About this house rental
Located in North Eleuthera, this charming house for R 29,317 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This high-end luxury home with separate guest cottage can be booked either as a 3-bed/3-bath (for up to 6 people) or 5-bed/5-bath rental (for parties of 10). The price quoted is for booking the main house only. If your party is more than 6 please ask for an updated quotation to include the guest cottage. The additional rental is $500/ night. We have a single rate only for Xmas/New Year. The guest cottage is never rented out separately. We do try to be flexible on our minimum stay settings so it is ALWAYS worth asking if we can accommodate. For check-in or check-out on a Sunday we add a $200 supplement. The main house has 3 king ensuite bedrooms. The guest cottage has 1 king ensuite and twin beds in the second ensuite bedroom. They are trundle beds so we do have 'extra' beds to accommodate 2 more, but recognise that space will be limited. Charter a course in the warm turquoise ocean waters to your own secure dock slip with direct private access to your property just 100' from the water's edge. Please ask about dockage fees if you are arriving by private boat. You will find the house comes equipped with AC, reverse osmosis water, generator, cable, wi-fi, maid service, and many other amenities. We also have a safe in every room. If it is your first time visiting Harbour Island please ask for a copy of our Little Gems about Harbour Island booklet which we can email to you in .pdf format. It has all sorts of useful snippets of information which can help with your holiday planning. The open plan arrangement with high spec kitchen, dining and sitting areas makes for a very, very social space. Beautiful outdoor spaces all add to the feeling of staying in a beautiful comfortable home with a real family feel about it. Built in 2007 the 10’ x 40’ windows provide a unique panoramic view over the bayside from every view point and the serpentine wrap-around pool provides a cool relief from the heat of the beach and an ideal retreat to watch some of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see. Pool can be heated on request for supplemental fee. Positioned almost at the water's edge, the property has its own private dock available to all our guests. A short 5-minute cart ride and you can be on the pink sands beach. Truly the best of both worlds ... Definitely worth high-lighting 2 must-haves! - Emergency power generator (power interruptions can be frequent) - Reverse Osmosis water purification The house and guest cottage also comes with high-speed WiFi, Cable TV and air-conditioning. Our internet package gives you 75 mb/s download speed and 15 mb/s upload speed which is good for Zoom and conference calling. For families with young children we have a cot, high chair and booster seat. The White House is an exceptional rental property and very popular, especially with families with children. The home's location was great - close to town, and having the dock was great. The floorpan was perfect for sharing special times with our family. Anita, the property manager, was so helpful and accessible. Shabba and Shalese were friendly and helpful also. Thank you.

This was our first visit to Harbour Island and the White House on Colebrook Road was amazing and perfect for our group of 10. It was such a short distance to everyplace on the island, the house and views were amazing, and access to the water taxi incredible. The house and pool were so perfect for our group of 6 adults, two twenty-somethings, and 2 little kids. We had plenty of space to spread out, enjoy the sun and the pool, swim off the dock, and access the beach via walking or golf cart. And only a 5 min walk to Cocoa Coffee. Anita was so responsive and helpful and we hope to return again soon. Thank you so much for a great stay!!!

We had a great stay at The White House. The location was perfect. House was clean and had everything we needed. Shabba the property manager was attentive and Shalese, the housekeeper kept everything up nicely.

Our stay at the White House could not have been better. We traveled with 5 adult couples, so the bedroom/bathroom setup was perfect. Shabba and Shalese did excellent job of keeping the house, pool and premises clean. Anita was very responsive and helpful during the booking process and in answering questions about the property and the island. The recommendations in the Arrival Information Pack provided by Anita were spot on (especially the boat charter with Ryan at Spanish Wells Fishing - the full day island tour with Ryan was amazing). The convenience of being dropped off and picked up at our own private dock was a huge added bonus. Prior to our trip, we were aware of the one or two negative reviews about the property, but the criticisms in those reviews were not experienced by us. When we return to Harbour Island, we would absolutely stay at the White House again...the entire trip was a 5 Star experience!

We really did enjoy the house and its proximity to to the dock for boat trips as well as its positioning to "town"/ restaurants (very close). The house was well equipped and the rooms were super clean! The driveway is large and can fit many golf carts if needed. The only downfall for us was that the pool was shaded all day and we wanted lots of sun. Great house and the property manager was FAB! --Sabra, West Palm Beach Florida

The property is great, but needs much attention. Everything needs to be groomed in the yard. Mosquitoes are a huge issue due to overgrowth. The house is another story. Everything is falling apart. We were told it will be totally renovated after our stay. It should not have been rented for the price we paid . The front door lock broke and we couldn’t get in after a day of fishing. We spent 1/2 our day trying to get someone to fix and we ended up finding a ladder and thankfully we left the upstairs sliding door open to get in. The caretaker was very nice, but he or anyone was not able to fix the door. We exited and entered via back door and could not lock the home. The property will be great when everything is completely renovated. Until then, you should not have charged a fee that represents a home in perfect condition because that is a false statement.

