The location of the apartment was perfect, being only a short walk to the city center. The house was clean and comfortable and Gregor was a great host. He was quick to reply to questions and made sure we were comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gregor's Rose Cottage! It was a lovely place, just a short walk to the Ness River, and a short walk over the pedestrian bridge to the center of Inverness! Gregor was an amazing host who went out of his way to insure that we had a great time. He took us on a private tour of Culloden, and when our cab to the train station couldn't accommodate us, he immediately came to our rescue and got us to the train station in time for our train. I would absolutely rent from Gregor again!!

Gregor is a lovely host. Always available to answer questions and offer tours. He even gave us a ride to pick up the rental car and included a little drive to a beautiful beach. He provided a lot of suggestions and they did not disappoint since he is from the area. Rose Cottage is within walking distance to shops and restaurants which is convenient. The cottage was surprisingly quiet when the windows are closed. Great little backyard to sit and have coffee in the morning. Gregor provided breakfast (eggs, meat and milk) along with a bottle of wine in the fridge. Very appreciated!

This was a really nice place to stay, larger than we needed really for two. Much bigger than it looked online. It's really well located just a short walk from central Inverness in quite little neighborhood. ALDI is very close as are several restaurants and pubs. Best of all, the host is a REAL Scotsman, in upbringing and in spirit, a true Host. When he learned we were in Inverness as part of our 25th anniversary trip, he offered to arrange a bespoke e-bike for us down in one of the most beautifully scenic glens we have ever seen, in person or otherwise. It made our trip extra special.
Really top notch host, row house, and location. We just hope we get to go back someday.

Cottage is convenient to everything in downtown Inverness, and Gregor is a wonderful host. If we return to Scotland, this cottage will be our go to place to stay.
Cheers!!!

Rose Cottage is a wonderful nicely appointed home with all the necessities and Inverness is a beautiful welcoming small town city, quaint and lovely. Gregor is a fabulous host with great insider information on local restaurants, and fun things to do.

Great location! Loved having a washer and dryer and the clothes line outside! House was stocked with all we needed even some wine and cheese! Gregor was always very fast to respond to our questions. One thing that would be helpful though is written detailed instructions for all appliances. We struggled a bit with the washer, dryer, oven, stove and microwave. Eventually figured things out by trial and error. Wonderful stay overall!

Amazing! Gregor was responsive and very helpful with local information. The cottage is so pretty and close to everything in the city centre. Would highly recommend and hope to come back soon

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rose Cottage. Even though we were almost 45 minutes behind schedule Gregor was there to meet us and show us through the townhome. He pointed out the different functions and where we would find things. We chatted about restaurants, and about needing reservations. Turned out his reservation idea was important, since getting into restaurants was quite a struggle without.
Gregor was also very passionate about Scotland and told us about some areas to explore that most tourists would not know about. His knowledge of and appreciation for nature was impressive
The apartment was clean and spacious with a well appointed kitchen. There was one oddity, however, and that is that the main bedroom is on the first floor, and both bathrooms are on the second floor. Kind of weird, but it was not really a problem.
There is a full service grocery store and several very nice restaurants within a couple blocks of the home. While we had a car, it sat in front of the house for most of our three day visit. It is just not really needed. We were close enough to all the sites to walk to them, but the home is across the river from the main city, so it felt more like a normal local neighborhood.
We had an absolute blast in Inverness, and this townhome really helped make it special.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rose cottage. It was very convenient to the centre of town, having the parking permit was helpful, it was a pleasant to have the river so close and much larger on the inside than it looks. The garden was well manicured and a delightful space to spend time in both for morning yoga and evening drinks. The host is super friendly and we will definitely be renting from him again.

Perfect rental in Inverness
This is the perfect place to spend time in Inverness. Gregor is a wonderful host and his home is just perfect. Well appointed with anything you’d need and walking distance from everything in Inverness. Our family of four adults and one toddler loved it!

Excellent stay
A beautiful, cosy cottage with an ideal location. We had a fabulous time staying at Rose Cottage. It was dog friendly, had a comfy leather reclining sofa and a log burner.. all the things we were looking for in a Winter break. The cottage is tastefully designed and felt like home from home. The beauty of Glen Affric, Nairn, the Black Isle is a few minutes drive away and the cottage has everything that you would need, a supermarket 1 minutes walk away and an award winning bar/restaurant just round the corner on the River Ness. Everyone was so friendly and Gregor is a great host. Very responsive and full of local knowledge regarding where to go.
We loved our visit to Eden Court Theatre, a short and beautiful walk along the River Ness. Channory Point is close by so we had a wonderful walk to watch the dolphins and took a road trip to watch eagles (amazing) just outside Inverness. We did a forest walk, coastal walk and enjoyed the scenery driving West and North. Highly recommend the area, the cottage was superb and Gregor a great host for all his tips which greatly added to our short break to this wonderful part of the world. Definitely be back to Rose Cottage.

