Lovely stay in Lugano

The view from our balcony onto Lake Lugano was amazing! This is a stunning hotel! Beautiful room, spacious & tastefully decorated. Spacious bathroom - with big windows for ventalation Amazing breakfast! Nice pool area. The staff were so kind, friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much to ask. The bus stop just outside of the hotel helped a lot, getting us to the Paradiso train station & back. (We didn't know this at first & arrived at Lugano station, taking bus #2 and had to walk quite a distance with our luggage to get to the hotel) Tip: Travel on to Paradiso station & take bus #1

The main street just outside is exceptionally busy and noisy - but it forms part of the Lugano vibe. The balconies are very close to 1 another. I was on the phone 1 evening, telling my family back in SA about our day and my lady-neighbour actually chirped me for talking too much - yet she and her husband had endless conversations on the balcony till late in the evening. He also smoked and that smell came into our room, so when they were outside we had to keep our doors closed.

We liked the location but the rest was not worth it for the money/value.

The property has very good location. We had a lake view, so was very cozy in the evening on the balcony.

We booked room with ONE large bed and one small couch. Instead we got two small beds which were sliding in both sides, so we could barely sleep with my husband. And the third bed was barely looking like a bed, so was also poor sleep. Please make the kind of facilities, you provide in the information and on the foto.The breakfast was super small. For this type of hotel this is a shame.

Way better than you'd expect from a Best Western; this is a real hotel, and a nice one.

The hotel is very nice (despite being branded a Best Western). The staff was great - super helpful and friendly, and the location is pretty amazing (right on the waterfront, less than a block from the ferry, just a few blocks from downtown in one direction, and just a few blocks from the ride to the top of the mountain on the other). While there isn't a lot of parking, we were able to grab a spot right in front of the hotel. The breakfast was tasty and had a bunch of options; not the best we had but a nice one and worth indulging in. We had balconies overlooking the lake and the view was great.

The AC was pretty weak, which wasn't ideal in the middle of a heatwave - even with it on max the rooms were pretty hot. The coffees at the breakfast were from a machine, so not great.

A great hotel for a quiet break with stunning lakeside views and great service

Our deluxe room had a balcony and a great view but was not as big as I had hoped Its a 10 to 15 minute walk to the centre of Lugano As of October 2022 there is building work just started at the plot next to the hotel - but if you have a lake view room this is not noticeable Hotel was noticeably quiet when we were there the lakeside road in front of the hotel is always busy

Beautiful Lake View!

The breakfast was very good and all the dining areas were spacious and pleasant! You are right across from Lake Lugano and a short walk to town. The room was very spacious and we had a beautiful view of the lake!

We had a small balcony that overlooks some construction which wasn’t pretty but they weren’t working during our stay so it was very quiet which was a relief.

It’s right on the lake and the views are amazing! Staff were very friendly and attentive.

The bed. We spent extra from our budget to stay in a suite (with incredible view) and so were very disappointed to find the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was hard and you could feel the springs through the mattress. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the room.

Really enjoyable and we were made very welcome by the lovely team.

The staff are exceptionally helpful, attentive and lovely. Rating: Excellent! The breakfast buffet is splendidly rich, fresh and offers a range of delights. The rooms were comfortable and very clean; thanks to the attention to detail of staff. One thing that could do with slight improvement is the bath/shower, which, whilst being functional, was a bit temperamental and not installed in the most convenient way.

Superb

Had a room with lake view. Stunning view. Clean room. A/C worked well with 33°C outside. Friendly staff. Breakfast was plentyful and of good quality. Location is close to Paradiso train station. Convient 10mins walk to the city centre. Great experience.

The location.

The room was a bit old and the lake view was only on the side. The breakfast was very limited for a four stars hotel. Little variety of fruit, warms dishes, yogurts, and so on Also, the breakfast room was not very pleasant. The internet frequently failed.

Great location to catch the train to England.

Location was very good to catch the train across the Channel. Staff was friendly and helpful in give direction on how to get to train. Room we very comfortable and clean.

After 40 minutes at the reception the upgraded our room to the one we wanted with a bath tub and a large bed. Breakfast was good and excellent location

I asked for a large bed and a bath tub that was confirmed by the hotel. The room they first gave us was tiny with a small bathroom and a shower. They did not have a parking for my car. It took the receptionist 40 minutes to find us a room that was OK but the aircon did not work.

if you have another choice avoid.

close to the city center and to the lake , the pool was very nice, the house staff was helpful

the rooms are not what is expected from a 4 star hotel in Switzerland, the junior suite is not a suite, it’s a deluxe room, the beds are not enough comfortable.

Good location but quality price is not matched.

The hotel is situated on the lakeside very near to the Lido. There are bars and restaurants nearby.

This hotel officially has four stars but I felt many things needed updating and a finishing touch to be rated this high.
