The quality of service, children friendly (kids club, nanny), great varied food, sometimes themed, the main bar’s atmosphere. Staff was amazing. Room was exactly what we expected, like in the pictures.
Cleanliness could be better, wifi isn’t that great in some spots. Could use extenders close to the beach.

Well situated hotel. Lovely view from the sea view balconies. All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to assist. Staff at the watersports were exceptionally nice and really went out of their way to make it memorable. Cedric was so friendly and was always ready with a wave and advice. Pedro also helped and always had a smile on his face. Sachin cleaned the room like his life depended on it. What amazed me is how the staff work really hard and go out of their way, even if no-one is watching them. Most watersports were free which was amazing.
More entertainment could be provided and entertainment should be advertised. One never knew what was being offered unless you sat at the bar. Besides the cleaning manager, we did not see anyone in a management position asking if all was well. Drinks are terribly expensive. Service to the room is almost non-existent for ice, etc and if you want anything else, they charge you to bring it.

Excellent location, beautiful sandy beaches. Lot of places to walk around . Well maintained gardens, external facilities, room was very nice, well maintained, beautiful large swimming pools, very good entertainments at nights.
Staff were excellent, helpful and went out of the way to make the guests stay pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. We were very sad to leave.
We are vegetarians. The first couple of days we were not very impressed with vegetarian options of dishes from the buffet, but the staff very kind and made some special vegetarian dishes upon our request. They were very willing to cater to our requests which was much appreciated. Satheesh was particularly good and made sure we had good vegetarian food..
We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
A very minor point is the pillows in room. They were too soft. They gave us additional pillows. They said they don’t have any firm pillows at all available. One suggestion I would make to the hotel administration is to have some firm pillows available should any guests request. I feel some guests particularly older guests may prefer slightly firmer pillows.

everything except the beach and entertainment
the beach was nice but awful because too many rocks in the ocean. you could not go without water shoes. plus I was expecting crystal clear waters and it was not at our location. even the one sister hotel cannonier was also very very rocky. the entertainment was mediocre also and did not like how there was no entertainment after 11pm

Overall we had a great week in this hotel, staff was friendly and helpful, tasty food (we booked all inclusive package) and great Animation team.
Location was good as well as we were able to walk to town do all shopping for souvenirs
During breakfast we had to ask staff for coffee 2-3 times before we actually got it - better would be just to leave cups on table so people could get it themselves.

We were on a honeymoon package and it was brilliant! The staff was extremely welcoming and we had a few very enjoyable surprises from them.
Lots of free water sports activities from the boat house provided by a extremely helpful and carefully staff.
The whole setting (the apartment, the pool, the surroundings) was spot on.
Last but not least lots of food varieties offered from the breakfast & dinner buffets.
Nothing to dislike :)

nice location. nice building. good outside area. well maintained.
Rooms were very basic. Unbelievable that water was charged for. Complained to reception and was told what do you expect it’s only a 4star hotel. Staff by and large were curt and unfriendly. Food was uninspiring. Breakfast was fine. The Nautical restaurant was really good. Why was the same standard not in the buffet restaurant.

Half board, breakfast and dinner ok, location good, very good spa. Good facilities and entertainment for kids!
Half board, drinks not included, not even a bottle of water and really expensive. But there are bars and restaurants close to hotel, half price ( beer, food).
At the check out I asked to see all the bills I have signed for drinks and food we had during our stay. There were bills included for lunch which I didn’t sign ( stuff signed them!) and luckily I could prove we were on a visit trip all day and it wasn’t us having lunch at the hotel! So check your bills if you don’t have all inclusive package!!!!

not impressed with the property. the AC units in two of our rooms did not work, the staff is not very helpful and the place feels overly crowded and everyone spends time around 1 bar and 1 pool. I don’t think this is good value for your money. the beach is small and the food average.
not good value for your money. food is average and not available at certain times.
most frustratingly is that we had friends who tried to cancel their reservation a week out and we’re not allowed. the rules on the website state that they have 3 days prior to cancel and they tried cancelling a week out without success. they wanted to cancel their second stay as they were unhappy with this original stay.

