Top quality room extremely comfortable wonderful breakfast

Spacious bedroom and a nice touch for our dog to have some treats and a tennis ball to play with. Breakfast was superb as was the supper the night before. Good local beer is recommended. Staff all very friendly after a hectic Mothering’s Sunday shift.
My only gripe was that the locals hogged the bar thus stopping me seeing what was on tap. The loud mouth, short bald headed prat knew full well he was being obstructive….

The room was lovely, very comfortable beds and lovely bed linen, spotlessly clean. Lovely views, 10 mins walk to the beach. Really enjoyed our stay. Very nice small touches making it special. We stayed on Sunday and were lucky to have a roast chicken dinner in the evening which was very nice in a cosy setting.
We were really disappointed with the cooked breakfast.

Check in easy, breakfast excellent, dinner excellent, room not upgraded as promised by Booking.com. The room we had was very cold and was quite small. The shower room was very clean and was well designed plenty of room for your wash bag etc.
Only one chair to sit on. The room was very cold on arrival.

Location. Staff are amicable and helpful. Good shower.
Too many cushions which aren't fresh from previous occupants.

Lovely sized room, great products used for breakfast and fantastic location.
No dedicated parking for guests, fan was insufficient for cooling room. Access roads - not the hotel’s fault but so simple to make each road one way only (one down, one up) for traffic flow and safety.

The bed was too small.

Sehr sehr ruhiges außergewöhnliches luxuriöses Zimmer mit mega Aussicht von der eigenen Privaten Terrasse; Zimmer super ausgestattet, Innenarchitektur sehr geschmackvoll. sehr nettes Personal; tolles Pub

Staff were fantastic - very helpful and smiley, despite having to deal with a very busy wedding party at the time.
Breakfast great
Room decor lovely
Although the decor was good, the room was quite small
Not the establishment's fault maybe, but having no cellphone coverage wasn't great - St Austell Breweries should probably invest in something like Starlink satellite coverage (although I realise that the absence of people chatting on cellphones could also be counted as a blessing)
Wifi a bit clunky and hit & miss
Shouldn't have agreed to take on a large wedding party, when they were clearly finding it difficult to cope (but the staff were really fantastic and cheerful, under the circumstances)

fabulous rooms done to a very high standard, really kind staff who were very welcoming.
lower floor rooms suffered from major noise from rooms above when occupied. Breakfast area not very pleasant to sit in, often lack of choice in the morning. parking absolutely terrible-often simply not parking spaces for hotel guests as all taken by pub visitors. Roads into Branscombe are extremely narrow and not for the faint-hearted!!

This is a little hidden gem, great breakfast and the accommodation is comfy.
All good

Beautiful old pub in fantastic location. The staff were very friendly. Evening meal was lovely and breakfast was great.
Pub was busy when we arrived on Thursday evening so it took a while to get served. Could probably have done with two people serving at the bar.

Beautiful room which was well appointed and really clean. Food was great and good value, location was stunning.
Check in at 3.30 and out at 10 was not good value given the room cost £180.00.

The Masons Arms is beautiful. The rooms were perfect, high quality bedding, gorgeous decoration and every little detail has been thought of. The pub itself is cosy, with little seating nooks around, fire pits to keep warm outside and delicious food.
I loved every second of our stay, no complaints at all!

All 100% Bar staff were very polite and the restaurant staff were great. Food was excellent. This was my second stay and I will be returning soon. Close to the beach, 5 minute walk. Highly recommended.
Having to leave. Not having booked another night.

Arrival, we were very early as we were doing a walk. We were able to get a coffee from the bar even though the pub wasn’t open, and were even offered croissants and muffins as there were spare ones from breakfast. The staff on duty were very welcoming and friendly.
The rooms were compact, but had everything we needed. After a major upgrade everything is spotless and wonderfully comfortable. Really nice bathroom, superb beds, a coffee maker, local walking books, and very efficient heating.
All the staff very friendly and helpful, we loved our stay.
The only thing which could have been better was our meal in the evening. My vegetarian starter wasn’t great, and the main course was very disappointing and not as described on the menu. When this was flagged up we found that the kitchen was short-staffed and missing a team member, so I think we were just unlucky on this occasion.
