Value for money

I booked in offseason for around 5k for 2 person, We boarded at 12am ,They roamed in the day time upto 6 ,we can buy fish and they will prepare it for free.Fishes in the small islands are bit costly. Food was decent enough,they provide Homely food. Boat is a decent one with all facilities,At night they stayed in a village and ac is provided during this time from 9 am to 6am. Locations around it are very beautifull.Had a nice stay

For veg people ,there is no much variety of food.

India most worest service. We never expect such bad service in my life. Pls listen my story. My booking date is janvary 4 the tour plan on janvary 26. 22day back I booked the house boat. But staff rejected me unnessary reason. I requested for good room. But they offers very very bad room. Dierty room in front of kitchen. The room is not good. Fully bad smelling. My dear friends My kind request to you. Before booking. Pls confirm the room type. Never trust the travel people. Specially Vaishnavi tours & travels. I hope you can understand the cheaters misbehave. Pls care while booking time

Very average experience

The location was nice. The boat was spacious, but there could be more possibilities to chill out on the deck. It was not very comfortabe.

We didn ´t expect a luxury boat, but the toilet was smelly and a bit leaking. The food was average in quality and there was not enough raw vegetables for everybody. We were offered to buy extra seafood in the village which was way overpriced and the cook was not able to cook it well. There was no toilet paper in the toilet and only one towel for 4 people. We had to ask to get glases for water which was on the table and for silverware.

Exceptional

This is a houseboat that covers a similar route to most other houseboats in Aleppey. We were on a boat with four rooms, however, there were only three more people. The boat was big and cozy so that we had enough privacy. The staff was very polite and friendly. The room was very nice and clean, comparable to European standards. The meal was delicious with vegetarian and non veg options.

The information on booking.com could be more precise.

A night in the house boat of Alleppey

The dinning area was good.

A briefing by the staffs as to how we are going to plan the trip would have been useful.

Superb

We stayed houseboat in second week of December 2022. After reading reviews I was suspecious of quality of houseboat. I contacted property manager and asked details. He sent few videos and photos, to my surprise, houseboat was as shown in video. Owner has recently renovated the houseboat, very clean and nearly maintained properly. Afternoon lunch is tasty as compared to dinner. However you can order different food but order has to be given in afternoon so that before leaving the shore they buy all raw material. Fish fry served during lunch was very tasty. Manager takes care of all needs, they start in afternoon and cruise boat till evening 5:30 PM. after that they erect the boat. Boat is double decked with dinning room on upper floor having good music system. Passengers can enjoy having group dance. Rooms can easily accommodate 4 persons. Morning breakfast is also very tasty. They don't arrange hot water for bath, however as per my knowledge, same is the situation for all house boats in Alleppey.

The big Houseboat scam.

The staff were friendly but that was it. Nothing else was good about this trip.

The houseboat was falling apart. The fixtures were old and worn. The bed sheets were still dirty from the previous guest. The chef couldn't cook anything that didnt have spice in it. Their English was limited. There was an engine smell in the bedroom. The houseboat polluted the waterways which were black from sewage. It was all diesel so belched black smoke into the air. Not a good experience at all. No card machine so had to get cash. No receipt for the cash. Then they wanted me to cancel my booking so they didn't have to pay commissions to booking.com.

The food, good people, worked according to our needs

Rooms could be bit more clean. Lot of dust on furnitures and fans.

Good place for groups not for couples

Rooms were clean the cruise started on time. The food was good.

There were lizards in the open area of the boat. Lot of them and whole boat was covered in mosquitoes after 6pm. The staff drank the soft drinks that we had bought for ourself without even asking our permission.
