'll even discount the cleaning fee if you only use the main floor! It is very private overlooking the river and the woods beyond. You can hike from here, be on the beach on Lake Michigan in under five minutes or just enjoy the peace and quiet on the deck! ***We do only take full weekly rentals in the peak summer season from Saturday to Saturday starting 6/25/22.

We had a great stay at this condo - it’s very nicely updated, very spacious and in a great location! We liked being on the river and the very quiet setting, with just a short walk to the beach and an easy bike ride into town. This is a great spot at the Homestead!

The property was newly renovated and had great furnishings. It was very clean and we enjoyed our stay there very much. The accessibility to the loft containing the 2 sets of bunk beds was challenging though and in addition, the wall opening on one side was a safety concern for younger children. For older children it was fine. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to stay there again. The access to the Crystal River is perfect and we enjoyed tubing it.

We enjoyed our stay at Wilderness 35! It’s location is great, right next to the Crystal River. We caught lots of fish and also enjoyed the beach. It is conveniently located near Glen Arbor, so it’s easy access to restaurants and the grocery store. Would definitely come back!

We love Glen Arbor and were excited to show it to our friends and family in the winter! The condo offered a great location and peaceful location in the woods along the Crystal. Clean and comfortable, sleeping situation worked out well for two families.

The condo was very clean and comfortable! There was adequate linens for all and the washer and dryer was a life saver for lots of swimming and outdoor play with little children. The loft ladder room was used by a four year old with supervision. The beds were comfortable and the updated bathrooms were very nice and clean. The kitchen was well stocked for making many of our meals. Right off the back porch we put our kayaks in the crystal river and made our way out to Lake Michigan with a few trees to duck under. There was also a walking trail, also off the back deck, along the river that hooked up with other trails throughout the Homestead resort.

We rented this condo for a long New Year's weekend for me, my husband and our 4 adult children. It's in a great private location, newly remodeled and very clean. We could see the river out back and it was a short walk to the beautiful beach/lake (even in the winter, it was beautiful). The property manager was awesome to deal with and gave us a lot of good places to eat/visit in Glen Arbor and Traverse City (about 40 min away). Note that the bunk beds are on a 3rd floor loft and the only way to access them is to climb a ladder. It worked for my son but not us older folks. :-) Make sure you get accurate directions - it is a little confusing to find. Overall, it worked well for us and would be a great place to stay in the summer too!

The property had very nice furnishings and was in a great setting. Also, very clean. We would go back and stay in the same unit in a heartbeat. I guess the only thing I would say is they need to replace or maybe clean the coffee maker...it runs very slowly

We stayed here for my daughter’s wedding at The Homestead. Beautifully remodeled and very clean. We enjoyed the river out back and seen several nice size salmon. The guys were bummed they didn’t bring fishing gear. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.

The only thing that I would suggest is more accurate directions to the condo, it took us a little effort to find the place.

Condo was very nice, everything that we expected. We did have difficulty with internet and cable, which was resolved after significant effort. Would highly recommend to other potential renters.

We had a very nice stay and would recommend this property. At first the location can be a bit of a maze, but there is a nice walking path to a great beach that felt private and you have the river right out back. Very short drive to town and main area of the homestead.
The unit looks recently remodeled and done very well. High end bathrooms and finishes.
We locked ourselves our almost immediately at the proper managers quickly rescued us and were very friendly.
Great stay and hope to come back in the future!

This condo was updated and clean - perfect for our weekend needs. Excellent communication with the host. As previously reviewed, coffee pot could use an upgrade and an extra hour for check-out would have been appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is beautifully renovated and very clean. So close to everything in Glen Arbor and the grounds around the townhome are beautiful. Wonderful place for bike rides and walks. Would stay here again. Our kids and family loved it!

Back of the house has water flowing and filled with trees - very quite and scenic. Location to nearby town is short distance. Seem newly renovated, everything in house is updated - clean and comfortable. I must point out attic bedroom access using narrow steep ladder would be inconvenient for family with small children.

We had a group of 7 adults and this property was excellent! Very clean, nice finishes and appliances. Only complaint was that the coffee pot brewed very slow. Would be nice to check out at 11am too - many places don’t open for brunch until 11am, so we were a little early to get something. Thank you!

Loved the place and the owners were amazing with communication. It’s so peaceful by the river. It was very clean and comfortable. Showers were amazing. Will definitely stay there again in the future. It was also a short walk to Lake Michigan and to town. The only thing I did not like was that the bunk beds were in the very top loft which requires a ladder to get up to. We did not use that space, but for the 5 of us that stayed there we had enough beds to accommodate us. Had a great time staying there.

Truly enjoyed ourselves. The house was clean and welcoming. Our kids (6&9) really loved climbing the ladder to stay in the loft. Loved the whole community and is so close to the beach. Only thing I would recommend is fixing the door to the second level living room so it shuts completely (especially if someone is sleeping in that room) other than that would still give 10/10 stars. Will definitely be coming back in the future!!

Property is very open and enjoyable. Updates are wonderful and all appliances and cookware are perfect. Bedding is great with extra supplies in closets. View of water behind house and short walk was very calming for my relaxing weekend. Working with property manager Sue was a dream! She is wonderful! The condo had everything that we need and then some. Well stocked kitchen that made making meals easy and lots of linens. The unit was very cozy and comfortable. The loft living room was a perfect spot for the kids to play and watch a movie. The Ladder up to the bunk beds took some practice for the kids but they eventually became pros at it. Great location looking at the river and close to downtown Glen Arbor as well the The Home Stead. We look forward to staying again. Sue was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful.

This rental was very accommodating for our family of 9 adults. It has a fully stocked kitchen and plenty supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. It was colder and rained a lot while we were there. Otherwise we would have enjoyed the backyard a little more with the beautiful view of the river. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back again!

Nice location in Glen Arbor. Beautiful condo, grandkids loved the 3rd bonus bedroom with bunk beds! Very comfortable and clean unit! Very close to everything you are planning to do!

we felt right at home as soon as we settled into the condo for the week. The first floor was spacious and easy for four to navigate. We sent the kids up to the second floor and loft. The teenagers loved having their own space when we had down time. We cooked all but two meals for the week at the condo and I was able to find all I needed for meal preparation. The grill was a bit flimsy, but there were grill tools and my husband grilled burgers and chicken on it. The bathrooms were new and the beds very comfortable. The large capacity washer and dryer were wonderful to have after the outdoor activities for our dirty clothes!Sue was responsive and patient with my trip preparation questions. I would rent this condo again in the future and recommend it for others to enjoy. Thanks Sue!