I have been to the island many times over the last 40 years. This house fit all our needs. Very lovely! We enjoyed the close to town and beach location, walking easily to both. The pool and poolside area was wonderful for our family of 20 something kids and parents for hanging out and even our remote work outs. The dock was a wonderful bonus for walking down for coffee and afternoon sunsets. We loved the house- high ceilings, very comfortable beds, open feeling, great wifi, and the housekeeping was great. This is a luxury house, and I would say to others that note not everything was spiffy perfection, up to date, I disagree, or at least, I would say, this is still a high quality abode. Definitely I would stay here again, it was great for family and friends.

We loved our stay at The White House! The location was perfect - walkable to most things, even shorter golf cart ride. Every room was comfortable for 5 couples. Pool and outdoor area were very relaxing. Very easy to coordinate with Shabba and Shaq from Conch and Coconut. Anita was very helpful while planning our trip. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Harbour Island!

Home is comfortable and in a good location. It was nice being able to walk down to the dock to watch the turtles swim in the morning. That being said, the house could use some updating. Bathrooms are outdated and there were lots of stains on the couch. Also, there are cameras both inside and outside of the home. That made us very uncomfortable and I’m sure it’s against VRBO policy.

My family arrived on December 24 to spend a week for Christmas and were incredibly disappointed in the condition of the house upon arrival. We have the same comments as Ino H who stayed in December. None of the items mentioned were resolved or replaced prior to our visit. In addition the hot water in the two bedroom cottage was not working for four days. Once it finally was repaired there was sewage that came up through the shower drain. It was pretty dirty upon arrival and smelled very strongly of mold/mildew. There was a large pile of trash and landscaping debris in front of the cottage at the entrance to the property- apparently this is the dumping grounds for all of the trash at the multi property development. Basics were missing- napkins in the kitchen, mismatched plates/cups/glasses/silverware. We had hired a private chef in island who said it was one of the most poorly equipped houses she had been into. The contact for the property was fairly responsive although not particularly helpful, citing the fact that Dec 24, 25, 26, and 27 in harbour island are all holidays. There was no housekeeping for more than half of the time we were there and the on site property manager seemed frustrated with ownership and not super interested in resolving any issues during our particular stay. Overall, the house was fine however there was significant deferred maintenance and below standard kitchen items. The owners response when we asked for maintenance was to refund a minimal amount for the lack of hot water in the cottage and tell us that if we were unhappy we could leave and be refunded. Extremely disappointing Christmas holiday and not the level of service or condition you expect for the premium price we paid. The pool and views are very nice and this house could be fantastic with the right level of attention and service.

We have stayed in many homes through out the years. This home has a nice layout and a bathroom in each room is a great benefit. All bedrooms and bedding were very comfortable. The house needs a lot of maintance such as updating the kitchen and its appliances (coffee pot base is rusted and slow due to its age. ).All sliding doors did not open smoothly and missing handles. The outdoor furniture is extremely low 6 inches from the ground making it difficult to get up. The views from the pool level and master bedroom are obstructed from the fully grown trees. Anita, the home host was very responsive in getting us golf carts and resolving the safe lockout situation upon our arrival.

The White House did not disappoint. My family stayed the week to celebrate our daughter's wedding. The house was a perfect retreat. So many positives - having the private dock was such a huge plus. Between the whole group, we ended up with a large volume of suitcases. The water taxi delivered us right to the dock, and with Shaba's help, the process of getting all of the bags inside was seamless. And the sunsets from the dock were spectacular! The outside patio and pool provided a nice down spot for catching up, reminiscing, and a little down time from the busy week. The guest house addition provided just the perfect amount of private bedrooms for the entire family. It was a huge bonus to have Shaba on hand whenever we needed his help as well as the welcomed cleaning service each morning to refresh and replenish. You cannot go wrong choosing this location for any event in this lovely beach location. It was a magical week.

We had an amazing time on our vacation, the White House was a perfect fit for what we needed. Shabba and the cleaning staff were available anytime we needed them.
We arrived prior to check in, but they took our belongings and stored them for us while we went to lunch and toured the island. The house was ready right on time, and they scheduled departure transportation for us from the dock.

My family of 5 with 3 teens loved staying at the White House in Harbour Island. While the feel of the island is rustic and laid back, this house is comfortable, clean and top notch. Our kids loved having a pool at the house. We walked down to the dock every night to watch the sunset and every morning to search for sea life. Everything on the island is easily accessible. The beds and furniture were comfortable. There were not any toiletries in the house, so bring or buy your own. We would 100% stay here again if we return to Harbour Island.

We had a wonderful week on Harbour Island to celebrate our daughter's upcoming high school graduation. The White House is just perfect. Gorgeous views, perfectly appointed bedrooms and living areas and a great outdoor space and pool were hard to leave yesterday! Everything worked, the house manager was extremely helpful and always available and our housekeeper was absolutely lovely. It was everything we were hoping to find for our trip to Harbour Island! When going, be sure to book your restaurant reservations and golf cart rental well in advance. I was slow this trip and it was a bit of a scramble!

A wonderful 2 and a half weeks. Staff is responsive and attentive. The house is better than advertised. If you have spent any time in the out-islands you know the build quality is typically...rustic. Not so the White House. Beautifully done house with a great pool(Heated optional...woot!) located in a gorgeous setting. All on the water with a dock that is perfect for sunset dock parties. Our only regret is we did not extend our stay!
