About this condo rental
Located 35 feet from the surf, my Poipu condo is one of the best places to stay on the Island of Kauai. It has the best close up ocean views on the entire Island. Miles of beautiful coastline, crashing waves, breaching whales, sea turtles, great surfing action, and romantic tropical sunsets can all be seen while relaxing in my oceanfront condo in Poipu Beach. Completely renovated, my air conditioned Kauai condo has woven bamboo flooring, new tropical living room furniture, new patio dining furniture on the lanai, new art work, Tommy Bahama pillow top beds, Tommy Bahama dressers & night stands, new ceiling fans, a new 55-inch high definition flat panel smart television, new plantation style louvered teak doors, new crown molding/wainscoting, new stereo system, CD/DVD player, fresh paint, and much much more. High speed cable & wireless Internet are included. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need. The counter tops are new Golden Crystal granite slabs and backsplash. The cabinets are solid oak. The appliances are top of the line Kitchen Aid stainless steel, featuring a convection oven. If you plan to surf, boogie board, scuba dive, or snorkel during your vacation, you can't find a better place to stay in Kauai. Vacationers can surf, snorkel, boogie board, scuba dive, and even fish directly out our back door. Boogie boards, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas, and beach towels are provided in the unit. There are also binoculars for viewing the whales, turtles and Hawaiian monk seals. The trade winds on Kauai blow directly into the bedrooms and living room. Sleeping is a breeze. When the weather gets warm, not many condos in Kauai stay as cool as my condo in Poipu. In addition, there is air conditioning in the condo if you find it too warm. My condo is one of only two ground floor corner units at Kuhio Shores. The corner units have an extra window that creates a much more panoramic ocean view than the views of the non-corner units. The extra window also makes the condo feel much larger and allows for more air flow. And you can watch the sunsets through this window while sitting in the condo. Between my condo and the ocean is a beautiful manicured lawn that's perfect for kids. The lawn area feels like it's your own private back yard. It's great. Having the best ocean view on the island, and with swimming, snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, and scuba diving right out my back door, my condo is, without a doubt, one of the best places to stay in Kauai. Great location, great condo, great communication and responsiveness. Bottle of champagne on arrival was a nice touch! Sunrise and sunsets from the lanai. Honu watching every morning, even saw a monk seal on the beach! Would return.

The location was outstanding. Right next to the crashing waves and great viewing point from which to watch the surfers. We saw many, many sea turtles in the water just beyond the rocks. Every day they were there. The sunrise and sunsets were fabulous. Our host was kind enough to provide us with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We were able to take it with us to the Beach House restaurant to have with our anniversary meal.

This was our first VRBO experience, we usually stay at the Hyatt Poipu but the rates were $1,000+, I found this unit on VRBO and the views had me sold immediately. They did not disappoint in fact the location and views cannot be topped, the surf was up so we had a fantastic vantage point to great surfing and in October the sunset is visible here, unreal every night. As a bonus the Beach House restaurant is next door. The unit itself had everything you need and for me who runs hot, the AC was cold, our next stop had a terrible AC setup. The whole experience was exceptional, hope to stay here again for sure.

The location of this property can’t be beat. Perfect views of both the sunrises and sunsets! Steps away from the water’s edge and views of the surfers almost all day long.
There isn’t a beach here but the view from the lanai is more than worth it.

What can I say? Zero complaints or issues! I would hope all my friends would stay here rather than any other condo on Kauai. Ron was very easy to communicate with. It was just an amazing place to stay! The sunset was right in front of our porch!!! It was stunning. Really just the perfect place to stay. Unfortunately no pool at the condo but a membership to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club came with the condo which was 1 mile from condo and it was an amazing club/gym with a beautiful pool and everything else that can come with an athletic club.
Just an amazing place we will have fond memories of forever

Beautiful home and best location. By chance we came across this location and found it to be everything the listing said, and more. This home will not disappoint, and we will be sure to return to the same home next time we're in Kauai.

Beautiful property! Great location and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. We had all we needed for the beach and Ron really has put thought into what you might need during your stay. We woke up every morning to watch the sunrise and saw turtles every day! Can’t wait to come back for another visit!

This condo was absolutely perfect! Ron was quick to respond to questions prior to our arrival and the condo was very clean and comfortable and had everything needed/could have wanted - the bottle of champs in the fridge was so thoughtful, too! We are already planning another trip back!

