We enjoyed our stay at Bluewater Cottage, the house was clean with lots of space and it was only a short walk into town or the beach.

The location was good,we were just about in the heart of town so everything was within walking distance but that's about the only good thing. We left 3 days early because the house was just terrible. There was mold in the ensuite bathroom, especially on the blinds, none of the doors closed properly-we propped one set of wardrobe doors shut with our portacot but the other set was just left semi shut, the front door scrapes on the floor and needs to be held with one hand while locking with the other, the security door wouldn't even lock for us.There is only enough parking for 1 car because as soon as you drive any further down the driveway, you can't get out. The dividing fences are waist high so there is NO privacy in the backyard. The "fully stocked kitchen" only had two small sauce pans, one fry pan and one wok (nothing had matching lids at all!),the temp markers on the oven have worn off so take an oven thermometer if you choose to stay there. The fridge is so old and dated that when you open the doors they drop and feel like they're gonna fall off,not to mention the fridge was set so low in temp that it froze most of our groceries. The plates and bowls are badly chipped and were not cleaned properly,we ended up cleaning two plates and just used them for the entire stay. I get that the house is advertised as dog friendly but the furniture is absolutely trashed. We also had someone running across the deck in the middle of the night.

We had a great few days at the cottage, such a good location for morning coffee runs, strolling to shops and beach.

Could not open front door,
Kitchen cupboards smell like mice have been in there needs a bit of a freshen up.
Comfortable and location great.

The property was as described although a little tired.
We had great difficulty unlocking the front door which has been reported in previous reviews. It was jammed and the lock did not appear to be working properly.
Location was very convenient - very close to town - although the traffic noise from the highway was not great.
The stove and the taps in the bathroom need attention or ideally, replacing.

The location is brilliant being right next to the main shopping area. Plenty of room in the house with a comfy beds and lounges. You could fill all 8 beds with guests and not feel crowded. Front verandah is perfect place to relax, read a book on the couch and watch the wild pigeons and rabbits in the garden. The back patio and bbq area is massive and well setup for an Australian holiday life. My wife and I felt at home at Bluewater Cottage making it a lovely Dundborough holiday.

We loved the house and location. The garden is lovely and was great to be able to bring our dog. The fire was a big plus also. Location perfect as walking distance to town. Highly recommend this property. It is an older property with a rustic charm but we loved that. Very enjoyable weekend and would happily stay there again.

We had a family holiday at the blue water cottage
Lovely spot very close to the shops, beach and restaurants.
It was also right on the doorstep to all the wineries in the region.
The house was well equipped with cooking utensils.
We had 6 adults, 2 kids and a dog and there was plenty of space for everyone.

We enjoyed our stay and the house suited our family (3 grand parents, adult couple and 3yo) well. The amenities were as described and we were able to easily get linen from the local dry cleaners nearby. There is plenty of room for a big family (or two families!) and nice touches to improve the stay such as a welcome bottle of wine, a big toy box and the swing on the patio . We'd happily stay again!

Fabulous location walking distance to town centre and the beach.

The location of this property is the only positive.
Broken front flywire door, doesn't latch.
One ceiling fan doesn't work.
No air-conditioning ANYWHERE on the property (this should be a criminal offense, you should be ashamed to think this is acceptable in Australia).
Four bedrooms and only 2 portable fans.
Give this place a miss until they fix the above.

Had a wonderful stay in this spacious and homely accommodation! Such a quick walk to Dunsborough town centre and the beach. Lovely and quiet street and very relaxing to sit on the back verandah and chill. Didn't want our stay to end!!

Fantastic location. Great for dogs fully enclosed yard. Had a wonderful whale watching tour and everything is on your doorstop, perfect.

Unfortunately getting inside was an issue. The front door was stuck and it took quite a bit of time and manipulation to get it open. The cottage itself was set up well for a larger family with kids. The toys and games were a great touch.
The room sizes were also great. The lounge room was nice and cosy. There was plenty of cooking and eating utensils too.
The backyard was ok, but larger trees and shrubs along the fence lines and privacy screening on both sides would be advisable, as the neighbours are invasive. It was quite uncomfortable knowing that someone was there potentially listening to all our conversations, it was very hard to relax and enjoy being there. It was very off putting.

This was our second time staying at Bluewater cottage and we loved it. In addition to being very reasonably priced, it is also a beautiful place to stay. We loved the wood fireplace, main bedroom at the opposite end of the house from the other bedrooms, and bottle of wine on arrival. And our kids were fighting over the cute swing on the back deck ;) The owners are also lovely people and available to answer any questions. This surely won't be the last time we stay!
