Excellent value. Easy to walk to city sites. Delicious breakfast. The owner and her son were very friendly and helpful.

The stay was exceptional, beyond all expectations. The welcome was very warm, and I was welcomed as if I were entering a friend's house. The owners, mother and son, gave us all the information about the city by offering us a map. The room was very large, comfortable, well furnished. Very comfortable beds and ideal internal warm temperature. The bathroom with a very large shower. The hotel's location is ideal for visiting the heart of Nuremberg. A lot of opportunities for good food all around. It is located a short walk from the metro stop, but can easily be reached on foot from the station in a few minutes. The breakfast space was very beautifully decorated, with the warm colors of the Christmas period. I didn't have breakfast but the buffet was rich and complete. Thanks for the hospitality!

De ligging was perfect voor mij. In een gebied met genoeg restaurants, de parkeergarage tegenover. Helemaal goed. De hygiëne was fantastisch. Goed bed, grote kamer met kleine extra kamer waar een koffiemaker en waterkoker stond.
Het is een hotel dat door een familie bestierd wordt en de mensen zijn super vriendelijk. Dit wordt mijn vast plek wanneer ik weer naar Nürnberg moet.
Helemaal niets. Ik kan nergens over klagen. Het is geen groot hotel van een keten wat een pluspunt is, maar er is geen zwembad of beautysalon of zo Dat zoek ik niet, dus nets te klagen.

Die zentrale Lage, trotzdem war es ruhig. Das liebevoll hergerichtete Frühstück. Generell die intime und familiäre Atmosphäre.
Das zimmer war etwas schnuddelig, als wenn wirklich lange nicht mehr Staub gewischt worden wäre.

Rate of E250 prpn was incredibly expensive, and didn't even include breakfast or even coffee. We had to buy our own.
Fortunately there is a kettle and a fridge. We know there was a trade fair on in Nuremberg but is it really necessary for hotels to charge these extortionist prices for trade fair visitors? The owner / hostess is a lovely person and very helpful. And the location excellent. Our room was very comfortable.

Spent three nights in this lovely hotel. Very handy location for main city centre and old town, as well as the station. Our host was super-efficient, warm and friendly. Breakfast was super with plenty of variety and the option of scrambled eggs if required. Very quiet, comfortable room. Would happily recommend.

The hotel is conveniently located to the Christmas markets and many other sites in the city. The breakfast was very nice and the rooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly and was very helpful with our stay. I will be staying here again when visiting Nuremberg.

Kerstin, the manager, was very friendly, approachable, very helpful & spoke perfect english. The breakfasts were exceptional, huge choice of fresh food. The rooms were spacious. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet. Easy walk to the Christmas markets.

The room was very big with all the facilities you would expect and it was very clean.. The bed was sooo comfortable I thought about not leaving it. Really friendly owner. Dog friendly (Molly even got a couple of treats 😊). Really good location and only 10 mins from the hauptmarkt for visiting the Xmas market. Can't fault it.

I have travelled extensively for work as well as leisure for over twenty five years and have frequently stayed in Germany. Hotel Franconia must rate as one of the best guest houses I have ever stayed in. Kirsten as host is an absolute gem and did everything to make my stay a pleasurable one. The guest house is also within walking distance to the historic centre of Nuremberg. Breakfasts are tasty. Kirsten is also very knowledgeable about Nuremberg and can advise on all the tourist sites.
While I thought that Hotel Franconia was truly excellent there are perhaps two points where there could be some improvement: (i) The soap in the bathroom was a liquid soap contained in a few small plastic packets. Better and more convenient to have proper cakes of soap. (ii) Scrambled eggs was offered as a hot option for breakfast - but more hot egg options and sausages and bacon may be a good idea.

I am not used to give a 10/10 but they deserve it. From the details in the room that make it feels they have furnished each of them with a personal touch, to the breakfast buffet - only for 4 people in total on that day!
The bathroom was small but perfectly functional and furnished. Do not need more when you are on holiday
A family and welcome atmosphere, thanks also to Ms Matkey always ready to give the right suggestion to visit the city or to join some advices and a chat.
To whom joins and enjoys a slow holiday and look for having a personal "greeting" with local people.

Very nice host, clean and spacious room, directly in the city centre and nice to walk around
extremely high charge for a dog (based on our experience, the charge is usualy between 0-8 EUR, here it was 12/night)

Nice hotel in the heart of the old city, close to the attractions. Clean room, very kind reception. Parking possibility on the other side of the street ( 12 Eur/day for the hotelguests).
The lady at the reception informed us about all the important things. We had a short, but very impressive stay.

The hotel was in a great central location, near lots of attractions, restaurants and cafes. There’s a market and U-Bahn station nearby too. On arrival, the lovely receptionist gave us a map and wrote down lots of things we could do in the city during our stay, and recommended some traditional German restaurants to eat at. The room was just what we needed, clean and comfortable, plenty of storage. Would highly recommend this hotel!
There was a busy car park entrance opposite the hotel, so it was a bit noisy during the day. However I understand that this is out of the hotels control, and thankfully the noise wasn’t really a problem at night when we were trying to sleep.

Bigger, cleaner and friendlier than expected for the price. The hotel owner was so helpful and friendly, and we would go out of our way to stay there again when passing by.
