Traveled to Bar Harbor with friends for the first time. The best part of the trip was this house, beautiful and perfect location. Enjoyed Bar Harbor, ate lots of good food (lobster), just a little crowded for me. I highly recommend this rental.

We were in town to explore Acadia Natl Park and also run the MDI races and this location was perfect. Close to town and also quiet and secluded in the trees. Everything we needed (and more) was at the house and our family of 6 slept comfortably in the 3 bedrooms.

The house was was an excellent value given its location and everything the house had to offer (space, comfort, amenities) at a reasonable price

The property was perfect for a visit to Acadia National Park. On a quiet street, but close enough to Bar Harbor downtown. Lovely house. Easy access to the park

The pictures for the property don’t really do it justice. A lovely property in a great location for exploring Acadia.
Great communication and some thoughtful touches made our stay superb. Thanks!

We LOVED our stay here and would definitely come back any time! Easy to walk or drive to town, and super close to a few different entrances into the park. The house is adorable, spacious, and was perfect for our small group of friends! The host was super responsive to a few questions we had, and we felt right at home.

If the Beds would have been better we wouldn’t have left! New couches, table & chairs, great outdoor area, and loved the kitchen. We had an amazing time exploring Acadia. This location was 10 minutes away from Acadia’s gate and Bar Harbor. Thanks for sharing your place with us. ❤️

We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay in Bar Harbor!! It was less than a mile from town and just a couple miles from Acadia. The house was beautiful and had all the amenities you could ask for. I would highly recommend 3 Strawberry Hill. The only downside was we didn’t stay long enough!

Easy, short walk into town, which is important as parking in town can be difficult. House was as advertised. Host was easy to deal with. House was clean but could use some updates. Overall, very good experience.

Short and sweet. Great place. Perfect for all (8) of us. This is the best equipped VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. Short walk to downtown and the tennis courts were right down the hill. I would highly recommend this place for a great vacation in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Property was a good size for 6 adults to stretch out. I even had another space to set up my computer. Nothing was lacking. Felt like home.
10 minute walk into Bar Harbor was perfect.

We absolutely loved our stay. The home was clean, cozy and met the needs of our diverse group of young boys. Plenty of cozy nooks for them without feeling far from family prep in the main room. The updated kitchen and appliances were much appreciated, as we enjoyed the games at the large kitchen table. A nice walk to Bar Harbor while giving us the quiet perks of being on the edge of town. Wonderful stay! Hosts were great communicators and all our needs were met. I hope to return in the not-so-distant future.

We loved this place for its comfort and ample space for our family to hang out and cook/eat meals. A really nice place to disconnect for a little but also walk into town. Perfect place for an Acadia/Bar Harbor vacation.

Probably the best rental spot we’ve ever had! About a five minute drive from downtown bar Harbor and 10-15 minutes to Acadia national Park. We were traveling with three adults and then infant and there was plenty of space for all. It was very helpful to have a travel crib at the house. Our hosts, Ben, and Joanne, we’re also very responsive. Terrific stay overall!

We LOVED staying at this house. There are gas fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom and faux fireplace heaters in the other bedrooms. It was a super convenient location. My bed (master) was comfortable. The house does back up to the water treatment center, but that didn't bother us. The only thing that did bother me was a bit of a musty odor (which may be partly due to the collection of old books?) but we solved that with a couple of candles. We just loved the house and would definitely recommend! Owners were very attentive. Excellent experience.

Lovely great room and kitchen worked well for 6 ( who stayed for a week) and up to 10 for a dinner. Located a few blocks from the noise and bustle, easy walk into town, and all we heard at our spot was the creek running over rocks. Washer and dryer much appreciated, excellent communication with hosts. Highly recommend!

The home is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Everything is in good working order, and the beds are comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit and BBQ on the patio for eating outside. The location allowed for walking to town. Ben was very responsive with questions. Highly recommended!

Everything was a breeze. The owners were extremely easy to communicate with. The house was on a quiet street, but close enough to walk to the Village Green to grab the bus. WiFi worked great, amenities perfect, it was nice to have a dryer (and washer) to use after a day out in the rain. We would stay there again.

