Superbe... A refaire pour une période plus longue afin de visiter la belle ville de Troyes.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis et la propriétaire nous a communiqué les renseignements utiles pour passer un agréable séjour; L'appartement est confortable, bien équipé et propre. De plus, il se trouve à proximité du centre ville et des lieux d'intérêts.

A dream location in one of our favourite French cities

Sat nav found the property easily. There was no problem parking close to the Gite to unload the car, and we were warmly welcomed by Brigitte and her son (who's English was brilliant). The location for the heart of Troyes could not have been better, in fact the 'Heart of Troyes' was at the end of the road just 10 minutes walk away. Brigitte respected our privacy, but was always on hand if we needed help. Well equipped and very comfortable, would not hesitate to recommend the property

Overnight stay travelling to Alps

Convenient location close to city centre. Easy to park nearby. Nice , tastefully decorated and well appointed apartment, very helpful owner- the radiator in the bedroom did not work well so the owner gave us a portable heater which kept the bedroom warm. Would be happy to return :- )

A minor niggle : little dark in the evening when getting down the stairs outside the apartment, the automatic lighting switches on with a bit of delay so need to be careful going downstairs in the dark.

Excellent overnight stop

Comfortable apartment, well furnished with a mix of old and new. Good space to relax and read etc. The bedroom was comfortable though I found the sheet a little rough especially compared to the lovely duvet cover. Nice bathroom with bath. Secure underground parking opposite. Very friendly hostess.

Apart from the sheet it was perfect for an overnight stop. It may be worth noting that the height limit in the parking means it is not suitable for a larger SUV

Superb 'ancient' location

Superb location in the ancient part of this historic city. We had the complete run of the ground floor and could park our car for free on the road. Everything in the house was in excellent condition.

Just what the doctor ordered, quiet, peaceful, comfortable and well appointed. Perfect stay.

Very comfortable and very well appointed place. Great bed and bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed and the sitting area cosy and comfortable. Parking across the street and it is an easy walk to the old town.

The heater in the bedroom was a bit temperamental, which we mentioned to the owner, who is lovely, and I am sure she will have it attended to pronto!

Good location in the medieval centre close to restaurants. Comfortable accommodation. Good kitchen.

Bathroom, but not toilet, only accessible through the main bedroom but it's an old property and difficult to change.

Enjoyable stay in charming town

Set in quiet part of the town close to cathedral and 10 minutes from centre. Street parking was available. The town has great charm but not over touristy. Most enjoyable few days.

Won't be back.

The location was good and the parking across the street was easy and free. The decor was nice and the house is in a quiet area.

The host did the minimum. She gave us the keys and gave a very brief explanation on how the locks worked. The blinds and curtains were all drawn, I suppose because of the heat, but the place felt like an underground tomb. No visible windows and two very weak fans, one in bedroom and one in living room. We could not relax or use the living room because it was so hot, so we were essentially holed up in the bedroom, which is very small. The host became friendly on the morning we left. We felt like she was a little obsessive on getting her keys back. We must have been reminded about 8 times. After she got her keys, then she loosened up and was friendlier. The bigger complaint though was that she does not provide breakfast. This was understood in the listing. No problem, but no suggestions as to where we might go for breakfast or even for a supermarket to buy supplies. Not helpful.

first impressions were misleading, it’s better than that

courtyard, large lounge, well equipped, fantastic shower and bathroom,lovely host, easy walk to bars restaurants. or good kitchen to prepare own food.

open the door and just a bed in a smallish room, but don’t be put off

Exceptional

Well located within walking distance of the town centre and passing great churches and the cathedral on the way. The apartment was cool compared to the hot day outside.. We even had some cold air fans to keep the temperature down. The living room,bedroom and bathroom were all of a good size. Lovely walk in shower. Kitchen area was small but had everything necessary to make simple meals. Parking was possible on the road outside.

No negatives.

A nice place to relax in

The 1 bed flat is a part of a historical timber framed house which is a feature of Troyes. The access is through the courtyard into the bedroom first then pass the kitchen to get to the sitting room. The place is finished to a high standard with some antique furniture, a good night sleep is guaranteed. Very central location with all tourist attractions in walking distance. The underground parking is well worth the 10 Euro per day charge. Super friendly hosts that live in the same building are always there to help if you need.

A great place for a break.

This was a gorgeous little apartment right in the historic part of Troyes. The apartment had everything that one needed and even included secure parking. An easy walk into the centre of town.