We have stayed in 118 twice now. Upon entering the condo we are struck by the beauty of the ocean right outside the doors. It is perfect. The snorkling is great and location allows for absolute relaxation.

Adequate fo four. Nice clean. But the location is the thing. About 20 yards of grass between you and the surf. On the same level. Restaurant around the corner.

Ron was the perfect host, quick to respond and answer any questions we had. The bottle of chilled Champane was very thoughtful welcome gift.The unit was very nice and well equipped. The furniture and beds were well maintained and comfortable. We've stayed at Kuhio Shores several times before and the complex has always been well maintained and clean. The views here are some of the best on the South shore. 10 steps from the ground floor lanai and your standing in front of the ocean. Lots of sea turtles, surfers and gorgeous sunsets every day. Can't wait to return, we would stay in this unit again without hesitation.

Location, location, location! We loved our visit to #118 in ocean front Kuhio Shores Condominiums (right next to Beach House Restaurant). Ground level unit with patio walks out to soft lawn and ocean front views- great for watching surfers and boogie boarders and taking in gorgeous sunsets. Plenty of beach equipment provided- 4 chairs & boogie boards, 3 size coolers, umbrella. One minute walk to Lawaii Beach for snorkeling, close drive to other best beaches in Poipu. Very responsive and friendly host. Our second trip to Kuhio Shores- we needed second bedroom this time. Would definitely stay here again! Mahalo

This is a very nice unit. It was very comfortable and clean. Our favorite part was the amazing view! We could sit out on the patio and enjoy the ocean view. The sunsets were stunning!

We stayed here with our 10 and 7-year-old boys over the New Year's holiday. It is a jaw-dropping view when you walk in and open the shades! The sliding glass door is literally yards away from the breaking ocean waves. The sound is soothing and the views are incredible. We were able to spot whales most days off the balcony. Ron had some champagne chilling in the fridge for us when we got there.
This time of year we could see the sunrise AND sunset from the balcony. Given the southern-facing view, it does get a bit hot on the back patio, so if you can bring some shade or put up an umbrella I would recommend that. Mornings and evenings, however, are lovely. The condo is within walking distance of the Beach House restaurant which was so-so. Very overpriced food and drinks for what you get, so I wouldn't use this as a reason to book here. Why pay that money when you can cook a fabulous dinner in his kitchen and enjoy your own cocktails and wine on the lanai.
There are tide pools and lava rocks for kids to climb on just off the grassy knoll. There are a couple of small beaches to walk to nearby. One in front of the beach house restaurant, and another called Baby beach, a quick 5-minute walk away.
This unit came stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, and coolers. There was a beach towel for each of us and a few random beach items in the closet, along with an ice pack for the coolers.
There are 4 coin-op laundry rooms on property, so make sure to stop by the store and grab detergent and quarters to wash clothes, beach towels, and kitchen towels.
We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Ron

Loved the location ! My toddler loves running out onto the grass on those early morning wakings.
It was a pretty quiet building which was nice, the restaurant beside ( the beach club ) was always wrapping events up at 9 pm which was very nice.
Two things that I very much didn’t like. The doors to bathroom, and bedrooms were open shutter style so you could hear everything happening in those said rooms. Not a plus if your travelling with any other guests.
Second , and my husband and I tried our best to see where this sound was coming from, but the air conditioner from the upstairs unit every 59 seconds would make a loud enough gurgle that cause us to have quite interrupted sleeps.
This sound only seem to come on during the night in our 6 night stay.
Other than those two things the suite was totally equipped with everything we needed and more! Sand play toys for baby, pack and play , board games, coffee maker, and lounge chairs.
Those were our most used !

This condo was fantastic. Great views of the ocean, decorated well; with things you cannot easily bring (beach chairs, bogie board, beach umbrellas). Loved it and highly recommend it.

Ron’s place is amazing with breathtaking views. The home is decorated beautifully and we enjoyed morning coffee and afternoons watching the surf on the manicured lawn and patio. It was a lovely stay. Ron was very helpful and I can’t say enough about how comfortable our stay was. Thanks again!

Amazing View
Our family really enjoyed our week stay at Ron's condo. The view was absolutely amazing, next door to the Beach House Restaurant. The condo was cleaned, fully stocked, and organized. We spent many hours on the patio enjoying the view and listening to the waves. Check-in was a breeze. Ron emailed us instructions, tips, suggestions prior to our trip.
