breakfast was great
Service was terrible. Reseptionist and the room was so disappointing.
I voiced my disappointment and the workers didn’t do anything to make my experience better or tried to fix things.

Excellent breakfast!
Good location.

The location is great, city church is two minutes away. We loved the breakfast and the place where it was served was like a dancing hall. Great choice of foods.
Room was comfortable with very soft beds. Staff was kind.
The parking garage could use a good sweeping.

Comfortable bed, good shower, amazing breakfast.
- The room was in need of a good deep cleaning: dusty lamps and dirty bathroom corners;
- In the evening my room had a faint smell of a frying pan, probably because the kitchen of the pub that's below the hotel was near the window of my room.

Elegant breakfast room, this is a hotel with a history. Classic building, in a smart part of the town.
Unfortunately, because of a national holiday, most of the town including bars and restaurants were closed., except for the hotel's own Bishops Arms "pub" with food, with a somewhat sterile atmosphere.

Great location in the city and the room was great!
Beautiful building and comfortable beds and nice room.

It is well located.
- peeling paint on the room door, inside,
- only one outlet works,
- the room door got locked from the outside and I had to call a maid,
- by 9:30 there were no more scrambled eggs and fried bacon for breakfast.

The property was ideally located in a prime spot, making it easy to access many of the city's top attractions. Additionally, the hotel itself was a historical building, which gave it a unique and charming character that I appreciated. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beautiful exterior of the hotel. The architecture was stunning, and the attention to detail was impressive. One of the things that really stood out to me was the attached Bishop's Bar. The bar had a great atmosphere, and it was a fantastic spot to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.
While there were some positive aspects of my stay, there were several significant issues that I feel I must share.
To begin with, the staff at the hotel was not that good - they were just okay. They were not particularly friendly or attentive, and I did not feel that they went out of their way to make me feel welcome or comfortable.
The breakfast that was provided was decent, but it could have been better. While there was a decent variety of options, the quality of the food was just average.
One of the biggest disappointments was the deluxe room that I had booked. The pictures shown during the booking process did not accurately represent the room that I was given. The room was not as spacious or as luxurious as it had appeared in the photos.
Furthermore, the room was not cleaned properly before my arrival. There were spider webs in the corners, and it was clear that the housekeeping staff had not paid close attention to the cleanliness of the room. Additionally, the hotel staff did not change the cups or provide coffee pouches during the cleaning process.
Given the price that was charged for the deluxe room, I felt that it was not worth it at all. I was very disappointed with my overall experience at this hotel, and I would not recommend it to others.

The breakfast spread was really great, thank you!
Also, the front desk worker (Robin) was really really nice and made each guest feel special as they checked in.
Nothing that I can think of.

Location, Staff, Breakfast
This was our second stay in the hotel. The second time we booked a deluxe room and were disappointed as the water pressure in the bath was very weak (really annoying) and the mattress way too soft.
At our first stay we didn’t have any of those issues, even with a cheaper room!

The breakfast was out of this world. Great choice, quality food and incredible breakfast room.
The room was perfect for our needs, and perfectly cleaned.
The position of the hotel is also great, surrounded by good restaurants and shopping areas, as well as a very close access to the (frozen) sea.
Nothing!

The room was too cold. the radiators in the room didnt seem to get warm. We did ask the reception to take a look. But there was no change.

The hotel is well located, very near the peer. Had the chance to admire the northern lights over the sea at night!
Room was good enough, comfortable bed and quite spacious. View over the park/city/church was nice in the morning!
Some technical issues in my room happened during my stay, but the staff reacted very well with a great kindness. Thank you.

This hotel is one of a kind, just beautiful, and clearly designed with guest comfort in mind. It has high ceilings, wide corridors, and comfortable places to sit. We ate our breakfast in a magnificent ballroom. Our room was lovely too. We had a view over the park, two arm chairs for sitting, plus a desk with chair. There was even a seat near the door where we could take off our shoes. The bathroom had plenty of room for our toiletry bags on a shelf under the sink. Breakfast was varied, with both hot and cold options. Some unexpected extras like stewed strawberries, were delicious. There were 2 different tables for breakfast cereals. Note: muesli was on the gluten free table (I didn't find this until the third day). Staff were polite and kind. It was one of the few hotels we've stayed, where staying longer would be delight.
There was only one thing that detracted from our stay at this delightful hotel. The eggs served at breakfast could be improved. There were grey patches in the scrambled eggs, even on one morning when we arrived at the earliest sitting. I understand that this happens when eggs have been sitting too long, and they are still okay to eat, but who wants to eat grey eggs. Not me. Instead I decided to try what I thought were soft boiled eggs one morning. Alas, the two I got were warm, but hard boiled.

The buffet breakfast and the location.
Staff were hit and miss. One was great and one was terrible, wouldn't let me have an hour late check out. I wish I remembered her name. The bed was quite soft and uncomfortable.

Good location, nice building
I missed breakfast the second morning because the information in my room was wrong. There are different times for weekdays and weekend. In the flyer in the room there was written the same time for every day. Also during checkin I was only told one time, not different times.
Nasty view from my window to the backside of other buildings

Not so many vegetarian options at breakfast. Protein was missing. Our room was separated from other room with the door. The soundproof was terrible. We did eaven hear the phone conversation from the other room.
