Location good
Room was cold and facing the street with only single glazing it was noisy at night.

The room was nice and the bed comfortable - I slept well. The tea and coffee were basic but fine and the room was warm.
Good access to local shops and the front desk were very helpful and efficient at check in.
The shower control was so stiff you would have no chance to change temperature if you were at all weak or had any arthritis etc. I had to really wrench it around to change it.
I think these days good coffee is an expectation with an included breakfast - making you pay extra for anything other than a filter coffee feels a bit off.

Quiet room in the exec area at back of hotel. Clean and very comfortable bed. Also nicely decorated.

Really nice size room and not cramped. Decent amenities to feel comfortable with chairs.
Pillows were a bit hard but not the end of the world - don’t forget to hoover under the bed as well but otherwise it was perfect. A super clean bathroom puts me at ease!!!

Unfortunately, due to the location of our room (the first one at the top of the stairs), meant late-night revelers were heard throughout the night coming down the corridor and kept waking us and our dog (which led him to bark a bit). A room slightly further down the hall may have been better for us. It's a shame as the bed was so comfy, I was ready for a good night's sleep! I'd also recommend some double glazing if possible as our room backed onto the main street where partyers were heard outside.

We have stayed at the Cromwell on numerous occasions now and always have a pleasant time there. We choose it because it is near to our favourite pub ( the Red Lion) and has never let us down. Staff are always helpful and friendly and I book a deluxe room and can always rely on it to be a nice, comfortable one with nice decor and with everything in it you can need. We stay for breakfast which is of a good standard, self service type and with an excellent and various choice of food.
All good. Nothing to dislike

The Cromwell is a good hotel with everything you'd expect, and a good bathroom. Staff are very friendly - feels like a proper hotel. Food is good too. Had a business meeting there the next day, which was perfect for it.
A little pricey and the room was too hot

Room comfortable. Breakfast very good. Staff attentive.
Lots of corridors to navigate to get to room....I had a mobility issue at rhe time so this was tricky. No alternative room offered. Lighting in room was a little lacking.

bed was really uncomfortable
we were locked out of the hotel - which was not a nice experience, due to attending a wedding near by, there was no one answering the phones and the bell wasn’t working apparently (said the guy who was hoovering in the function room at the back), after some banging on windows we managed to get in.
we weren’t asked about our stay on check out.

we got no sleep at all because of a drunk who was trying to get in our room at 01.45 in the morning which lasted for over an hour, he was also vommiting outside our door ln the corridoor, we complained to reception on checking out, they said they was aware of the incident.

1 night stay. We booked a dog friendly room and it was great. Had a back entrance to the grass/car park area, and a front entrance into the main Hotel corridor. It meant we didn’t have to take our dogs through the Hotel to get outside. Great shower and nice breakfast.
Very friendly polite helpful staff.
We liked everything. Nothing to dislike.

The room was lovely - beautifully decorated and very clean. the only snag was a light that didn't work which made the room dark - because it was Christmas it didn't seem possible to replace the bulb. The room wasn't serviced on Christmas Day and I was told that this was in the booking details (but I didn't spot that when I read them)
