Bad manners and a lack of basic interpersonal skills when dealing with guests

It was clean and well situated for the beach and the town.

I popped downstairs in my dressing gown at 7am on my first morning and the manager/owner decided that this was a good time to begin pestering me for payment. They could have asked me for payment when I checked in and I was not due to check out for another 48 hours, I was not planning to flee the country in my dressing gown to avoid paying for two nights' accommodation in a mediocre hotel. This is just really bad manners and he just lost me at that point. One of the sockets in the room didn't work. They also do this weird thing of locking up the front of the hotel at 10pm, so you come back from the town and are alarmed to see a hotel that appears to be closed for the night. I found staff and they let me in but it is such an odd thing to do. There are much better places to stay in Mirissa in the same price range.

Exceptional

The owner and the staff was very nice and welcomeing... Very easy access to the beach (just across the road) and the food was good....

Nothing to dislike but there were some flies due to the weather and they even made sure to deliver the food to the room because of it.... Very good customer service....

Superb

The rooms were very spacious, with a big terrace. The breakfast was good and the staff was very kind. The position also is very good, just 50 meters from Mirissa beach, you cross the street and you already are on the beach.

Exceptional

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is big and clean. 1-2 mins walk to the beach, a lot of restaraunts and shops around. Beware: monkeys can come to your door and steal something 😉

Velue for money and great supportive staff

Amazing staff and hospitality. Breakfast was awesome and the management was flexible in meeting our expectations.

Overall facility and the cleanliness did meet the standard but however they could improve by making few adjustments. Mind you that the country is rebuilding after Covid + the recently facedffinancial crisis.

Great location, good staff, good value

Great location to access all the local beaches. Friendly staff if sometimes absent. Goldie the dog!

The room wasn't cleaned every day. Could have done with new towels each day.

Good conditions for a reasonable price.

Friendly and helpful host. 50 meters from the beach. Nice rooms for a reasonable price. In Sri Lanka, good water, coffee and tea are brewed twice as tasty, especially if it is also real Sri Lanka tea.

A great 4 night stay near the beach with a fantastic room and fantastic staff!

We had a great 4 night stay here the room was massive with everything we needed!Breakfast was great each morning and the staff and management were amazing. Can’t praise this place enough and will definitely return when things return to normal! Thank you Hotel Vacanza for giving us a great stay!!!

Big room. Decent internet.

No toilet paper. No hot water one of the days. Many broken or nonfunctioning fixtures.
