This was our second Fletcher hotel stay on our month long trip. The first Fletcher we stayed in was awful, so this one was really a pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic. Very family friendly and a great choice for us.

The breakfast was very nice.
I also appreciate that, when we decided to cut our stay short because our expectations were not being met, we received our money for the nights we cancelled back - even though the cancellation policy was clear that there were no refunds after checkin.
It's hard to believe that this is really a 4star hotel, it's old, badly maintained, and dirty. There are stains everywhere on the carpet in the hallway, the room itself has furniture that's falling apart, the bathroom was full of mold and dirt (dirt that has been there for so long, it can't really be cleaned any longer), the mattresses are super worn out and you can hear the springs when you move in the bed. There is no A/C, not even fans (we were there during a heatwave and the stuffyness of the room was unbearable), the walls are so thin you hear every movement/sentence from the neighbors and the hallway. It's not particularly family friendly either due to the small room size, the thin walls ... And, what surprised us the most, is that when we arrived on a Sat late afternoon, there were only 2 tiny handtowels in the room. We requested more towels and were told that the hotel had run out of towels - very inconvenient to say the least, esp. since we were traveling with our 1 year old.

staff friendly and service orientated
the room interiors are very old, and completely warn down, need serious renovation, including the beds

To go home
Worst food ever, rooms where so vintage in the wrong way.
The bathrooms where so terribly.
Tiles where dirty and sick unhygienic.
Curtains where old, windows unsave.
I refused to pay the food. Even the cafeteria would be better.

Hotel is decently located in the center of the Veluwe.
The hotel looks better on photos than in real life, as it is quite outdated, with worn out furniture and carpeting. Friendly staff however.

The property is ok, nothing spectaculair but didn’t spend much time in hotel so thats fine. The breakfast was awesome. The service was superb and the people very friendly.

The surrounding area is great. Towels and bed linen looked clean.
Paper thin walls, every fart and other sounds of nextdoor and people above you are noticeable. The whole hotel has this sewer smell, especially the bathroom. Maintenance has been overdue for at least 10 years. The paint on the bathroom ceiling and wall are flaking of. The double glazed windows are all leaking so you can barely look true them. The doors have severe wood rot. Basically it's a mess, how they got 4 stars I have no idea.

Breakfast was ok, Dutch standard. Bath tub was nice. Environment is great and excellent for hiking.
The room layout was a bit strange, the desk and cupboard corner did not feel that inviting

Nice buidling on a great location. Perfect for a short stay or a weekend. Waking up with the windows open (hearing the birds sing). Walking in one of the most beautiful parts of the 'Veluwe'. Start your walk early and you might spot some local wildlife. End your walk in Vierhouten, where you can enjoy a good meal or a cold drink. Pets are allowed and will be happy to accompany you on your walk.
We stayed during Corona-time. There were not many guests and the reastaurant was closed. That for sure was not a problem, but usualy the place is rather crowded, especialy at diner time.
