Nice place to stay & explore the area, The staff were friendly & attentive especially the breakfast waitress.

We didn't get to sample lunch or evening meal! But next time we stay we will leave time to eat in the restaurant.

Breakfast was very good. Staff helpful and friendly. Our requests for gluten free meals were well catered for. Location ideal with a nice walk along by the river.

We only had enough hot water for one shower in the mornings.

Nothing, everything was spot on.

We came for the 90th birthday celebration of our very dear friend and his family. The lunch provided was great, good choice on each course and the staff coped admirably to serve 25 of us. As we live a 7hr drive away we stayed on overnight relaxing in the beautiful room with cups of tea on hand. Breakfast the next morning was served by Sue, an excellent host, friendly and helpful she served us with a perfect breakfast. We hadn’t known what to expect of the Water Rat before we came but found it to be charming, comfortable and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

There was only one minor thing that could have been better and probably would not apply to many guests. As we had had a superb three course lunch we wanted only a sandwich or similar in the evening. However there was no option for this as sandwiches were only served at lunchtime. We had to wander into Ironbridge to find something lighter than what was on the menu.

Perfect location right on the River Seven in Ironbridge lovely little walk along the River through a park onto the high street of Ironbridge. Staff are very helpful and the breakfast was amazing service was excellent, we will definitely be booking again.

The room was beautiful, very clean and smart. Really large too Loved the room the breakfast and the dinner. The staff were all so lovely and friendly. will definately stay again if working in the area.

The room was clean and tidy with the bathroom up a further flight of stairs. Lots of parking onsite and close to the centre of Ironbridge

The room was very close to two other rooms and the walls were very thin so could hear everything in the other rooms. The doors also closed quite loudly. The shower took a long time to drain away but the bathroom was nice and clean otherwise. No options other than a full English offered at breakfast which was a bit heavy but tasty.
