We rented the house for a week at the end of September. The tropical storm had just passed but the weather permitted us a few sunny beach days. The house was well decorated, clean, and a nice proximity to the beach. We had 6 adults and 2 children in the house comfortably. The steps were challenging after a long day but I guess all houses have the steps. We had a nice week.

When we first walked into this home we were so excited. Things started to unravel quickly. First, the bedding expense is crazy, especially with having to put it on yourself. Ours were not even left and had to call and get them. Thankfully we arrived before after hours. 2nd, the house was not cleaned and if it was, it was a really rushed job. We ended up cleaning the floors ourselves and cleaning the doorwall window so we could actually look out the window and see the ocean. I will say that once we reached out about the dirty home, a few broken items, the response time from the rental company was amazing! They seem to really care, but I wished they would have followed up as the week went along. We also had ants in the kitchen. Now, if you can get past all of that, the place itself is really nice. Spacious for all of us and the pool, hot tub, and hammock and all the extras, especially the outside shower are such a huge asset! We probably will not be back though.

This property was great for our family with six adults and three young children. The beach was just a five minute walk from the house and was never crowded. We loved coming back and hanging out by the pool or under the house in the shade. The property had plenty of beach chairs for our family. The living room and dining room area was spacious and the house was fully stocked and clean. Our only suggestion would be to add towel hooks on the back of the doors or in the bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again!

Nearly everything in the house is the cheapest version possible. Beds are hard, dressers are nearly falling apart, shower heads are below builder grade, appliances feel cheap.I had to fix the wiring on several tvs when I arrived in order to get the audio and video to work.Also the first night there, a cockroach walked over my wife's foot. Needless to say, we were not pleased.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property had everything we needed plus more. It is a very short walk to the beach.
The only thing i didnt like was being responible for sweeping all the floors.

Our rental was great. House could have been cleaned better. The floors were Sandy upon arrival. The beds were unmade which made us look at mattress and mattress cover which one bed was dirty. Besides that great house.

very nice house
was very nice house with pool... little hard to get to beach because of the sand being so high... but we managed.
we cleaned the shower curtain in master of black mold on bottom, but that and outside grill not being clean everything else was good..
we had problem with internet, password on fridge was right one..
the air conditioning was not working good. Its was 80 a few times in house...

The house is perfectly located right next to a beach where there are not many people on the beach, you have wonderful updated amenities throughout the house and there is a pool! We could not ask for a better home to spend our summer in and build memories with our family!

Great vacation home with a few caveats
Overall I would definitely recommend this place. We had a great time!!
Pros:
Great Location! Barely a few mins walk from the beach access. The section of the beach close to the house was also less crowded than other public access.
House comes with good amenities. Pool and Hot tub were great and well maintained.
Decent sized bedrooms with comfortable beds. 1 bedroom with bunk beds for kids. Large living room for indoor activities.
Very pleased with the communication. Had an issue with internet which was handled quickly. Would like to specifically thank Allison for her support.
Cons:
Would've liked basic necessities to be available. Linens are not provided, which I was only made aware of after booking the place. $199 to rent linens for a week is extremely expensive. We ended up bringing our own linens. Also, each restroom had only 1 roll of TP and no handwash/soap. Not a big deal or a deal-breaker but was kind of annoying and definitely something that should be mentioned in the Description of the listing.
Some counters were dusty and triggered my allergies. While it is understandable for a house near the beach, it could've been avoided
Bikes and beach gear look a bit worse for wear and may need replacing and bit of upkeep

It was great. Loved the house. Absolutely loved the pool area and area under the house to be able to catch that nice breeze coming from the ocean. The only negative experience was with the pool guy that came and was very rude to us. Management company was very nice when I called concerned. Great location (walk to beach) and pool/hot tub
We had a great experience and hope to go back next year! House is just few minute walk to the beach. It's important to be on THIS side of the highway. We didn't realize how lucky we were until we got there. There is a very busy road that is hard to even drive across, so I'm glad kids didn't have to walk/bike across it to get to beach. The pool and hot tub really made the trip. After a long day at the beach it was so nice and refreshing to be able to go back to the house to relax in the pool and hot tub. The outdoor cooking area downstairs is very cool with outdoor lighting and hammock. Easy to get to a few local supermarkets and fish shops. Surf board rental was easy and inexpensive right down the block. Rental company was great as well!