* The staff were generally very friendly and engaging and spoke an impressive array of languages. We arrived early and the staff tried their best to check us in early, which we really appreciated.
*We had a standard pool view room and despite this being in the older part of the building, the room itself was large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The balcony was narrow, but a nice addition. Quality of bedding and towels was decent, as were the toiletries. The wifi and air con worked well (although the air con had a slightly irritating hum that woke me up a few times during the nights).
*The All Inclusive package was decent for the 4* price point. There were a selection of wines on offer (including sparkling) as well as a few different lagers. The spirits/cocktails were local brand but tasted fine (guests not on AI were paying around £7.50 per cocktail or £5.50 per wine, so if you enjoy a drink, it's worth upgrading to AI). All water/software drinks are included. The mini bar in the room was stocked daily with Coke or Diet Coke, Fanta, water, beer, juice, Kit Kats and some nuts.
*The buffet lunch/dinner had various stations and seemed to cater more towards Italians and there wasnt a huge amount of local dishes. The pasta and pizza stations were delicious. Good selection of desserts.
*The pool was large and very clean, and it was easy to get a sun lounger (although we did notice people shamelessly reserving prime spots early in the morning and then not using the beds until late afternoon). Towels are provided.
*The beach was nice enough, but the water was shallow and it was difficult to swim fully. Lots of coral, so beach shoes needed. Loved the free kayaks etc that the hotel offered.
*Entertainment in the bar was good- the house band were decent and the magician going table to table one night was genuinely impressive. Generally, the evenings were nice and chilled.
*The spa was beautifully decorated and relaxing.
*The Bravo team (who I understood to be the independent animation team who organised entertainment etc) were the exception to the staff being lovely, and were loud and pushy and would only engage with Italian guests. They would frequently cut the line at the bar or buffet to request items for Italian guests, which was annoying.
*The food at the restaurant was decent quality, but not a huge selection and got repetitive quickly. We were there for 3 nights and were glad to be moving on by the third day. Breakfast was particularly disappointing with a very limited continental selection and pretty awful coffee and juice. There were 4 hot stations, 3 of which did various egg dishes and 1 did waffles. No sausages etc, but bacon some mornings.
This isn't a 24 All Inclusive- it runs 10am til 11pm, and there are very limited (non existent after dinner) snack options outside of the main meals. Not an issue for me, but worth noting.
*It was difficult to get a reservation at Nautica (the a la carte restaurant) and when we did, it was pretty underwhelming. Yes it's nice to he waited on, but the food was ultimately the same food as the buffet, just nicely presented. Men are required to wear full length trousers for dinner at Nautica and this is strictly enforced (which is fair enough, but hard going when temperatures are still over 26 degrees at night).
*There was no drinks service around the pool or on the beach, and the only place to really have a drink was at the main bar (which could get busy, especially in the evenings). The public spaces are pretty open air- it rained one afternoon and everyone (understandably) crowded into the under cover part of the bar which highlighted that there would be be very little space or places to drink if the weather turned for more than a few hours.

We were greeted by Dharma on our arrival who was really helpful throughout our holiday. He booked a meal at the Cannonier for us and was always friendly and helpful. Straight from arrival, you can use the all inclusive facilities and at check out, you have use of a shower room and can eat/drink until you leave. This was appreciated, as we had a late flight. The swimming pools are lovely. The evening entertainment was good and varied. And the water sports that were available all inclusive were good quality and good instructors. The buffet was varied and the a la carte restaurant was lovely with outside tables overlooking the beach. The location of the hotel is great, within easy walking distance of shops, local bars and live music and a casino. We had a great time.
Nothing. We loved this hotel

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Specifically, Ashraf (cleaning), Antsha (reception - apologies if her name is spelt incorrectly), Imtreaz (activity bookings) and Jose / Kevin (catamaran skipper and assistant on day trip tour)
I am not sure how much the hotel can do about it, but the situation with the stray dogs and cats on the island should be addressed as a matter of urgency

The hotel was very well situated to visit the Grand Baie area. Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly with special mention of Ashraf, who cleaned my room and Krishna who liaised with us when we checked in. All the other staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel .

Our choice of Superior room with sea view was a good one -it was absolutely divine to wake up and open the curtains and look out on the Bay and the palm trees and boats. The facilities were great - the beautiful pools, beach bar and restaurants made our holiday as relaxing as ever. The all inclusive package was well worth it - and to be able to visit and use all the facilities of the "sister" hotels - Cannonier and Victoria was a great change of scenery. Everyone was super friendly and helpful - from booking activities to ordering taxis (and even reception assisting in some medical supplies we needed late one evening). Our best night was the "Jam on the beach" by some very talented musicians.
Having to come home after such a great holiday!!
