Efficient little room!

Good location, fairly clean, enjoyed being on a floor high up.
Poorly designed room. Although it was a small space better design could have made it much more comfortable. Should not advertise that there is a balcony - you can step out of the unit but there is no room to sit, one person can barely stand.
4.0
The location is very central and the bed was comfortable.
The room was very small and there was construction work going in very early in the morning which was very noisy. Also though there are some hot plates there are no plates or knives and forks.

Great location.
It felt like a college dorm room mixed with a hospital room. There was no chair, side table. Ratty wall-to-wall rug. When it rained, it was like the roof was made of corrugated metal, how loud it was. In a way it was like a cheap white noise generator.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Particularly when people's cards would not work in the lifts or to open their doors.
The rooms did not look as good in real life as they did in the photos.

Friendly, accommodating staff.
Size, layout of the room, and common areas could be better through proper space planning. The building is very dated.

The Ibis Budget hotel is well situated for arriving and departing by Intercity bus.
The room is fine for one person but might be a bit cramped for two people.
Bed satisfactory.
If two people were occupying room you would need two chairs

Very good location with walking distance to Sky City Bus Terminal, Countdown supermarket as well as to the Ferry Terminal.
The room was quite small and the bed was comfortable.
The room was quite small and there was little space to store our luggage.

Great location - in the middle of City. Facilities OK. Plastic, raw , plastic toilette cubicle and small room.
The size of the room. Poor view from the window. Plastic, 'prison-like' bathroom cubicle.

Central location. Included breakfast in nearby cafe. Could leave luggage during day after checking out. Good security. Room had sink, kettle, fridge and microwave, iron and ironing board.
No plates, only mugs and a teaspoon. Clothes hanging rail much too high to reach. No bedside table or shelf or light.

location and staff
size of the room - specially toilet and cleanliness

location was good. Room was very small. bathroom in particular was extremely small. It was a wet room and because it was so small the toilet and basin also got saturated when someone had shower. There was a small wardrobe but the rail was so high that I couldn't reach it therefore it was unusable. I am not particularly short at 160cms so it would be beyond the reach of many patrons. There were no bedside cabinets so books, phones etc had to go on the floor. no dishes or cutlery in kitchenette. Comfortable bed but a bit noisy with traffic, alarms etc at night.

great staff service
trash found under the bed that wasn’t ours, make up stains on towels and blood stains on top cover of bed.

No breakfast provided
Room was very small and the entry to the bathroom was a step higher than the floor of the room.
Had to be aware all the time not to bump yourself or fall over.

The Hotels location - which is a 60 seconds walk to Queens Street!
The very friendly staff!
The parking possibilities - You have to pay 30 NZD for a daily based parking spot where I'd recommend to use the parking spot "behind" the Hotel and not the one in front.
The rooms size - I know it is a I is budget - was more like a hostels room with a fridge
The breakfast voucher which provides you the possibility to choose between a different variety of a little Restaurants offerings.
The default menu is offering different breakfasts, so not sure if it is good for the money you spend. I'd recommend just to go to the spot paying yourself - this option could also be cheaper.