Brilliant - A home away from home
A beautiful cottage ideally situated by the River Ness next to the award winning Waterfront bar/restaurant. Loved the leather reclining sofa, sports and movie channels and the kids loved the French, German and Spanish channels as doing these languages at school. Immaculately clean and warm and a great host - endlessly helpful with advice on places to visit. Highly recommend

Superb as always
I've stayed here before and is my go to place in Inverness when visiting family. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, 55 inch Smart TV, cable TV, reclining leather sofa and chair, well equipped kitchen, and lovely enclosed back garden for the dog. So close to the supermarket and the award winning Waterfront Bar/Restaurant - food and atmosphere brilliant. Close to town centre and near the Claedonian canal and Ness Islands for beautiful walks - highly recommend.

First class
This is hands down one of the best VRBO homes we've stayed in and a whole lot of it is down to how warm and welcoming Gregor is. Gracious, kind and endearing helpful throughout our stay. He is super thoughtful, helpful and goes out of his way to make your stay in Inverness amazing. I can't recommend his place enough! I truly wish we had stayed here much longer than we ended up doing (for a whole bunch of reasons - 55 inch Smart TV with cable so all sports, movies, series, electric reclining leather sofas, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and ofcourse the location. Inverness is incredibly pretty, you can never spend enough time in the Highlands and also, this absolutely feels like home away from home. Two things are for sure - we will definitely come back to Inverness and we will stay at Gregor's place again without a second thought. :)

Could not have been more impressed with this rental .very homely very comfy lovely cottage and back garden .Gregory was very attentive as a host with plenty of local suggestions to enhance our trip .the location is perfect ,we did not have to fight for parking and were within very short walking distance from the centre of Inverness and 45 seconds from a super market .a huge plus is that the #1gastro pub in the north of Scotland is at the end of the street with views onto the river .5 stars and will return again .

Spacious central Inverness cottage
Gregor provided great communication, a generous welcome pack and helpful tips on exploring the area. The house proved spacious and comfortable for my Mum despite her mobility issues. The cottage is a short walk away from the town centre so highly convenient. We would recommend and would visit again.

Outstanding stay!
Gregor and Ann are helpful hosts with such grace and kindness. They have an abundance of local knowledge suggesting places of quality where locals would want to visit and eateries to dine and drink in.
The cottage is very-well situated in Inverness; it is by the river, very close to but not within the hustle and bustle of it all. The cottage has a working log fire, cozy rooms, immaculate bathroom and toilet but the standout is a wonderfully-stocked kitchen with all the essentials to include butteries and champagne!
Rose Cottage is within stumbling distance of establishments with expertly-prepared local seafood, steak and whiskey; not necessarily all in one! One must not forgot to mention the proximity of a large convenience store just across the road eg. for the odd fresh milk!
This was a truly memorable stay for comfort, and convenience; for all the simple pleasures in life one savours. Of course we will be returning.

Great place in a great little city
Everything about this place was 5 stars or better.
One of the most comfortable places we have stayed in and add to this very conveniently located for walking the river Ness to walking in old town. Many restaurants to pick from in a very short walking distance. Thank you Gregor for letting us stay in your great place. Hope to see you again.

Great location for Inverness
The property is in a great location with easy access to the shopping Main Street and local amenities. Cosy place with on street parking.
Having an elderly person in our party would have been ideal if the second small washroom was in the ground floor. Tidy enclosed garden.

Great location
This cottage is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from town and a few blocks from a grocery store.
Our favorite restaurants were The Water Front, Dennis’s Chinese and Zizzi’s (across the river).
The property owner was available when we had questions and was very helpful with suggestions on things to do.
The cottage is nice and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped.

Beautiful and more
Rose cottage is just a beautiful cottage ideally situated in the centre of Inverness right next to the River Ness, a supermarket and the Waterfront Bar/Restaurant. Its a beautiful walk into town down the river looking at the Churches and castle. It couldn't be more perfect and was ideal for all our needs. The Waterfront had live Scottish music and the food and ambience were brilliant. Gregor was a great host giving us great tips for places to visit and we didn't want to leave. Would highly recommend to other travellers.
