First rate hotel offering great service

The service at Palazzo Alexander is excellent, very friendly and very efficient. The staff are always welcoming and attentive to the guests' needs. The breakfast is one of the best I have encountered in Italy and it was a pleasure to return and see that the hotel excellent standards are being maintained

Nothing. The hotel is a short walk from the centre, but equally it is convenient to some of the car parks outside the city walls

I could not have had a better accommodation in Lucca

The staff was exceptional. We were greeted warmly from the start. The breakfast was fabulous. Checkin and check out were both smooth. A taxi arranged by the hotel arrived promptly to take us to the airport.

Staff great, location good, good breakfast with gluten free options

Bathroom in junior suite Madame Butterfly needs updating. Shower screen had gap at the bottom which leaves a pool of water on the floor. Jet bath outdated- needs replacing

Charming Lucca has a charming hotel that is a perfect part of the experience.

This hotel is inside the walled city of Lucca and is completely charming. The hotel manager was the best in our two weeks in Italy. We received recommendations on restaurants, a concert, where to rent bikes. All of the staff was helpful. The cook to order breakfast was delicious and delivered hot to the table. We would be pleased to stay again at a future trip.

Nothing could have been improved on - we were delighted.

As close to a perfect stay as we could get.

Our favorite stay during our 2-week visit to Italy. We enjoyed Prosecco from our balcony overlooking the rooftops of Lucca. Wonderful staff, especially Roberto, who provided us with exceptional customer service. Outstanding breakfast too!

It is not a 4 four star hotel

The staff went overboard to help us be comfortable at the hotel. Special thanks to Roberto, Mario and Gabriel. The breakfast offered was good with yoghourt, eggs, delicious cakes, and coffee. If you visit by car, there is a gated garage around the corner from the hotel.

Although the hotel is in the middle of a walled city, I wouldn't rate it to be a 4 star hotel. The feeling of the room was that everything was used and old. The parquet floor had some missing pieces. The toilette was so close to the wall that I could touch the wall with my knees. We were expecting something better for an accommodation.

The staff was fabulous especially Roberto and Mario who helped us with many Suggestions and reservations. The property very charming and clean.

Our only complaint was that one of the three bedrooms that we had only had a small tub with a sprayer that made it difficult no shower curtain

Friendly family-oriented little palace

The location was convenient, the room was beautiful with the necessary amenities. Owner and son were friendly and took good care of our needs. Breakfast was nice served in very sweet and cozy sitting room. We felt welcomed and in very good hands

The room setting was a bit awkward, lacking hangings and good spaces for our luggage. Also the old cute gentleman responsible for breakfast orders was not communicative at all, no English. Inspite of his good will it was a bit annoying at times and not fully in line with the otherwise very good service.

Pleasant stay in lovely Lucca

The location was very central. The man on reception when we arrived was very helpful and friendly and gave us good tips, eg he told us about the weekly Puccini concert, which we went to and it was fab. The room had everything we needed.

Our room and bathroom were a bit small for the price. We booked quite late, maybe that was why. Breakfast was less plentiful than other hotels we stayed in in Tuscany although they were 3 stars and this was a 4 star.
