We had the most amazing stay at Sonaisali Island. Our room was always clean and comfortable, air conditioning worked well. The cleaning staff left us a little box of scones on our last night which were delicious. The staff at the property were so helpful and friendly. The food was always delicious and reasonably priced ($25 AUD for a delicious burger and chips). So many activities to do on the island every day. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing holiday. A big special thank you to Sala, Aporossa, Sevenaia and Vara for always having the time to stop and chat to us, nothing was ever a bother for them. This was the second time we have stayed at Sonaisali and will always book here when we come to Fiji. VINAKA!!
The only downside of the property (being very picky) is that the beach is not a swimming beach. It is a little expensive to get into town so make sure you think about this before you book. There was also no microwave in the room. These things did not worry us at all.

The property was clean. Pool was very clean.
We requested toilet paper multiple times but were not given any. We had to chase a service staff who was cleaning another room to get a toilet paper.
Buffet dinner finished at 8pm and was not refilled.

The staff were lovely. Treated us like royalty
The condition of the rooms was average at best looks like next to no up keep has be done to the property since first construction.

Amazing staff and amazing food, my son loved the pool, great family environment!
Head chef even gave us a tasting of his brand new menu which starts in May!

Property beautiful the island is beautiful staff people are really nice
Construction site near the island, no beach to swim, food expensive
8.0
The site, amenities and location albeit you needed a boat to get to it which wasn’t mentioned.
Staff were very friendly.
Good quality was average, particularly the dinners. Outside baymaries were covered in small
Insects making the food inedible. For the price its was poor.
Breakfasts were good.
Room was nice although our door often stuck and was hard to open. (Bungalow 35).
Extra deposits and credit card charges were not clearly stipulated in the ad which added additional an expense that wasn’t returned for over a week.

Fabulous sea views from our room
Wonderfully friendly staff
Great pool
AC was so poor and it was so hot in our room that we just couldn’t sleep properly
Food options very limited. After 5 either the full on buffet or a full a la carte in the other restaurant. No light meals like burgers pizzas or salads in either restaurant after 5pm which seems odd
Isolated with no where to go for a walk

The staff is super friendly.
The facilities are old.
Drinks are expensive (we staid in other 2 resorts before this one and this one had the most expensive drinks).
Food wasn’t that great.

Stunning location, pool is the absolute highlight focal point and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We loved our 2 shirt nights here, and would recommend to anyone visiting Fiji!

Great location. Friendly staff. Better than expected in every way.
Rooms could’ve been cleaned daily or have a broom and toilet brush in room for guest to use for small clean ups themself if needed. Especially having small messy children it may be helpful.

A bit far from main town ,needed more activity's specially on the water

good breakfast, comfortable beds , daily housekeeping, relaxing resort, clean lagoon style pool
resort is good people are friendly but there are lot of lizards in their bures and we had big flying cockroaches in our bure. One was crawling on my husband’s face and he woke up in middle of night to kill it . this is creepy and we dont expect this on our holidays !!! we complained many timew but management said clearly they cant do anything about it which was a shame

The people went above and beyond for us to give us the best possible experience during our trip.
It was a little expensive to travel into Nadi in taxis on a daily basis, the food options were limited and the food quality was average.

The staff in general is friendly and greeted but that's all, not much for customer service.
Location is terrible.
It seems that they were under staff at the only restaurant opened because taking the order and receiving the food took ages.
The front desk never picked up the phone in option 0 as they informed.
Honestly overrated yo be a Resort.

The customer service was great. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Jone was the best!! The facilities were nice and the boat operators were awesome!
Nothing but just a heads up, if you plan to sit outside on the balcony, you might need to apply some insect repellent as there are mosquitoes.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant stay . Comfy beds ,
The resort was very outdated and it needs a major upgrade. Choice of food was limited and no variety or choice it was very disappointing. We payed $650 per night which was so overpriced.

