I loved the little huts and I loved the location and the vibe. The restaurant on the beach with sand in your toes as your eat is lovely. It 😀
The service was a bit slow.

Great location and value for money. However it is a little ‘rustic’. The included breakfast was okay, but the coffee was not good. Oceanfront rooms have a great view of the beach.
The mossie net over the bed is quite dirty, as are the net curtains. The bedding was ripped and marked and there are lots of gaps in the walls to let in mosquitoes. They do however provide an electric mossie repellant in the room and a net.

Mola Mola House is located directly on the beach.
It's a great spot for relaxing and just sitting back and taking in the views.
Food is great and the beer is cold.
There is a list of snorkeling tours available and pick up is just in front of the restaurant at the water's edge.
Komang is a great host - thanks mate we look forward to coming back soon.

MolaMola has a dream location just right on the beach in Mushroom Bay. It has a good restaurant (we ate most of our meals there as it was a lot better than other restaurants in the area). The breakfast was also good, although beware of chili in the morning omelet. :)
The room is nice and pretty basic, could use a few hooks. The beach view huts have their entrances through the bathroom which can be a nuisance and blessing at the same time. :) The garden view huts have the entrances on the front side. But you have to use quite steep steps to reach the room and bathroom.
Mushroom bay does have a lot of mosquitos but the beds have netting around them, just make sure to use it.
When I wanted to hang my beach towel on the balcony to dry, I had to go through the room and as it is impossible to clean all the sand off yourself, the floor got really sandy at some point. :) It could be useful to have a small brush in the room to wipe it away. When it was raining, there was a small leak through the roof (at least I think it was rain not the aircon water).

The location is fantastic right at the end of mushroom bay. We were lucky enough to get villa 1 so we had a great view and a bit of privacy. We travelled with a friend who had number 5 and his was really nice as well.
Komma (the owner) was very accommodating and even gave us a welcome drink - it was very hot when we arrived. Next time we’ll stay a few extra days, we had 3 but a couple more would have been nice. The spring rolls are a must try!!! The only problem we had really was the air con as the box blows the hot air into the downstairs bathroom so it doesn’t escape and therefore the cool upstairs is as effective. We got very hot unfortunately. It won’t put us off from staying again they are a lovely traditionally built old huts right on the beach. We liked it better than Bali Hai which we’ve stayed in twice.

beach location
The stairs up to the room , very steep, and having to go down a separate very steep set of stairs to get to and from the bathroom. Quite dangerous at night.

The location is excellent. I have stayed here before and will come again. The view is spectacular. Room was lovely and the bed very comfortable.

absolutely loved the location, sitting on the balcony looking out over the ocean. can’t beat it…
I didn’t like the fact that people not staying at the property could use the lounge chairs. there was only 9 to start with and a family of 6 used them from 10am to 5pm. This isn’t good enough, they should be for guest only.

no snorkel, kayak to use, it said this was available but they didn't have any equipment. Place needs a touch up, some paint and fixing a few things broken in the room

the huts have many openings therefore the ac doesn’t get too cold and lots of mosquitoes/spiders get in the room

Location is really good, beautiful view of Mushroom bay. Nice restaurants closeby. Breakfast is good.
The bathroom is down at a very steep and dangerous stairs. So planning to go to the bathroom and do everything in the same time. Toilet seat full of mold. Hut is very open which results in LOTS of musquitos in the room and yes also in the musquito net. Also we had a big crab visiting our room at night. Also lot of noise from (fighting) cats and dogs at night.

Loved the whole place, the location is to die for, the manager and staff went over and above to help us and supper friendly. The food from the restaurant is also really good.
The bathroom is down the stairs and quite a steep set of stairs which when you need to go to the toilet during the night can be a bit of a pain.

Beach view with sun loungers available for free and a restaurant at the front door. A nice breakfast, including a drink and tea/coffee was included every day. The staff were extremely helpful and were able to get us good deals on snorkelling trips and boat journeys. They also allowed for late checkout which was greatly appreciated.

It's a lovely beachfront property consisting of traditional Balinese beach huts in Mushroom Bay and offers very easy and convenient access to the ferries, excursions and water activities. The restaurant is great and offers a fabulous menu with generous portions at good prices. The breakfast options were also very good. They serve the best coffee and cappuccinos on the island! Be prepared to get the best, personal service and always with a smile!

We loved sleeping so close to the ocean. It was so peaceful! If you don't like white noise it won't be your thing but we really appreciated it. Our beach front hut was so quaint and cosy. It was clean and perfect for what we needed for our few days there. We loved the space underneath to relax and the staff were happy to bring you your ordered food and drink to them. We did find it difficult to escape the heat at night. The air conditioning had to be set on the coolest temp at the highest speed and we had to keep the door to the bathroom shut so we could keep the room cool. I can't say that this is something to turn me off ever staying here again though it was totally worth every cent we paid!!
Nothing - we loved our stay!
