breakfast was good
staff was responsive and helpful
there's only one elevator for three floors of rooms, and it's tiny (barely big enough for two people with luggage) and slow. At check out time several parties loaded with luggage need to use it at the same time but they have to wait their turn. A long time. The elevator is slow. One cannot simply climb the stairs (the staircase is narrow and winding and one risks falling) to reach the third or fourth floor because the staircase stops at level 2. It leads to a bathroom facility. There is no public toilet in the reception area. In fact there is no reception area. It was a little shocking to find the reception desk in the breakfast room and the receptionist also functioning as the cashier and hostess and concierge. The receptionist has to attend to many issues at the same time. Luckily, she was extremely competent. There was no lobby in which to rest while waiting hours for the room to become available. The bed was comfortable but there were no drawers or closet In which to put clothes. The air conditioning in the room did not work well. The hallways where the rooms were located were narrow and cramped and there were steps in the hallway that had to be negotiated with suitcases. The cramped spaces and one tiny elevator made the stay stressful in the summer heat.

My wife's feedback, as she was the main guest:
"Thank you very much for serving a breakfast earlier (as early as 6:40)! Liked this place )."

Location could not have been better. Check in was easy. Room was a nice size - few steps within the room that you need to be aware off - only short steps - just to those who use the bathroom during the night. Separate toilet was nice. Shower a little tricky to use without getting water onto the floor. Breakfast was a nice selection. Car parking was close to the hotel and the hotel provided a discounted rate.
Nothing

Location was right in the middle of town but was quiet in the room. Room was clean and functional and the view from the room was of the bustling streets below which was nice
Would have liked a shower rather than a bath with shower head. Our room was on the top floor so the eaves were low. Room was small but had what we needed for one night.

Great room, lots of space for such a central location in old town. Nice room styling, high ceiling, spacious apartment, Good aircon.
No Cutlery and plates/bowls

Location is perfect, great design, fairly clean!
very tight especially when you’re traveling with a kid, and low ceiling.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Location very central and convenient. Excellent air conditioning. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Discounted parking at local multi story
Shower was above the bath but very small and angled so difficult to get a decent shower, and water went everywhere.

Great location
Shower over bath with only able to stand where the window was in the roof space. However I don't think all rooms were like this. Fine for a couple of days.

very central, historical area. Hotel embedded well into surrounding buildings. Secure, quiet area.
Located in pedestrianised area, need to park and walk with suitcases but similar with other hotels in area.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Du Palais de L'Isle! The location is arguably the best in the city, right on the Pont Perriere with views of the Palais de I'lle (hence the name of the hotel). . The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast had a good selection and was reasonably priced. We booked 2 rooms: The 'Ducs' suite #205 which was quite large with high ceilings. It was lovely, but really didn't have the view we were hoping for. On the other hand, room 203 was very small BUT had an outstanding view of Pont Perriere and the Palais de I'lle, and it had a small balcony, where one could sip coffee or drink wine. So we were trying to decide which room was better: The large suite with partial view or the very small room with fantastic views. You can't go wrong with either. Also because this is an authentic building hundreds of years old, the lift was very small. There is a tight spiral stairway as well.

Nice room room with a street view. Very good breakfast and everything as expected.
A great welcome and help with finding restaurants in city. This hotel is in a prime location.
All very good, not sure if I had option to upgrade to bigger room and river view !

The hotel is right in the centre of the beautiful part of Annecy
the carpet in the room was very dirty, the sofa faces nothing so you cannot watch the TV from there you have to watch it from the bed. There wasn't a shower curtain so the water goes all over the floor if you stand up to shower, there is a lot of mould in the bathroom it needs an overhaul, I have a mould allergy so I had to take that into account. We stayed this time last year and the room was very much better than the one we had this time. I understand that it is an old building and therefore the rooms are a quirky shape. We could hear other guests phone alarms going off in a nearby room and then again every 9 mins for over an hour, we were near the lift so everyone who walked by our room by the corridor (22) talking loudly we could hear very clearly until the early hours – so it was not a very relaxing stay which is what we were hoping for after a week of skiing.

Super location, right in the medieval part of the city, short walk to cleanest lake of Europe, plenty possibilities in terms of restaurants, food market. Charming hotel in a really charming and fascinating neighbourhood.
Wi Fi at times a bit patchy but that is minor. Have to keep in mind that it is pedestrian area only so parking slightly complicated
