Clean room,

The night was horrible because of extreem noisy very poor sound isolation of other rooms. For people who have lost there hearing this hotel is a real treat. TIP : bring extreem big earmufs !

We booked this place for its price. We are at the end of a 4 week bicycle tour of France. Arrival in La Rochelle inadvertently matched their big concert festival, and most places were booked and prices were high. We've stayed in many comparably priced hotels and they were fine. The hall bath and shower didn't worry us. This was not like the others. Good things: * The host left the key in a lock box outside the hotel an messaged us the code to retrieve it. This was convenient. There is no reception desk. * The room was reasonably clean. * They have posted quiet hours, and the place was pretty quiet. We heard a neighbor showering at 1:30am (probably just returned from the concert), but nothing else. Without a window there was no street noise.

Our room did not have a wall window. It had a ceiling window, and a floor fan. That worked until we awoke during the night to pouring rain coming into the room. We shut the window (no idea how long it had been raining) and it was quickly uncomfortable - hot, sweaty. No wonder the floor is all warped. I bet many times the rooms had open ceiling windows and got rained on, damaging the floor. Thankfully nothing of ours was damaged because much was still in bicycle saddle bags. Other notes: * The room was VERY small. * The electrical outlets were not in good places to charge your devices, especially if running the fan. * The TV was smaller than my computer monitor. * There is no covered or off street bicycle parking Booking.com should rate this as a one-star hotel. We should have spent the extra 40-50€ and gotten a room at another hotel
