About this house rental
Nestled in Redding, this attractive house for R 5,510 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Our home sits on 5 acres in the City of Redding and has rustic charm. You will have lots of privacy, yet minutes from town. We are located approximately one mile from Bethel Church and Simpson College. There is a private gated parking area which has plenty of room for boats and large vehicles. We have a pool that was recently resurfaced in March 2022. It is located in the back yard with a large deck and patio. The property is fenced for livestock but not fenced for small animals. We do have a 10x10 shaded kennel for your convenience. Our property is easy access to Interstate-5 and Hwy 299 to travel to Lake Shasta and Whiskey Town Lake. We are approximately 5 to 7 minutes from The Sundial Bridge, Turtle Bay museum, and the Sacramento River Trail. Our home is great for families, couples, and business travelers. We do have video cameras that are located in the driveway and the carport.

The propery was beautiful! We saw deer in the field behind the house in the evenings. The pool was a blessing, even on some cooler summer days.
The house was exactly as expected. Our host was responsive to some minor issues and aware of things we hadn't noticed.

The house was OK for our family. Basic rustic facilities. The pool was not clean enough to use because of many bats and birds. We enjoyed the peacefull surrounding but from my comparative experience it was a little overpriced

Our host made everything easy for check in. We were even able to get in a couple hours early, which really helped because we were ready to relax after traveling.
The place is very clean and detailed very well . It is rustic in the sense that it reminds me of my grandparents place. A '60s or '70s country vibe with shabby chic updates. The exterior is cool Western ranch, Ghost Town . Just perfect for our family and two large dogs
Loved the jet bath tub. All the beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. Lots of room indoors and out, and secluded location without close neighbors. Too cold to use the swimming pool but maybe next time.

The house is a comfortable, cozy, welcoming place to enjoy family time. We spent time together both in the living room by the fire place and circled in the chairs on the patio by the pool. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner where all the necessary cookware and utensils were provided in the well-stocked kitchen. After a full day of eating, playing games, and watching football or soccer on TV, everyone slept soundly in the beds, which are comfortably made with cozy blankets.

Since I had been to Redding a few years before, I was looking for a place that allowed us to take our German Shepherd along with another family. The vast space for my dog to explore around the house as well as the pool were the main decision making points when we chose this great location ( and yes, the boys were in the pool with wet suits and neoprene socks to get into the water).
My husband is not much into exploring, so he enjoyed the quiet while everyone was out to explore nearby Whiskeytown NRA and Burney Falls. His only regret was not bringing his telescope, because the stars at night were beautiful to look at.
Ginger was very responsive for any questions and she figured out that there was a brief power outage in the neighborhood on the morning of the departure. The house stayed cozy warm the whole time thanks to gas heating.
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your charming and super unique home. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to return one day.

This property was a fun place to stay. The weather didn't cooperate and so we were a little chilly, but the beds were warm and comfortable and the hostess was very patient.

Property was easy to access. Kids loved the pool. I misread part about property being fenced in, that was my fault. Property has fence but it is open. We have a young dog who can't be trusted off leash. Enjoy treats from The Hearth just down the road. Yummy bread and pies.

We stayed here to come to Redding for my daughter’s baby shower and brought my 79 year old mother. My grandkids loved the pool! We sat outside most of the time just relaxing together. Great place!!! Highly recommend. The host is very kind and accommodating!

Five youth 3 under 7 and 2 with disabilities. This home was fantastic! The host gracious and helpful. The kitchen was the best set up yet. Lots of everything. Two of the littles learned to be happy and comfortable in the pool. 5 acres with no neighbors was ideal. We are already planning our next years visit! We loved everything about the home, pool, patio, kitchen rooms and our hosts Ginger and Randy.

Spacious rooms, air conditioning in every bedroom for cool nights sleep. Beds are comfy and master bedroom even has chess board/table that was well used by our family.
Kitchen is well stocked. Coffee pot stopped working on the 2nd day and we had a new one on our doorstep within an hour-thank you Ginger.
House has plenty of towels for showers and swimming.
Pool was the highlight for our grandkids.
We will return and thank you Ginger for responding quickly for everything, you rock!!

Awesome Hostpitality
We stayed for four nights and had a wonderful time. The house is quite charming with a nice pool to cool off after a long hike in Lassen and surrounding areas. The home is clean and well equipped for cooking.

A quick get away from the PNW clouds to the California sun!! The pool is beautiful (but unheated) and the home is well kept. Bedrooms are huge. Ginger was AMAZINGLY accommodating and GREAT at communicating.

Larger than expected with plenty of parking!
Needed a place to stay midway through a move with plenty of parking. The place was nice and clean, exactly as pictured, and was bigger than we expected from the pictures!

Very clean and lots of extras like board games and pool toys and bedroom air conditioner. The only think it was lacking was a handicapped ramp on any one of the four entrances due to my mother is elderly with a cane and had problems getting up the steps ? I read ground level and assumed it would be ok for her? We definitely enjoyed our weekend! Thanks for having us !

This ranch property had it all for our family!! From the beautiful yard and pool, wonderful antiques and memorabilia, well equipped kitchen, bath supplies, comfy beds , dog run and safe parking. Perfect!!