We were the first to rent this season (after the owners) per Carolina shores realty. Upon entry to the house the countertops and tables had handprints on them, food stuck on the bedroom door knob, dirty floors & flowers, dog poop in two places in The pool area in a “no pet allowed rental”and a sticky master bedroom floor - to find it filthy under the bed along with a yellow-filled Aquafina bottle. The realty company did send someone over to clean which was nice; however I had already spent the first night Clorox wiping down everything except the floors and under the bed. The director of housekeeping (Amanda) said she would follow up after her convo with her bosses / owner on what else could be done on top of the cleaning. She never returned my call. I had to call her, one associate said Amanda was there then came back and transferred me to Director of maintenance (Brittany). Brittany said Amanda was there but had to step out & that they sent someone to clean what else would I want. She was short and unhelpful. She told me she’d discuss and get back to me, to which Sue Ann (accounting, partner of the realty co. & VP) said they did everything they could by sending over the cleaning people and the owner said if that was enough I could pack up and leave and take a refund of the days to which we did!
You would think they (owner and realtor) Would want a clean rental place upon arrival or show more concern for the uncleanliness, & show some customer service to your renters above and beyond such an unclean rental.
We took the refund in days and left! Would not use this realtor again nor stay at this home.
The location was convenient to the beach, but overall experience with realtor, owner and home was below poor!

Beautiful house!! A little dirty, but beautiful. (found a fruit roll up with hair all over it) My daughters, their friends and I were down for a week and were harassed and bullied the entire time by the neighbors and management. Great girls, never caused any problems. Left the house cleaner than it was when getting there. Minded their own business. Tried to enjoy the pool, but neighbor came out and accused them of having a vehicle in his driveway (it wasn't theirs, never found out who it belonged too. Then they called and said the radio was too loud at 2:00 in the afternoon. Instead of asking them to simply turn it down, he called management. This was the same time they thought one of them parked their car in their driveway) On top of that, it wasn't even loud.** This was MONDAY of the vacation. Everyone was done and wanted go home after dealing with management They didn't even want to use the pool after that, which sucked because they aren't beach going girls. There were plenty other instances, but there isn't enough characters to go into all of it. My boss, who came down with us, wanted to rent this house as soon as she saw it, but because of neighbors and management, she changed her mine. I will not rent it again. It's a shame because it is a beautiful house. oh.......THE OUTDOOR SHOWER WAS AMAZING!!!! I STAYED I THERE A LONG TIME. If you rent this house, make sure you Don't use a radio, whisper if you are in the pool, don't make any loud splashes, or for that matter, don't splash as all. Make sure the door is closed as ALL TIMES. and Make sure all lights on the right side of the house are out by the time the sun goes down so nothing is shining in the house to the right (rolling my eyes) that clown also said they had a flood light shining in his house. Management came and said there isn't even a flood light on that side of the house. They did everything they could to make us miserable. I hope your vacation in this house is much better.

Loved the cottage however cleaning prior to our visit was less than adequate. Several lights did not work. Just needed new bulbs. Light in hot tub was never fixed which was noted by pool guy. Hall toilet had major flushing issues which were fixed. Dishes were put in cabinet with caked food (fried rice) on them. Grip bar in hall shower was pull out of wall and put back in so when used it gave away when my 76;year old father in law used it. Could have been a disaster to say the least. Maintenance came and removed it and filled the holes with caulk but left the tub with material in it. l. Same bathroom rug was filthy which had to be put in washer.
