Mr Tuna and his family are nice people and very kind.
5 days for about 6500 baht is way, way, way overpriced for a 1 star room in a very bad and dirty condition. I get a 4 star hotel in Phuket for 5 days for the same price with the bookings app. There was no TV in the room when it said that there's one in the room I booked and paid for. The shower wasn't working, all the water from the metal hose of the shower was leaking from everywhere and dripping on the floor, therefor there was no water coming out from the shower head. And the water from the sink and shower tasted salty. Might as well just go and take a bath or brush your teeth in the ocean.

We were allocated two bungalows next to each other as requested and a bonus was that they faced onto the estuary with verandas to sit on to watch the wildlife and comings and goings of rivercraft. We weren't too far away from the beach but nicely secluded and quiet. The room had everything we needed except that we could have done with some cushions for the outside furniture which was lovely, but made of wood and a bit uncomfortable without cushions. There were adequate towels etc provided. Nice to have a mosquito net too...
Mr Tuna was so helpful and fun. His restaurant wasn't open every night but his food was excellent when it was - definitely the best Massaman I've ever tasted! (although the breakfast was a bit limited). For the other evenings we were able to find nice bars and restaurants very close by.
Mr Tuna kindly did our transfers from Tonsai Pier in his longtail boat which was very easy to arrange.
Some of the furnishings (curtains) were a bit aged and could have done with a wash.

Not much
Breakfast was really not good. I don't understand how the reviews say its amazing.
The guesthouse is located on the otherside of the island- you can only access it via longboat which you need to pay for (not disclosed in booking).
The room is super basic and dirty. I slept with my sleeping liner.
Mr Tuna's wife is very unpleasant.

-nice staff
-quiet place
-free kayak
-no proper lock system on the door
-must pay an expensive trip by boat from the pier to the hotel(1200 back and forth). You should avoid it if you only spend one night.

The staff at the hotel we're the best i have crossed in thailand. The chief and owner tuna made the best Fried Crab in yellow curry sauce i have had in a lifetime. The hotel was a 10 min trip by longboat to the hotel / cabins. There was a resort down the road at 9,000 balt per night and a smootie for 195 balt. The price difference and quality with food and service was in par with the fancy resort. There was a full body massage available for 500 balt vs 1750 balt for the same one hour massage.I thank Tuna James and Mrs Tuna for a very enjoyable and pleasant stay at PP Red tuna Hut.. Next time in southern thailand, I will return for 3 to 5 night's dlstay at this location. James
There was A charge to get to the location should either add into cost 50% less then charged as the are always many customers going to and from town due to arrivials from all locatios on the mainland and nearby islands. Also, i would schedule a trip for guests to visit all sights nearby and share the cost between those at the resort. This would reduce customers having to join other groups and keep in family. Well worth a stay of 3 to 5 days each time you visit. James from Vancouver bc Canada.

What can I say Mr Tuna is a fantastic host. He gave us kayaks to use for free and couldn't do enough for you. Bed comfy in room, showered works fine and there is a fridge.Stunning location away from the madness of the other side
No WiFi in room only reception. Be aware you have to pay 600THB per person by long boat to get there and back by long boat on top of the ferry

The accommodation was not in the hustle and bustle of the main area and this was a blessing in disguise. a small community of shop’s restaurants and bars made everyone feel safe and respected

We liked the owner, Tuna, who does his best to run the place. Due to Covid, these areas have been strongly hit by the lack of business and people are working very hard to recover. We also loved his open kitchen restaurant.
The price was (in our opinion) high for the quality of the accommodation. The first night we got a smaller room than what we had booked but we had to pay the price of the bigger room. Then we got a bigger room but without any of the facilities described (eg no TV, etc). The rooms are really basic.

Communication with the owner who is not there is not so good. But the manager Tuna and his wife are great.

Super friendly and funny people, great location far away from the crowds, walking distance to Nui Beach. We ate the best Tom Yum ever in Tuna's restaurant! After reading reviews I was scared about a room, but it was really ok, AC was working perfect, room was comfortable, and had a big bathroom.
No fridge, room wasn't cleaned for 3 days (all our stay). We were waiting for over one hour for a transfer, they came 20min after my call, 250 THB per person for one way, total 1000 THB for two people go and back (if we come for one night it would be more than for a room).

Everything! Location is the best, it felt I was in a private beach with enough restaurants and tourists (Thai and westerners) around to not feel alone. I'm currently staying in Loh Dalum and doesn't feel as special. From there you have an easy walk to a big long beach 30 min.away, then you can hike to viewpoints, go.on kayak. Mr Tuna and family facilitares everything with a price that no one in Tonsai pier could match, with probably more quality. They lent me amazing snorkeling gear, much better than the one I bought in a top dive centre in Australia. They also left me a kayak with which I could go to Nui beach, which is easy to go walking from this place (in low tide). Nui beach was a highlight really. They also have a restaurant with great food and breakfast was really big. I had seriously the best time ever, Mr Tunas wife felt like a Thai mum. I already miss them and that gorgeous place.
It would be great to add mosquito nets to the windows of the main room so to be able to open, as it is in the toilet. Seems a common thing (not having nets) in Phi Phi.

The friendly and trustworthy staff are a very big part of the enjoyable Red Tuna Bungalow experience. The home cooked food is a standout in this rustic small village of restaurants, massage rooms, mini stores, between Loh Bagao viewpoint and Loh Bakao bay. The rustic standard room has a/c, which was appreciated. Good free wifi signal in restaurant.
Property would benefit from periodic bursts of temporary skilled help to accomplish deferred bungalow repairs and landscaping care. Only one power tap in room. Wifi signal in room not visible.

Mr Tuna took care of everything for us from picking up from the pier to buy ferry tickets for us. Great kitchen in a super chill side of the island.