Welcome pack with necklace, hot cookie, water and cold towel was great. Entering the building was a great vibe.
Lovely large beds.
Bures are big sized rooms..
In general the hotel is ok, staff need training.
The hotel is on an island, have great pool but the beach is not what you dream about when thinking of Fiji.
I enjoyed horse riding, it was reasonable price too.
Breakfast is worth to purchase at check in, significantly cheaper that time and large selection of food. I was a little said that hot chocolate button is not working for the price but one day a waitress organised it, thanks for her.
Kasa remembers everybody's name at the program desk, incredible.
Fiji cultural program Friday night made outlr week, dancing with the group was awsome. I had my son's Bday that night and the band sang to him via skype. That made my day too.
We could check in as early as 8am, room was ready. Lucky day :)
Bedrooms, beds, linen, towels are generally clean.
Half of the staff act like we are friends. They are trying to make me feel the part of some kind of family. I chose Hilton for the humble and professional high level of service. I pay for Hilton rooms to get this service. If I need pushy, casual, overfriendly behaviour, I just go to a locally owned traditional hotel. From a hotel associated with the name Hilton, I expect always the same service, which I didn't quite get in Fiji Double Tree.
Staff is unsure about international standards. They talk to each other on the floor like we are in the market. You get the napkin thrown on your lap while still talking to each other.
They don't find it important to tell you that only 4 meat is available of the 6 if you purchase a sharing platter.
The bathroom sink smelt absolutely horrible. Someone before us must have made some weird stuff there. The cleaner should have noticed it while cleaning. Water came up from sinks while showering. We asked for maintenance and disinfection, and they said ok, then no one came. The next day, I asked again and then done something, apparently.
We booked for 3 and got 2 of everything. I asked for a robe and was told no more available. This was with only half of the rooms booked.
The worst was for us that mum fell down on the stairs, near the pool on the way to the bar. The place was pitch dark. A shef witnessed this and ran to turn on the light, saying that it should be on. I saw his statement where he admitted the same, but the hotel still didn't think they had any kind of responsibility. Mum isn't wearing glasses and never drinks. It was impossible to see those stairs in that dark. I tried to get an incident report but still didn't get one. None of the staff understood we may need that for insurance purposes. They could have at least offered a massage or dinner for her. She missed out on going in the pool with those wounds.
Generally, the place is darker than usual.

The staff at the hotel amazing - especially the receptionist who checked us in Nainase she was fantastic and made sure everything that was requested was exceeded. We also loved the lady who worked at the dinner buffet front desk she was an absolute gem and the Tavu restaurant was delish but the lagoon styled pool overall was the highlight for me and my family especially my son. We would definitely return again.
Our Bure #2 - was exceptionally clean and beautiful and super spacious for a family of 4 ☺️
Not the hotels fault or a complaint but just a warning for those with a frog phobia - usually after sunset there is multiple little to big frogs gathered on the walking paths after dark.

Every day we started with a relaxing breakfast and lounged around with a no rush feel and very attentive and helpful staff.
The isolation of the resort was just what we wanted, to relax, enjoy, taking the boat over was fun.
As we went at a non peak time it was not overly busy this helped us to further relax and the staff quickly learned our names and always went out of their way to greet us personally.
They allowed an early check in as our flight arrived at 6 AM we enjoyed a great breakfast and by 10 AM they had our room ready.
Every Morning they offered free fresh coconuts to guests to drink from chopped up in front of you!
There was a sign saying NO alcohol or Food allowed on island, and we did not have a kitchen we were VERY limited to our choices for food and drinks.
The diners tended to be a buffy style that were expensive and mostly the same, although the pasta night was worth the money. A number of guest mentioned this and being on an island there was not much any choice.
Room service was far cheaper as an option which may sound strange,

The staff are amazing!!! Beautiful people, super friendly and helpful!!
We stayed in a beachfront bure away from the main hub which was large and very comfy bed. Large shower and bathroom facilities.
The staff were the saving grace for our stay.
Waited well over an hour on arrival for our room to be ready, with no luggage so couldn't even use the pool.
The bure's are duplex buildings with paper thin walls so we could here everything from next door, word for word conversations, snoring, music. Very annoying! The hotel was far from full so they should have had one bure per duplex occupied.
No reclining furniture in the balcony space. We moved a lounger from inside to outside so we could be comfortable.
Room very dark.
Average food from the a 'la carte restaurant. The menu doesn't necessarily reflect what is received on the plate. Didn't try the buffet, didn't look appealing. Dined off the island 3 days out of 5.
$65 taxi fare each way to Deneau and $50 each way for the airport as no shuttle service offered.

The staff were amazing, so friendly and happy to help. They were so much fun.
The pool was great. All the food was amazing including the breakfast buffet.
Rooms were great. The grounds around the hotel were amazing to walk around.
No water was supplied to the rooms and the water bottles in the room were $14 FJD each. They also charged for water while dining. Water is usually always supplied free at other places. Lack of water sports but with the renovations being completed they will be coming soon.
Transport organised by the hotel was fairly expensive.

The welcoming at the watch house at the marina. I liked how I was presented with a shell necklace. Long time this welcoming gesture has never been used in Fiji. I also was very happy when i saw that the hotel has a buggy (golf cart) to take guests to and from rooms especially when the rooms are far away and for my case, was heavy rain. Staff communications was welcoming and happy
I didn't like the complication in paying my room service orders. There was confusion between the kitchen and reception of how to charge it. Why not charge it as per room rates menu 🤷♀️ I made sure everything was sorted the night before I checked out only to be told again in the morning that my room service bill wasn't paid in full the nite before by the kitchen (buffet reception) desk 🤦♀️They had separated some of my breakfast room service order to be paid at buffet desk and the rest to be paid at reception! Apparently it cost me more to pay at reception! Also, when I asked the chef to send more crab meat out, he didn't. I was watching the table all nite, there was only 1 session of crab meat brought out. For FJ$89 Island Food Buffet night, there wasnt much food out. Plus I had 2 more visitors I invited. Spent FJ$267 for just 1 crab claw! And just a reminder, noodles is asian food. Not an island food.
