Clean love looking hotel that provided all facilities, nice and warm too and staff was lovely
Location is a bit far from the centre of town, but still the best location if you're primarily driving

Knowledgable staff that helped book tours easily. Having a restaurant on site is handy as the location is not very near anything else. The room was warm (important in below 0 temps!) and spacious enough for a couple. The waiting area is large enough for plenty of guests to stay inside while waiting for pick ups. There is an incentive to not have room service- a 1000Kr restaurant voucher for each day you choose this option which is awesome for the environment. The restaurant food was served hot and had decent portions, albeit expensive but probably not much more expensive than in Reykjavik town. There is a small supermarket only 3min walk away which is very handy.
FYI this hotel is next to Reykjavik airport which is NOT the international airport- that is Keflavík airport and is a 45min bus ride away (the Reykjavik bus terminal is an easy 10min walk to this hotel though). Reykjavik airport has very little air traffic.
The beds were VERY uncomfortable (both mattresses sink in the middle from a lot of use). The bathrooms were poorly designed with small shower cubicle with one shower head that drips cold water, a shower curtain that had seen better days, and overall cramped space. The walls are also quite thin so if you’ve gone northern lights hunting until 2am and want to sleep in you’ll probably be woken by other guests early when they wake up. Overall the rooms are very dated including design, layout, amenities and decor.
I know it is freezing cold in Iceland and the staff are on 24/7 to answer any enquiries but none of them seemed to enjoy their job particularly much. Could have just been the Easter period was busy but it didn’t feel welcoming.
The spa is all underground (not unusual but could have done with some more imaginative lighting and design to not feel so much like a dungeon) and only has a 41deg pool and a cooler one probably high 20s Celsius. The sauna allows bathing suits and therefore has a slightly old sweaty smell to it.

The rooms were clean, except we did have to be moved to another room because the ceiling light didn't work. The breakfast was great everything you need and more.
Having to move to another room once settled in.

Restaurant buffet though expensive is nice.location is nice if you are driving a car. Nespresso machine in the room is a good touch
rooms and bathroom small for the price. Beds are 6x3 feet just enough to accomodate a tall guys. Reception staff will not allow you to check in before 3pm unless you pay extra.

I like the location and friendly staff
On my last night, the hotel was not serving food as normal. They changed their usual menu for the X-mas menu, changing price from 3800ISK to 15000ISK. I would not mind it if I got any information about it, but I did not. I was traveling over 6hrs from the Jökulsárlón - Glacier Lagoon and was hoping for a meal us usual (stayed in a hotel 5 nights - all other night evening meals were available), but when I arrived I was told that there was only X-mas meal available and it is 5x more expensive than the everyday menu - I thought it was very disappointing. I would understand if they give any warning, but no - nothing. So I ended up eating noting after a very long journey.

Tenían problemas con el sistema para aceptar tarjetas American Express. Nunca contestaban el teléfono en la recepción cuando llamabas desde el cuarto para pedir algo.

Plenty of space in the room. All of the tours we went on picked up at this hotel so we didn't need to walk to a bus stop. The artwork in the rooms and throughout the hotel is very nice. The beds were very comfortable. Front desk will order a taxi or other transportation if you need it.
The few times that we did eat breakfast at the hotel it was rather crowded when they opened. That is because there are large tour groups staying at the hotel and everyone needed to be ready to go at the same time. There was also a conference going on there during our stay. Maybe if the restaurant opened at 6am instead of 7am it would be less of an issue.

Good location and good bar
Staff was extremely unpleasant. The room had no ability to charge electronics unless all lights were off. You could only have all room lights on or none- not even the bathroom light could be used if all lights were not on

Location was helpful being near the Perlan Museum and near the domestic airport of helicopter flight. Room is small but clean. The buffet is pricey but tasty, we enjoyed it two nights for dinner.
The room was very hot at night - if you sleep with the window open there is a lot of noise from the airport and cars and people in the car park. If you sleep with window closed the room/bedding are too hot.
Shower very small and a shower curtain for a door which was a surprise.
Expensive for what you get, but then Iceland is not cheap.

The spa area was over expectations with a Sauna, swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
The breakfast had a big selection and the quality of the wood was very good.
The staff was super friendly and very welcoming.
The facilities in the room were a bit old! Lack of lights in the showers and a lack of new equipment such as a new hairdryer.
The TV was a new smart Philips locked! Shame we could not cast put Netflix or enjoy the store for apps!
