We have been to the hotel before and knew what to expect. In some ways things had even improved eg) the evening meals were much better than last time we stayed, when we were a little disappointed….better menu, better cooked. This time we had a ‘superior’ room which was lovely (with one minor caveat, see below)…..spacious, well-equipped and very clean. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is uplifting and the staff are excellent. The building itself is a wonder and we can enjoy just sitting in the lounge areas with a drink or coffee…..watching the world go by. Also, I have to recommend the Ledbury Ales beers, which I don’t think were available last time we stayed : excellent, especially the Dark!
Just a detail, but our room (20) had the kitchen extractor fan right outside our window, which made a deep, low-level noise from early morning until about 9 pm. We could have done without this.

Pretty much everything. Loved our room in the old part of the building with sloping floor and beams (I’d consider changing the modern wardrobe and bedside tables though!).
Staff helpful especially the housekeeping ladies!
Restaurant was closed when we arrived at lunchtime as staff had gone home (guess it’s a sign of the times though within hospitality). Luckily, we found the excellent Prince of Wales pub - great food and brilliant range of ciders, real ales and spirits.

Breakfast and choices were superb, as was the evening meal the day before. All the staff were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. There were many little touches which were so appreciated
Noisy air con unit outside bedroom window detracted from peacefulness

Room very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful old building with lots of historical interest.
No lift - but I'm not sure where they could put it! Car parking was free but the access was a bit awkward, especially if you have a large vehicle!Prett

No need to include breakfast on when charging during the week. It should be optional as I leave for work at 6.30am

Hotel is a traditional coaching inn decorated and appointed to the finest levels. Accommodation was roomy with a very comfortable bed. The restaurant was good value and some of the dishes on offer were superb (Swordfish, mussels and vegetarian taste all excellent). Breakfast was beautifully cooked as well.
If taking your own car, there is not easy access to the car park which is small but there is a public car park right next door which is inexpensive for a 24 hour stay. Only one irritation was the number of e mails sent before we arrived asking us to book a table in the restaurant.

The restaurant was good and very reasonably priced. The morning and evening staff were all extremely friendly and efficient, and they provided the best hotel breakfasts we have had in a long time, with lots of choice and meals cooked to order.
The building is old and full of atmosphere, which is great, but you do need to be careful with sloping floors and, in our room at least, a slightly sloping bed. That said, the bathroom was immaculately clean with modern facilities and a very good shower.

We were attending a wedding reception in the hotel and everything appeared to be perfect. Excellent staff on hand with nibbles and drinks. The wedding dinner was excellent and efficiently served and attentive staff attended all evening, clearing glasses etc.

Great old hotel situated in the middle of town.
Plenty of history.
Floors uneven room too.hot (due to unseasonably hot weather)
Getting into the car park a tad difficult to.find and tight to turn into. Don't miss the sign.

Loved our room ivy cottage. It was nice having a separate upstairs and living area. We only stayed for one night but I imagine the extra space feels luxurious if you're staying for a longer period of time.

Everything went well - from the friendly guy on the check in to the quality and quantity of the meals served by attentive and friendly staff. The room was spotless and full of character. Even bathrobes and slippers were provided.
I can't think of anything that could have been better! Wish we had stayed longer.

The room and facilities were quite lovely. As my wife has dementia and my sister has had both knees replaced we would have preferred only one flight of stairs. Dinner was very good as was breakfast. All the staff we met were most pleasant.
Mentioned that above. Nothing really to dislike. Both my sister and my wife found getting into the bath for a shower difficult.

We loved our stay at The Feathers. I’d booked the trip as a delayed Christmas present for my parents and it absolutely met and exceeded our expectations. The food is superb (we’d recommend booking a table for dinner), the rooms were gorgeous and Ledbury is a lovely little town and a great base for exploring the Malvern Hills. We hope to stay again!
