Quiet and secluded chalet with wallabies

Only a few minutes drive to the visitor centre. Can see wallabies outside the chalet. The steak at the restaurant was delicious. Wifi and TV were both available despite the remote location. Heater kept the chalet warm.

The bathroom was a little dated.

A terrific place with a wonderful restaurant, for those evenings when you’re too tired to cook.

This is the premier wilderness location in Tasmania and having our own chalet where you can self cater or eat in the restaurant is great. The cabin was cosy, great heating options but there could have been a little more in the way of kitchen bits (like plastic and paper wrap and maybe cooking oil), the things you can’t bring when travelling. Overall though, loved every minute there and especially the cheeky Currawong (large bird), that visited hoping for handouts. (Don’t feed the wildlife, People!)

Wasnt there long enough to spend $370 plus deposit 0f $100 still retained for accommodation

Dinner at the local hotel just down the road as CMWV Restaurant was booked out and only 5.30 pm offered

Shower adjacent walls badly in need of repair and rear sliding wire door had holes in it

Wonderful stay in large cabin near park entrance, very convenient food

Quiet cabin in the bush, very near entrance to Cradle Mountain National Park. Restaurant on site was helpful, view from lodge was fantastic.

Perfect place to enjoy Cradle Mountain

Location, facilities, stuff - everything is beyond expectations. Also small things, like having an option to charge e-car, daily fresh milk and laundromat at the premieres is very appreciated.

Clean, cosy, wilderness cabins. Nice lobby and restaurant area.

nice wilderness location. communal laundry amenities. onsite restaurant for dining or pizza take away. quiet, secluded cabins. Large and spacious floor plan. Good kitchen/cooking facilities. Excellent heaters. Nice balcony to relax in nature. Clean.

Beautiful family stay in the wilderness.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Was a perfect base for exploring cradle mountain. Loved the restaurant and loved waking up to snow in the morning and all of the animals that came up close and personal on our balcony.

Not much - It was basic accommodation - But the location is what you are paying for.

A great choice at Cradle Mountain.

Location was great, it was beautifully set into the bushland. Food van produced delicious food, quickly. Beautiful view from the main building. Cabins were a good size, very warm and comfortable. Lots of wildlife directly outside the cabin. Staff were helpful. They even have an EV charger.

The lighting in the cabin was very dim. The electric blanket was not working properly.

Great Location

Loved the location and how close it was to the tourist info centre. Loved how great the heating was after a cold day at Dove Lake. The equipped kitchen.

The bed. Too Hard and not comfortable. Need an upgrade on the mattress.

It was an enjoyable experience for the family

I liked how the villa's blended in with the natural bush location and how close the accomodation was to the visitors centre

nice and cozy chalet for perfect holiday

fully equipped with all the kitchenette facilities, heater and bed warmer. few minutes drive or walk to Cradle mountain visitor center. can feel close to nature since the wallabies come by during the evening. spacious cottage for solo traveler.

not much choice of foods and beverages for the guest. it requires to walk to the nearest hotel for buying some groceries or snacks.

Cabin was clean, it was a great place to stay with beautiful views. Really close to the visiter center and the museum.

Bathroom needs fresh paint, that was all I noticed.

Nice but Pricey

Cabin was simple and comfortable albeit ageing a bit, TV on last legs. Nice and warm though heater takes a while to get going. Close to Visitor Centre and other attractions.

Pretty expensive for what you get!! Though I think same for everything else at Cradle Mountain. Knew the restaurant was out-of-action due to fire but the replacement food van is worse than bad. Once was enough

We loved the location on the Mountain. Heating worked very effectively. The food van was great idea due to renovation of restaurant. The view from Reception was amazing!

the smell in the bathroom coming from rotting wood frame in the shower area. It has been like this for a while I think. A quick coat of paint on the deck balustrading would help too.

Nature Lovers Retreat

Natural environment. Accomodation clean and had all we needed although quite basic. Very snug and warm. Easy to get to all walking trails and close to Visitors Centre. Cradle Mountain is a magic place!

The bed was quite hard, would improve if it had a feathertop! Although no restaurant due to renovations, the food truck was a good compromise. We went to Peppers and had a delcious dinner.