We loved our visit to Maine! Strawberry Cottage was a great choice - in a quieter spot outside of town but in walking distance so we didn't need to drive into Bar Harbor. Ben was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions.

We are a family of four - mom, dad, and 2 adult children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is spacious, and with the exception of one bedroom, all on one floor, which worked very well for us. The little library room offered a special oasis in the house. The bedrooms are very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the deck and fire-pit area. The view of the trees from every room in the house was lovely. The view of the stars in the evening was spectacular! It was a pleasant walk into town, and we enjoyed being close enough to walk but not right in the heart of town. The house had everything we needed for this relaxing and enjoyable first-time visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia, and we would highly recommend it.

-Comfortably accommodated six people (two couples and two singles) space-wise.
-The lack of an air conditioner in the downstairs “Library” bedroom was mildly uncomfortable for the occupant as the weather was in the 80s and 90s during the stay.
-Plenty of linens available for all occupants (towels, wash rags, rugs), including heavier items for colder weather, to sit outside in the evening.
-Love the deck with a table, chairs, and grill to sit and relax. I even participated in a Zoom meeting one evening on the deck.
-Electrical switches were confusing regarding what control went to what item, i.e., overhead fan and light. However, we did okay and sometimes enjoyed the adventure.
-Kitchen was outfitted beyond my expectations—plenty of dishes, glasses, cookware, and utensils. Because we ate most of our meals (especially breakfast and dinner) at the house, we used practically everything furnished.
-We found out the hard way that the microwave and other appliances cannot be used simultaneously. It caused some concern the first morning when trying to make coffee and warm up breakfast in the microwave. Notified the owner and was remedied within hours. There are, however, multiple outlets that could be used.
-All occupants agreed that the dining room chairs were uncomfortable and difficult to maneuver. Maybe it is because there was no one under 50 in the group.
-The location is perfect – still within Bar Harbor but quietly away from the crowds. You can access downtown, Acadia National Park, and the harbor within minutes. Felt like we were in the middle of a forest with the deer and raccoons around.
-Strong recommendation: Arrive during daylight hours, or you may have difficulty finding the street and the house. We arrived after sunset, and it took us nearly an hour to see both in the dark. We took multiple trips up and down the road to find the house.
-They state that they provide “starter” packs of detergent, dish soap, and paper goods. What was supplied lasted the six of us for the entire stay of Saturday to Saturday.
-The trash disposal instructions are lengthy and confusing. We all wholly supported the environmental stewardship requested but wished that it had been a little easier to be compliant.
-I LOVED the washer and dryer with supplied detergent! After multiple hot days, being able to launder dirty and sweaty clothes was a luxury. My husband and I returned home with no dirty clothes except the ones we wore on the pl

Great stay in Bar Harbor!
Ben and Joan were great hosts. The house was spotless upon arrival and started us off on the right foot to enjoy a great week in Bar Harbor. Downtown is indeed walkable with a 4 and 8 yr old, taking about 10 minutes to reach CJ’s ice cream. The house and deck are partly shaded to allow enjoyable sitting and being on a hill allowed for a comforting breeze. Great location for getting on the park loop road and exploring Acadia. Would defiantly come again!

Lovely Home
Our family stayed at Strawberry Hill for two weeks at the end of summer. The house is very comfortable with a wooded setting and beautiful, large deck for enjoying the outdoors. The master bedroom feels you're in a tree house!! It's a quick walk to town for all that Bar Harbor offers. We also found hikes that we could take directly from the house. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. The owner was very responsive and easy to contact.

Secluded but Close to Everything
The property was very well maintained and large enough for my teenagers to both find their own space. We loved that we could walk to town for dinner or ice cream or drive into Acadia within minutes. We were able to cook several meals at the house including lobster in the big lobster pot on the back deck. Thank you, Ben and Joan, for providing such a charming place to plot, plan and recover from our Acadia adventures!

This was the perfect place to hold a long overdue family reunion. We gathered around the fire pit in the evening to share our hikes and catch up in general.
The location was very convenient to Acadia and a short walk to Bar Harbor. Everything in the house was clean and in good working order.
We would love to come back again.
